Today I had to unexpectedly work (9am-4pm with NO lunch break), so I had to stop at the store and grab something to bring for lunch at my desk. I thought about treating myself to a huge deli egg-salad sandwich on a croissant, but settled for a lean cuisine and an apple. The sodium isn't great for me, but it's a much better choice!

I went grocery stopping this morning and not only did I avoid the soda again I also avoided the candy display at the checkout. I have been (mostly) for 2 months now but it's nice that it's getting easier and it still counts .

I resisted finishing my dinner tonight. I was at a restaurant and received a LOT of food. Only ate about half of it. Very rare for me.

not enough - but I didn't eat the whole piece of cake - and last night I only took like 10 chips.

I ate quite a bit of not-so-good stuff over the weekend at my mom's house but I did NOT go near the potato chips. I felt proud that even if I was eating ice cream every day there was one thing I resisted. Plus, ice cream has calcium right?

Ice cream soooo has calcium. That's why I had 1.5 c. yesterday. Hey, it was low-fat!

Jenicra--I like your thinking!! I will admit one time I had "ice cream" it was the Only 8 brand of wicked low cal stuff (yummy though) but then another time I ate some of my boyfriend's vanilla custard covered in peanut butter sauce. Ummm, protein for the PB??

I resisted all the sweets this weekend at the 3 get-togethers we went to ( a family reunion on Sunday, cook-out at my moms Monday after the parade and a cook out/birthday party at Jasons uncles before the fireworks. There was my fave cookies (no bakes) but I resisted! Woot woot!

My boyfriend and I yesterday:
BF: I'm going to make myself some pasta with mushroom sauce, would you like any?
Sushi Penguin: No, I'm good.
BF: Are you SURE?
Sushi Penguin: Yepps
BF: Is it going to be like last time, when you said you didn't want me to make you any, but then had some of mine?
Sushi Penguin: Nope, sweet, no pasta for me.

So he cooked himself a bowl of pasta with the delicious mushroom sauce and I didn't even have one noodle of it. And that "last time" was about 3 weeks ago.

Today I haven't had coffee yet (and it's 4:30 pm), mainly because I don't have any money on me. I want one BAD though!

Oh, and I haven't had any Starbuck's Mint Chip Frappucinos since discovering how baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad this stuff is - so over 2 weeks.

Today.. I went to the gym to renew my membership for the rest of the summer but the office was closed so I couldn`t get in. Instead of being discouraged and just coming home which would have been the easy thing to do.... I came home and jogged to the university's football stadium and around that for a little over an hour.

The open bag of M&M's is still sitting on the counter. We went to Subway for supper tonight and dh offered to get me cookies. He wanted them but hates to snack alone. I was strong, so we neither one had them. I think he has decided I've dieted enough. NOT !!!

Got to keep strong....
