Tammy---been there, done that, paid alot. I remember how much we had to pay for insurance when David started driving. I didn't know about the good grades or we would have gotten a deal, too. It did help for him to take driving classes. You might look into that, also.

IT is sooooooo hot here! It was 97 degrees yesterday. I don't know what the heat index was---probably over 100!

Hi gang! I am so glad that school is out! Time to relax. Yea, right!! I still need to go back and finish my room tomorrow. I never get finished on the work day. I was there from 7-3:30 today. I spent most of the time going through my books and trying to organize them. We'll be teaching some different things in Science next year, so I wanted to go through the books to see if I had any to cover the new stuff. Luckily, I have some books that will work! I'll be bringing those home tomorrow for my summer reading. I WANT TO READ ADULT BOOKS!!! lol

I must have really gotten rid of bunches of stuff. I still have shelf space and locker space left even after I have packed up most of everything. I'm shocking myself. It will make retirement so much easier since I won't have so much to go through then. I saw what one of the retiring teachers had in her room today, and I think she'll be there until the end of the summer going through things.

Tomorrow we meet with a man about Tim's Eagle project. Need to get things finalized on what he is actually doing (martin houses, bat houses, and duck houses are the latest). We were hoping to get it all approved and mostly finished this summer, but it's hard to say since he's involved in so much. We'll do our best though!

Tina, we have been freezing here! Not actually 32 degrees, but I've been wearing jeans, sweaters, and heavy socks! The sun came out just about 20 minutes ago for just a little bit. That's the first it's been out since sometime Sunday afternoon.

It's pretty bad when our furnace is running and we're wearing heavy clothes on the last day of school, June 3.

Hope to be able to get in here more often now that school is out. I think I'm going to sit down and make out some goals for June (a few days late). We leave for Georgia on the 20th, so I'd like to get some workouts in and a couple pounds off before then.

Sorry I've been so bad about writing lately. Life has been hectic here too. I don't remember if I told you but I went to Alabama for my nephew's graduation. That was fun. It is amazing what ALL you remember when you are a kid and how somethings don't change. I think I could live there again. It was great seeing the boys and my sister in law. Dinner was a little akward since it was with my brother and his fiancee, sister in law and her fiance, both boys and their dates. It a good thing I'm a clown and kept the conversation flowing.

Mom is FINALLY doing a better. THANKS GOD!!! She is on 4000mg of augmentin, steriods and something else for her stomach. The dr. said it was a horrible infection and is just taking a lot to get rid of. She has postponed her hip surgery until July 16. I hope she is strong enough by then. She is still extremely weak. She told me the other day that she thought it was her time to go. It broke my heart.

I have one more day with kids, a staff development day and then a work day on Saturday. I know we will get to get out early. I plan on going to graduation because some of my dearest students are seniors. So I have to go to it.

Well, since I've already talked your ears off, I'll let you go. I might not write until the weekend but you never know. I promise once next week comes I'll be back on a roll.

Susan-- I'm so glad your mom is better. That's some strong medicine she is taking. I'm glad you had fun at the graduation.
I actually went to a WW meeting this Monday morning. I just couldn't wait any later in the week. I just had to go to a meeting. The meeting subject wasn't anything thrilling but I enjoyed getting back to a meeting.

Guess what--------my birthday is next Monday!!!!! I'm really excited to have a day to do whatever I want. I'm thinking about going out to breakfast and then getting a manicure. My husband and son are taking me out for seafood for supper. We had seafood last year and it sounded good again. My sister is taking me out to eat tomorrow. I think we'll go get some Chinese food.

Happy Birthday Tina!!! Just 3 days before mine. Hope you have a SUPER Birthday! Haven't posted much lately been busy with graduations, work, mom and now my Sis has some major health problems. But with God's help we will make it through all right. He's never let me down yet. Hope everyone else is doing great! I'm back on my old job at work now so I should start losing again. Saturday greetings
It's beautiful day here. We had two good rains and the yard and flowers are very happy now. My husband is getting ready to get out and mow. There are no cracks in the ground for now.

I'm really cutting way back today. I haven't had many pts at all. I'm getting ready for Monday (birthday). I think I'll go to that WW meeting again. This time, I'm not going to weigh, just pay my money. I say that because going out for a super breakfast sounds good. I might go to IHOP for a half order of pancakes.
(Did you know that they give you sugar free syrup if you ask for it!)
My husband keeps asking me what to get for my birthday. I can't think of a thing!!!!! That's crazy.

Well, I am officially done with school. That doesn't mean I won't go up to work and still have some stuff to do, but it does mean I DON'T have to go in. I went to graduation this morning after work and then came home cleaned the house, then proceeded to take a 2 hour nap and still could have slept long if the phone had not rung. Pat worked out in the yard all day long.

Tina, I'm right there with you on cutting back. I need to get real serious again!!!! It's just been so crazy and now I can focus on my food.

Tina and Sis, Have a GREAT birth week. I believe in celebrating all week long. Funny that you mention your husband, Pat said he already has my present and I will love it. He wants me to guess and I have NO CLUE!!!! Glad he has an idea for me, because I don't even know what I want either.

I just got home from a graduation party for the girl across the road. Her twin sisters are in Tim's class, and they're all in band together. Lots of band parents there, so it was a lot of fun. There are lots of people still there, but I was starting to get bitten by bugs and decided to come home. Tim is still there hanging out with all the kids.

Spent a lot of time working on Eagle Scout stuff today. Getting closer to getting the paperwork completed. Tomorrow we are going to a lumber yard to get prices for the wood that is needed.

Monday is my day to get serious! I have not journaled in quite a while. I've been drinking water and getting workouts in, but I know that the journaling is a big key to the weight loss.

Tammy, it sounds like it was a great party. And, you are well on your way with the project.

Susan, what is your birth date? I have it written down somewhere but can't find it.
I wish you didn't have to go back to school at all.

I am SO with you guys on the cutting back and eating right. I am now done with all the grad. stuff for my dd and her friends and now I can start thinking about myself and how I am eating again.

Hope everyone had a great Sunday! I want ya'll to know that I not only took a 2 hour nap yesterday, laid down on the couch at 9pm fell asleep then went to bed and slept until 8 this morning. Then took another 2 hour nap today. Can you say EXHAUSTED!!!! Gosh, I can't believe how much I am sleeping.

Today my food was better but all I could think about was eating!!! I go to the knee dr. tomorrow. So I plan to start working out Tuesday, possibly tomorrow afternoon.

Not yet Susan. I usually like to go to the Mongolian Barbeque. Ever heard of it? I LOVE it. You make your own stir fry and use what ever kind of things you like. Tons of veggies and meats available. So though I splurge its more healthy. Have a great day...Sis
