I love to have a nice hot tea in the evening (when I used to do all my snacking). Pickles! The salty crunch curbs my cravings, although I have not experienced any real temptations (2nd week OP).

I really have nothing to add to what's already been said...I did vacuum my little house for an hour once...lol

My new mantra: I WILL be able to eat this someday, just not today. Simply having the knowledge that not one single thing will be off limits for the rest of your life is a great incentive.

Now this is going to sound depressing, but I pull up my blouse and look at my profile in the mirror. Oh my!

My cravings are mild and not having much of an appetite really helps me. But the bottom line for me is that cheating is just not an option for me. I know if I slip, it will be that much harder to get back on. Watching the scale go down is all the pleasure I need.

coffee works for me

Coffee, water, tea. I hate gum, never chew the stuff. I don't eat anything between meals. I probably drink 32 oz of water with my meals, even if it's a RTD shake for breakfast. I space it out, 1 sip of RTD, lots of water, another sip of RTD, lots of water. Very full by the time I finish it. Water, water, water, coffee, water... "oh, it's lunch time" and so on... I have a mindset that cheating is not an option. It works for me.

Most of you know by now that I have slipped, I have cheated on more than an occasion regrettably, and I came back to being 100% OP.

What keeps me from not eating what I am not supposed to is the fact of remembering how awfull it feels after a cheat, IT IS REALLY NOT WORTH IT!

Wuv helped me tremendously staying on track whether through private messages or through what she writes on here, she is a true inspirational person. Not only her, but many people in here gave me the support and made me believe I really can do it.

Now that I lost a couple of weeks gaining some weight and losing it back, I am back on track because all the support I got, because of the fact of seeing real people being able to do it going through the same troubles that I am.

I like this mantra. I may have to use this as well. Definitely changes ones outlook.

A strong commitment to my self and my future health is the biggest factor keeping me on plan. When I do have a strong craving, coffee or Dentene Fire gum (no aspertame) seem to do the trick!

I am extremely nervous about handing out the candy for trick or treat on Monday but I plan to have my own snack right beside me the whole time along with some hot coffee to keep me warm and energized.

Me too! This will be my first Halloween ever without eating any candy. I gained a good bit of my weight eating Halloween candy when I was pregnant and my kitchen was torn up. Candy is a big trigger for me. I'm going to buy candy I don't like (something without chocolate) but I'm going to have to really work to not sample from my daughter's trick or treat bag.

There are a few things that help keep me from cheating:
1. LOTS of water, some days I feel like I'm going to float away but it helps!
2. My family supporting me... I have 7 other family members on IP so it helps to know that I can call them up and they understand.
3. This forum... I feel so inspired every day from seeing how everyone is doing.
4. My mantra "It's not forever... nothing tastes as good as skinny will feel."

Online "window" shopping! I am not actually buying anything just looking at clothes that I WILL be able to wear again. Just knowing I will be able to wear them is enough for me!

Miss Winter, like Pauley I was going to suggest buying candy to hand out that you don't like, and for me it's anything "cinnamon-y" like Red Hots or Big Red gum.
