  • I live in Walker.Welcome to the site
  • Thanks! I have everything ready to start first thing in the morning! Support is highly needed!

Quote: The first four days are rough, but you can get through. I really didn't feel too bad and didn't have a headache. You just have to stick it out for the first week, and it's much easier after that.
  • Inspiring!! I hope to have the same results!

Quote: Hey everyone! Im from BR also. Great to meet others on here from our area. We should do an IP meetup one day or something. This is my 4th week on IP and I've lost 14 lbs.
  • I think all of us from MS (me..ha) and from La need to get together somewhere and meet!
  • hey! I'm in BR too! on my second week of IP. Let's do start a meet up! I weigh-in at Womans and asked them if they had a support group but they said no.

  • Woohoo BR! I'm original from lafayette, but am currently in BR for college. Just started, I'm on day 3, but other than having to take a nap in the afternoons from being so tired, it's not too bad so far!

    I'd love to!
  • Hey all!I started IP three and a half weeks ago, and I live in Louisiana, too. I'm about 3 hours north of Baton Rouge, but I have to travel there usually once a month on business. At my last WI I had lost 14.4 pounds... I am loving the ease of this program, and I feel great!
  • Im on day 2 and struggling with the food packets. The shakes are good but so far ive had the tomato and basil soup and the potato packet which i lost my lunch on both of those packets. I know i'll get to select different packets next time but right now i have one of each. Please help if you have any ideas to keep the food down!

So sorry jaymeskelt I am in Baton Rouge also, but my coach has me choosing individual packets the first few weeks, so that I won't end up purchasing a box of something I won't like. Personally, I like the potato. How about making it a little thinner than the directions (but not as thick as the soup directions) and mixing up some well seasoned vegetables with it? Mushrooms and finely chopped brocolli come to mind.

As far as the tomato basil soup, I haven't tried it. I have read here that others dislike it also, but someone posted a recipe on how to make it as a flat bread. This sounded like a nice option. Maybe sprinkle some oregano and italian spices in it first, and make yourself a veggie sandwich out of it?

Also, it wouldn't hurt to call and see if your coach allows returns? You might be surprised!

    Hang in there!
  • Thanks for the suggestions. It's been a hard two days! I have a terrible cold too so nothing taste good (may be a good thing). They wouldn't let me choose my own they just gave me different selections and none are the same. I was starved so my husband made me a protein shake of his powder he gets from sams. The nutritional values were close to the IP. That's what's been keeping me going and I can keep those down.
