Fri- Went to gym and did 40 mins cardio, sat walked to town and back- 6 miles, Sun- did salsa class and walked back from gym (2 miles), Mon- walked into town and back and did an hour cardio, tue walked to a diff gym and back (4 miles but it is all uphill on the way there!) did 30 mins cardio and 10 mins swim. Today- achey!

10k training starts here. I didn't run yesterday after Race for Life, and considered having another rest day today after my exertions. Particularly as I was really tired this morning and only dragged myself out of bed half an hour later than normal. But when I got to the gym I really fancied a stint on the treadmill (!!! ), so set it for a relatively gentle jog (the same pace that I would have considered a killer running pace a couple of months ago, by the way), and ended up doing 6k before running out of time.

It's true. I enjoy running

I'vew been busy today, leg weights this morning (I love doing them!) and then a swim. I swim 32 laps in 30 minutes now, compared to 12 at the beginning of the year. At lunch the gym instructor at work taught me a heap of new fit ball exercises, the are soooooooo fun!!! I love fit ball, it feels too fun to be good for you!!!

Ran 1 mile to warm up. Then 15 minutes on the rower, 15 minutes walking up hard hills on the treadmill (level 20! out of 20!), a bit of stuff on the fit ball and then a 30 minute swim. This afternoon I'll probably walk a couple of miles too. Not too much running today. I really need new trainers as the ones I have have started rubbing my toes. Maybe that's my job to do on the way to the pub this afternoon?

May definitely need new trainers. I appear to have left the old ones at the gym. Will have to pop in on the way past to see if they're still there

Didn't do anything since Wednesday as I was feeling a bit low and just wanted to curl up in bed with a good book. However, I managed a 55 minute walk today and the weather is so lovely I can't help but feel better.

I went to the gym today and did 60 minutes cardio. I hate going out in summer too, but I did today, wearing a sleeveless top for the first time in public in years!!!

I now have two pairs of trainers. The new ones and the old ones that I recovered from the gym changing room. I will see if the new ones don't rub my toes as much.

It was boiling this afternoon so my walk only lasted 30 minutes today. I also lifted weights for about 20 minutes.

I had a very slow hour walk with lots of sitting down so probably only 30 mins actual walking. The heat!
