Today I resisted...

  • I wanna say burgerking, because for lunch I went and picked up some BK for Mike, and I was hungry but NOTHING looked good. I was shocked. then I took a small bite of his burger, and it made me sick. I did steal 4 <yes I counted> LOL fries, and you know what. They weren't even that good!!
  • Today I resisted going out for lunch and having something gooey/greasy/fattening even though I really wanted to--here I sit eating my Healthy Choice Chicken Fettucine Alfredo, baby carrots, sugar-free pudding, and diet Dr. Pepper.
  • Yesterday I resisted stopping by Johnny Rocket's on my way home for a milkshake.
  • Last night.. I didn't order Chinese food with my roommates. I had already eaten dinner, but in the past that had never stopped me. I didn`t even think about it until this morning, but I'm so glad I resisted because I felt really good this morning!
  • I'm really really really trying to resist mass quantites of cookies out of the vending machine. This one's rough. I'll try to curb it with a slim fast bar!
  • Good idea Diamond! I have (hopefully) conquered my office candy-cookie addiction by bringing in "chocolate" health food bars. Just enough sweetness but way more filling.
  • I still have resisted the office candy jar all month which is huge for me. I did however have both cake and ice cream for my birthday yesterday. And there is a work party today and then another party tomorrow so I will do my best to make good choices.
  • I DIDN'T pass up the fast food last night... I had to go to town after picking up my son and it was so late I just stopped by BK. And had an awful stomach ache at 5:30am this morning to show for it!!! When will I learn??
  • Liz, in my opinion it's totally fine to enjoy a birthday treat! Especially when you've been resisting other temptations leading up to your day. Good luck resisting the rest.

    Good job everyone!

After Monday-Wednesday of not resisting office treats I told myself I'd eat totally clean until this weekend, when I have an event planned. Yesterday (Thursday) I did exactly that, and I totally ignored the Pepperidge Farm chocolate chunk cookies sitting on the cabinet at work. Who wants cookies if they're not soft and chewy, anyway?

  • I did not resist !! I am soooo mad at myself!! PLUS I had TACO BELL FOR LUNCH!! Im just beyond depressed.. This morning was a bagel, and now a tea. Im just upset with all of my choices this week.
  • JustForUs, remember you have a lot going on right now and tomorrow is another day. You may have made some poor choices this week but that's the best part about choices--you can make a great one next time.
  • There were three people giving out free crisps last night. I walked past them twice and didn't waver. The second time did involve a lot of inner commentary as I approached them "I will not waver when they wave the crisps my way. I will not take them. I will not eat the crisps" etc etc. I'm sure they must have wondered what I was muttering, but it worked!
  • WTG YP! Which crisps were they...? I would've probably leaped on them and devoured them all!

But today I have resisited the DANISH PASTRIES! Ha ha! I feel so virtuous! It's not often I have to resist stuff, but today I said, "Must not have cake!" Then it turned out "cake" was Danish Pastries - which aren't my favourite! So I thought, "No, just think about all the clean food you've been having that is building up all that lovely muscle - why wreck it with a pastry that you don't really like that much anyway!?" Hoorah for me! I would usually have scoffed it and thought it was my treat for being good ALL WEEK - yes all whole day of it this week!
  • I DIDN'T resist the homemade sausage biscuit today...dang it. But, the day isn't totally shot...I just have to be careful!
  • I'm not a 20-something anymore , but I love the thread so I thought I'd share...

I haven't had pizza since January 1st. YIKES and HOORAY! I loooooove pizza...the greasier the better. But this has become a HUGE motivator for me. If I can resist pizza -- after years of being able to shovel down a large pepperoni all by myself in 10 minutes flat -- then I can do ANYTHING!!

    Love the topic!
