today I resisted going to McDonald's. I was stuck in a traffic jam right outside the restaurant (in fact if I had gone in I could have probably gotten around the traffic....and I reeeeeally wanted a little greasy hamburger, fries and a coke. mmm. but I resisted...

but then I ate too much at dinner. bah.

Last night I lost control and went into WInn-Dixie and bout TWO packages of their pre-made fudge brownies... I had one in the parking lot.... and then felt so guilty I went to the gym and ran for 30 min and made my first apt. with a personal trainer.
Then after my chicken stirfry dinner I had a half of a browniew for dessert.
So it was a resist when you consider I wanted to eat ALL of them with a big jug of milk.

Last night my roommate was making something yummy involving shrimp and Italian bread for dinner. I ate early at 5 and after waiting to digest, went running right as she started to cook. I didn't come home until after she & her bf had eaten. When I got there, there was a slice of the bread left on the counter - fresh, soft inside, white Italian bread - and I just walked away. Wasn't even tempted!

I've also been really stressed the past 2 days b/c Hurricane Dennis is coming straight for me. Usually I'm like whoa an emotional/stress eater, but I've been totally OP for food and exercise!

Good job everyone!!!

Last night I REALLY wanted some Chinese food (mongolian beef or sesame chicken, cold sesame noodles, egg roll, hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, the works)...thought about it all the way home and was prepared to ask hubby to bring some with him on his way. When hubby called I thought about it....and didn't even mention it. Had a Healthy Choice turkey breast and mashed potatoes meal with 2 slices of wheat bread instead. WOO HOO!!!

I am the queen of going out to eat. We (boyfriend and I) both work full time jobs (I'm in finance he's in network develp) and are both working on our masters so its a given that we do not have time to cook and its just alot more easier for us to eat out and for the last 7 days we resisted the temptation of going out to eat, I quit being lazy and made healthful dinners every night!!

Today I didn't resist anything and it was wonderful. I have been completely on plan for the past two weeks (and 2 out of 3 meals today) because I knew I was going out to dinner to this fantastic ribs place (it's been around since the 1930's). I really enjoyed having a treat because I planned for it and didn't feel bad about having a nice dinner out at all.

Katia - gotta love the feeling of being in control, eh?

Christy - good for you - sticking to the plan!

April - what an accomplishment!

yesterday we went out to the movies with friends and saw TWO (war of the worlds and fantastic 4) and we didn't buy ANY concession items. We brought with us diet rockstar energy drinks and I had one weight watchers candy (55cals) and one girl scout lemon cooler cookie (~40cal?) And I brushed my teeth as soon as we got home so no more snacking there either.

i resisted donuts at work today!! i don't really like donuts anyway but when things are staring me in the face at work I tend to snack anyway so it was good not to give into it.
