hi there! i might have a ps2 lined up but still not for a while. unfortunately my friend lost her 15yr old son this week. the dr. diagnosed the flu and it was appendicitis. it has been an awful week. anyways, she said she wanted to give me something to remember him by and she knows i was looking for a ps2 so she said she wanted to give me his because it was one of his favorite things.
michelle - i bet you are dropping lbs. like crazy. i am patiently waiting to get mine. so did you decide a metal pad would be better??? and for what reasons??? or are you getting to be such an expert you need to upgrade. you'll be doing it professionally by the time i even start.
alicat - i heard about the slimmer ones. so it's $50 for less plastic??? so does that mean the originals are overpriced??? just another way to people to buy again. it sounds just like cellphones, always upgrading and costing more money for nothing but to look cool.
*blink blink* I hope she plans on filing a malpractice suit, or at least looking into it. I mean, I'm no dr, but isn't it a bit hard to misdiagnose appendicitis?
A metal pad is better for the sake that it lasts longer but honestly, I've had my pad for over a year and it still works fine. It's really a matter of how much you are willing to pay and if you have the storage space or not.
Kathy, my prayers are with you and your friend I'm here if you need to talk. I decided to get a metal pad because I want to be able to wear my shoes while doing it, I have a hard time keeping my balance without wearing shoes. What is your friends sons name so I may light a candle for him. Thinking of you!
Hey all--I've been seriously thinking about DDR. I love to dance and hate to work out so this is probably the ONLY way for me to be active. I mean, I really have to do something--I sit at work all day, sit in school the rest of the day, sit on the subway for about 3 hrs a day (round trip)....weekends I sleep late and catch up with my cleaning, reading and studying. What kinds of things do you all do to get some cardio during the week (besides DDR) with a hectic schedule?
thanks so much for the candle michelle! people like you make the world a better place!! i am doing ok. we buried him today so we are thru the worst i think. now we deal with every day things without him. my friend has an especially hard time in the mornings when she would normally get him up and ready for school. i try to call at that time to give her someone to talk to.
erica - do you have a ps2 yet??? they are no where to be found right now. i am definitely getting ddr but i have to wait till after the holidays to get one because of availability. it does sound like fun. michelle just got hers and is having fun for me till i get mine.
Did anybody here have to buy an adapter to use with their pad? I am reading over some DDR stuff, and there is info about one player and two player adapters for the pads. These adapters are bought separately?
kathy- I do have the PS2--got it for my b/f for his b-day in october-- If anyone's looking for it, they JUST got it in stock at the site that i shop at for tech stuff (it's called newegg).
It's safe to say that im going to get it next month...til then, keep makin me jealous--gotta go study for my government final EEK

erica - good luck with that final!!
michelle - i will be in dance mode when i come back. i will hopefully get hooked up right away.
michelle - it is not very warm here this weekend, but it is suppose to get better tomorrow. then i can go to the pool to work on a winter tan.
