  • Today I did NOT resist some bread. I went to Au Bon Pain to grab a salad for lunch, and I said to myself "if I eat half the salad, and use half the salad dressing, then the calorie count will be about right for a lunch." What I forgot is that they give you a piece of a baguette when you buy a salad. I only ate half the salad, and used less than half the salad dressing . . . but I ate the whole roll. Only to find out that the roll alone was MORE calories than the salad + dressing together!! Oops. I can't resist fresh bread.
  • Wow that is amazing to completely give up pizza! I gave up fast food burgers years ago but I never loved them to begin with...

    Last night I went out with the new guy and I am SO proud of me for a few reasons: 1) When he called at 5:15 to make plans for 7:00, instead of scrapping workout plans I went for an early run (usually I wait until 7 b/c of the heat), did half of my weight workout, and still managed to shower and smell nice before he picked me up; 2) we went to a dive club meeting at a bar and I stuck with water and did not touch the snack mix; 3) we went to dinner w/ a group of people after. Some friends in the club had caught a ton of fish that day and invited us all to share. I didn't touch the breadsticks or chips on the table before the meal, stuck with water again, and then just ate the delicious fish in reasonable amounts; 4)When I got home instead of mindless munching too much like I've been doing lately I thought about how I hadn't gotten in the usual amounts of fruit/veggies so I put down the chips (after eating a few, to be truthful – they entered the house via roommate) had a peach and went to bed.
  • Good job Megan! It is so easy to skip a workout, especially when you have something more exciting to do afterwards!


    Last night I resisted more temptation from my roommates... No Sonic for me!! I made myself a veggie burger instead and they even commented on how good it smelled!
  • I am currently resisting eating the whole bag of Dolly Mixtures that are in my drawer...

    I've had about 10, but I'm not going to have any more because they're JUNK! I bought them for a sugar boost between kickboxing classes tomorrow, but I opened them today!
  • Last night I resisted taking home Zaxby's (chicken) or Bono's (barbecue) for dinner, and today I resisted fast food for lunch--woo hoo!!
  • Last night, I did NOT resist using the peaches we had (they were about to go bad) to make a peach cobbler. I did resist eating the whole thing in one sitting though.

    And right now, I'm trying to resist going to buy some food, because I am way hungry today for some reason.
