BlueMermaid - thanks for the vote of confidence. You are right. The food will be there for another day...
Birman- I always wanted a brother! What a kind, thoughtful gift. Lucky you.
My husband gave me a Wii for Christmas last year 08. I used it a lot at first and then not so much. Just started again recently. Like this diet - it is all in the motivation.Have fun with it!
Chaplains wifey - 60 pounds in less than 3 months?? Seriously? How have you had the energy to walk 3 or 4 miles a day??And what do you eat each day? That's about 5 pounds a week. I am amazed. What is your secret?!?
BevS - Did a second big Lindora order even though I haven't received the first one yet. Everything was 25% off and it wasn't hard to get to $100 for the free shipping. The items were marked 25% off individually just as you thought. Thanks for the tip and please keep telling us whenever you know they have a sale.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! OMG- you just about killed me- that is SO FUNNY- I just find it hysterical- "Sorry God" who would think that teeny tiny cup of grape juice (i think real blood might have less carbs...) and i guess the bread count too huh? Anyway who would think they would leave us fleeing from the room and re entering when its safe and sound... luckily you don't seem to be phased by peer pressure... and i hope no one judged you for the retreat... god understands.... Next time fnd out when communion is and bring some food coloring and and some water for your symbol of blood and like part of bar for your symbol of his body- I think you'd get an A for effort.... or you could just retreat like you have diarrhea or something... thats what I would do in an "emergency Carb situation" .

But maybe even one of estrogen- which is stored in fatty tissue- and since so much is being released the hormone is being released along with it- anywho my hormones and period have been going nuts and i would love nothing more than to be back to my joking happy bubbly self, but realize its not just a " pull yourself up by your bootstraps" kinda thing... it feels more like i got a damn rain cloud following me around.
Sorry if this seems *****y, maybe this is EXHIBIT A of this diets 3 week effect on me- and Im trying everything i can to get "myself" and my personality back but its MIA.

I guess this just proves how things can be taken wrong when typed. I by no means thought anyone struggling with depression need to kick themselves in the butt and get over it. It was meant to be encouraging that we are all in this together. Thanks for all the research you did on the topic. I am fullfilling most of the substitute ways of getting seratonin, so maybe that's why I am not experiencing these things.

I tried out their new Wii Fit. What fun! Problem is, it's not cheap. $320. After we played with it for an hour they asked if I like it. I said that I really did. Then.... they brought out a brand new full Wii and Wii Fit system. A present for me! They know how much I love techno gadgets, commented on how well I was doing with my weight and health progress, and wanted to support me.

BIRMAN!! HOW COOL! I'M EXCITED FOR YOU!! (and maybe just an eensy bit jealous or maybe envious is the word... but just an infinittesmal amount) That is soooo wonderful they want to support you AND WHAT SUPPORT- BRINGING OUT THE BIG BUCKS! You must keep me updated on what youre doing and the different games you get for it! But remember don't work up too big of a SWEAT by getting your heart rate up- because that will put you into gluconeogenesis- i had to learn that the hard way, unforunately. anywho- there is so much you can do on the wii fit, i have wanted one- CONGRATULATIONS- and congrats on all the "haters" bein jealous of your smokin body!!

No, I don't think so either.
Scale starting to get stuck. Time for a scale dance-- like a rain dance but gets the scale moving down instead of rain coming down. LOL.(shades optional)
Did you buy wine in Napa like you planned? I'm the one who suggested you taste and spit. Any luck with that?

You started 4 days after I did and you're doing better. If I can lose .4 lb. by tomorrow morning I will have lost 21 lbs in 7 weeks.

Are you exercising?

thats a good smilie- lol- sorry - i have been in a FOUL MOOD- and I took that the wrong way the "B" word might suit me better, ssometimes. i've been doing most of the alternative methods too but it doesn't seem to be helping me and i guess I'm frustrated- I guess sleep is the biggest one I have to work on. I'm not used to feeling like this!!! I want my fun loving joking bubbly energetic self back- but i want this weight gone. forgive me for being little too snappy.

I don't believe God would inflict the terrible 4 (calories, fat, carbs and suger) on you for taking communion. I took communion this morning. We aren't offered wine, but had they, I might have skipped it. So I understand where your coming from. Your an angel.

Yes, for me I got my period and I have Mirena and haven't really been getting any either as I had m son 14 monthes ago- but i got a full on period for a week about 6 days into the diet and now i feel like i am about to get another one, i know my coach said this diet made her period start because it does mess with your hormones- insulin, glucagon, and i believe even estrogen since it is stored in fat and were releasing and burning so much fat- but alas thats somthing else I need to research. it would not hurt asking your coach, if you are concerned. i know were not the only ones who have had thiss happen.

Goddess- Thanks again for doing the hard work to keep us informed! Great info that will help us all.

Novak- So funny! Thanks for the ideas. Actually, my family will probably eat everything I would like to - at least twice!

JamieRN- BlueMermaid had most of the great ideas for you. I also split my 2 cups of veggies into 1 cup and had a 1 cup serving mid morning and then 1 cup at lunch and the same for the afternoon snack and then dinner. The first week it seemed to help me as I was hungry until the ketosis set in. You will really like this plan after you get going.

Chaplains wifey- I too walk, but usually 2-3 miles about four times a week. I think being out in the sunshine and moderate exercise has kept me from the depression and down feeling some of us have experienced. I hope it helps with the skin tightening too.

I am roasting veggies on the grill along with some pork. I like to use the veggies cold on my salad during the week.

My NSV for today: I took my girls shopping and I came home with a new pair of pants and a top from Gap. The pants are a size 12 - woot woot! When I started IP I was in a very tight 14 or a loose 16. Now I fit comfortably in all my old 12's. The top I got was a fitted large. Before I was in a tight XL. It helps that most of the inches I have lost are in my bust I guess some of those inches were maybe back fat though. LOL

Oh, and last week my husband said the sweetest thing. He came to my work to meet me for dinner. He is always very complimentary and tells me that I'm beautiful and hot. Well this time he said he couldn't help but smile as I walked towards him and that he was 'captivated' by how great I look. awww... He is so proud of how well I am doing on this diet. Also, yesterday my 10 year old son hugged me and said, "Wow, Mom! I think my arms could go twice around you!" haha

Ok, I guess that was more than one NSV.

Goddess, thanks so much for all of your research on the moodiness aspect! I tried to get a little sun in today (drove with the sun roof open) and I actually do feel better
