Tammy~ Thanks for the compliments! You are getting soooo close to 100lbs lost! WOW! Glad the ankle is feeling a little better.

Michelle~ There is another site that I record my eating/exercise on (I'm not allowed to post the link or name, but I bet you've heard of it ), and I also keep a notebook where I write down my goals, rewards, and things that I have learned...it's really helped me alot!

I just now responded to it, Michelle! I usually get a pop-up when I get a PM, but I never got one, so I didn't even know you had sent me one!

Good afternoon, walkers!

I got home this afternoon to find that the mailman had delivered my new Leslie Sansone workouts (they were offering members a special $8.95 plus FREE shipping on any videos in stock!!!)!!!!!

I tried out 2 of the 4: Booster Mile (I used 3 pound weights) and Morning Mile plus abs.

I still need to try: Short Cuts for abs and 10 minute ab-buster (Can you tell what part of the body I want to target? LOL)

We had a great time camping (except for the terrible thunderstorm the first night). I did some walking on the nature trails. Hubby took the GPS so I could calculate the mileage. I ate pretty well and drank LOTS of water. Now it's back to reality and regular workouts. I'll weigh-in tomorrow, since I do that first thing in the morning.

Hope all of you have had a wonderful 4th of July! We are SOOO fortunate to live where we do!

Michele~ Welcome back! Enjoy your NEW videos!

Michelle~ Good for you getting a walk in today! I see you set a goal for July....that's great! You can do it!

Morning Workout~ 3 Mile Super Fat Burning Walk w/3lb weights

Evening Workout~ Walk/Kick

Well, I'm getting sick. My husband has had a cough for about a week now, and today I have one, and my chest is hurting sooo bad. I hope that I feel better in the morning, because I would just hate to have to miss some of my workouts...I'm totally addicted to them! I wasn't going to do my workout tonight, but I went ahead and did it because I ate too much for dinner. *sigh* Anyways, hope you alll had a VERY happy 4th of July! Talk to you all tomorrow!

Michele . . . So glad you have a fun time camping with your family! You got a lot of exercise in, great job! You really got a good deal from Leslie's club, because they didn't ever have that offer when I was there, and my account just cancelled on June 26.

Cassie . . . I sure hope you're not getting your DH's sickness! It is very hard to exercise when your chest hurts and you have a bad cough. You're doing so good with your workouts so missing one or two days, or just cutting down some, will still be okay for you to do.

Tammy . . . Great job on your exercise, and it sure sounds like your ankle is doing better and you're back on track again!

We didn't do much of anything today for the fourth. My DD left on Saturday and won't be home until Thursday evening. She went to the beach with a friend, and I told her atleast the weather there is so much cooler!

Good morning, Did the first two miles of 3 mile Express this morning. Foot is still tender though .

Michele, it sounds like a fun camping trip, (except for the thunderstorm). We have a GPS but I've never gotten to the point where I feel like I really know how to use it for more than downloading geocaching coordinates and displaying those. I need to sit down with the instruction book and learn how to use it to calculate mileage. I know it does it, but I don't know how to get it to that screen.

Cassie, I hope you're not getting sick. to you.

Hi Michelle, Good for you for getting to the park! We didn't do a lot for the fourth either. DH had to work, so the kids and I went shopping. DS leaves for camp Thursday morning, so we had to go get a few things for him. After DH got home from work, we went to a fireworks display in our little town. It was great and the rain held off until we got into the car and headed home, so that worked out perfectly.

Have a great day everyone!

I've done the Booster Mile twice today-once with the ab belt and once with the stretchie. I LOVE it!!! I also did a bunch of leg work from another site. Hoping for another mile or 2 in a little bit.....

Hi everyone, mind if I join you. I've been doing the WATP DVDs since 1/12/06. I've racked up 432 miles. Most from WATP but some from hiking. I love Leslie's DVDs. In March I "graduated" from the 2 mile walk to the 5 mile DVD. I've done the whole 5 miles just a couple times, but what I love about that DVD is that you can choose the 5 miles, or 1 of 3 different 3 mile combos (using different boosters). I like the stretchies the best because they work my upper back and I've had problems in that area before. I just recently bought the Yoga Walk which I really like and the 1 mile Jog. I watched it but am a little hesitant about doing it. Maybe I'll give it a go this week. Besides walking, I've been rollerblading and swimming for a change of pace. But without Leslie, I'd never be in decent shape and never would have lost 17 pounds.

Cassie, I kept my 1 and 2 mile slower walks for when I'm sick. I figure if i don't raise my heart rate much, then I should be able to maintain by doing an easier walk. Just my thoughts on being sick and exercise. Definitely don't exert too much.

I'll chat with you all tomorrow. I do 3 miles before work and tomorrow is a work day. So I'll be walking with Leslie. Oh, one more thing, you all mentioned the music. One thing I've noticed on the 5 miler, it's difficult to hear the music. My only bad thought about it.

Marie~ A big to you! Glad you're joining in on this thread with us. And great idea about doing the 1 and 2 mile walks while I'm sicks! Thanks! I can't wait until I get the chance to order the 5 mile walk that you're talking about...as soon as I get my hands on some money, I am soooo getting it!

Tammy~ Sorry the foot is still causing you some trouble! I'm sure it will be healed in no time though!

Well...I AM sick. It sucks, but hopefully it won't last long. I went ahead and did my workouts today, but I took it a little easier then normal. Might have to take it even easier tomorrow...oh well!

Morning Workout~ Walk and Kick

Evening Workout~ Strength & Sculpt section of The Biggest Loser

On a side note: The Biggest Loser DVD is really making a difference! Even though they are still fat, I can feel and see the muscle when I flex! It's amazing! I started with 3lb weights, then went to 5, and now I'm at 8lbs. Just thought I would let you all know, as I was quite proud to see MUSCLE! My hubby was even impressed!

Well, I didn't do any more yesterday. I just got busy with life. Today I have an all-day class in another town 40 minutes away. So, I got myself out of bed and did the Morning Mile (without the abs work). It's all I have time for this morning, but I WILL do more this evening!

Have a great day!

Cassie, thanks for the warm welcome and I hope you start feeling better. I read somewhere aout head colds it's okay to exercise and chest colds you should be careful. And bacterial infections no exercise. I think that had something to do with the infection spreading to the heart. It's been a while since I read that but I think I might have gotten it right. Colds are definitely why I kept my slower, beginner walks.

Michele, yucky on the class. I hate sitting all day. Have fun exercising this evening. I'll be out with my DH, DS, DGS and DS's GF since it's DS's 21st birthday. Hard to believe I'm that old.

I WATP 3 miles this morning. I've found I'm a lot more patient and empathetic at work if I exercise before work. It's made a big difference in my stress levels.

Have a great evening.
