You are so right about this. The first few times I went to the gym or exercised outside I felt the same way. Then someone (a skinny gymrat) pointed out to me that most people are so concerned about the way THEY look that they aren't at all worried about how I look. Since then I don't care.

I do still think about it from time to time but I just push that thought back and carry on.

Good job with C25K. It's such a great program. I got the podcasts with the music when I was doing it.

skinnygurl I love your attitude! One thing I love about exercising is the confidence boost! I know if I stick to this and am accountable this month that I will feel that change by May 31st! I can't wait! Let's keep with it and continue on!

well, i updated my chart but all I did to day was the Belly section of my Pilates video as that was about the only section of my body that doesn't ache! I overestimated my lunge ability yesterday and am feeling that burn in my hamstrings. So I figured I would give my self a break as my next TM exercise is a Incline Interval and not do the Butt & Thigh part of the Pilates video either. But this is good, cuz this means my body is rebuilding the muscles! Can't wait to do TM & Arms tomorrow!

6--Bike to work and back, about 50 min; 45-min stabiity ball class; 5K run with a trainer, 32:30

So, hilarious story...

I bike to work this morning, no biggie. I planned to go to a stability ball class and then bike home. So I'm walking back to work (it's about 100 feet from the mall where the gym is to the door of my office building) and I see the personal trainer who I had for my complimentary sessions (for getting people to sign up). He says, "I'm going for a run. Wanna come?!?" I say, "How long?" 5K. "Sure!" I was mostly bluffing. We walk to my building, and I realize, "You're totally going to kick my butt, aren't you?!?" But I drop my stuff at work, and off we go. It was brutal! He's so upbeat, even when I got tired and cranky, he was like, "Come on, just 200 metres to go!" But he finally figured out the secret--tire me out until I can't even talk, and I stop complaining.

In the end, our time was 32:30 for 5K, surpassing my previous best by two and a half minutes. But I know we were going much more slowly then he would have without me dragging him back. That's okay--he said he likes running with company, and he was very nice about saying I really didn't slow him down that much.

Moral of the story: when you run into a personal trainer, run the other way!!

(EZ: I'm using this time as my 5K, s I'm going to cross-post this there. That way more people can find hilarity in my pain and stupidity. )

Well Tuesday I had a day off, because I was sore from jogging the day before and I didn't want to hurt myself. Yesterday I didn't do an actual workout per se, but I was cleaning my house and that made me sweat. Does that count?

ETA: This morning I did a 15min workout with the My Fitness Coach, and 20min on my stationary bike. I got 5.2 miles! Go me! lol
