Thanks!! I should clarify though that I had this bag around from the last pick-up that never came. Hub was kind enough to go drop it at the curb for me. But still..it's junk gone!! woohoo!!

Heather – good for you! I’ve done that too: no more big T-shirts at the gym for me – I went and bought T-shirts that actually fit me. And yes, I do have fat on my stomach and on my back – but I still look much better than I did in those huge shirts!

I’ve just delivered 4 plastic bags with books and VHS tapes to the Goodwill. Hopefully somebody will find happiness in my poor homeless books!

Yesterday we installed new chrome faucets into our bathrooms and the kids bathroom. The ones the builder installed were JUNK!! Cheap o' pieces of crap-they started to corrode! Then we decided to clean OUT the kids bathroom and so she went through a bazillion hair things, "girly" products like make-up, shower gels, etc..and we threw them out! Rest of stuff we'll donate. Today is my master bathrooms turn. Let's see what I can get rid of...OUT!! hehehe

Got rid of a ton of old clothes, his and mine, this weekend to make room for some new clothes that we'll probably get this weekend. Yay.
Also, went through the bills and paperwork - again - and brought that to a managable level. And I even went through all my medical billing so I can get reimbursed from my medical expense account. Talk about a pain in the butt! And now it's done.

Way to go Lizzi. I did the same a couple of weeks ago. I acutally took a day off work to sort through all the paper on the desk and make phone calls, etc. I now have cheaper house insurance because of that mini-purge/clean/deal.

Teufelchen - that's awesome! It really pays to look into stuff like that. It's hard to do when there's so much clutter on top of it, but once you get organized you can actually start to read that stuff! My husband is constantly rearranging things to get us better aprs and transfer balances of credit card debts. He saves us so much money - it really is amazing what you can get if you ask for it. All he does is call the number on the card and tell them he wants a better interest rate - or if we get an offer from another company he will call up our current company and ask them if they can meet or beat that offer and usually they can.

Now, if only I can get the old clothes out of our garage and into a good will or dumpster in some cases. *L* It's not really gone, just re-located, but it's a start.
