I did walk about a mile yesterday, not very fast but a walk none the less, i will add your totals and see how far we have walked as a group!!!! Maybe we should all pick a destination and see how long it takes to walk there :-)

Howdy all,

Walked 2 miles this a.m. Usually do 3.5 but it was so muggy and my shoes didn't fit right and I felt like whining...

Yesterday at Seaworld was great fun and we must have walked at least 5 miles. Count it if you like.

Food still not in-line, but getting better.

I've "walked" about 6 miles this week (using a walking video, 2 miles per day). Thought I'd chime in. I also do other video workouts; can I count those? I figured I'd count them as 2-3 miles depending on how long they run.

okay here are the total miles so far!!!

Lauren H 6 miles
Dora140 21.5 miles
exercisebimbo (me) 9 miles
Joody0756 10.25 miles
Kim in NJ 21 miles
WWQueen 4.5 miles

You guys can count whatever you want for miles, as we are all not walkers, the only thing i ask is for you to convert them. I think the leader from my meeting said, i think hopefully i am remembering correctly, that every 20 minutes could be counted as a mile. Kim and WW queen, we havent heard from you recently, how are you doing??? My total includes 3 i already walked today, but have a plan to walk 4 more tonight with the kids, it feels so good to be able to breath again!!!!

Hey Marion... I'm too busy walking to post a new reply each day - I am just updating my weekly post

Actually I am trying to limit my PC use to 1 hr per day since I use one at work too.... I wore my pedometer to work the other day out of curiosity... my husband and brother-in-law also tried same experiment. Husband walked 13 miles while working, BIL 15 miles..... ME???? as a systems analyst you can guess... .87 miles - and that includes walking to and from my car in the lot.

My husband looked at the pedometer and asked me if I had turned it off by accident! But sadly I did not - and worse yet is that our ladies room was closed on the second floor for repair so I had to trek down to the first floor and the third floor 3 times in that same .87 miles.. SO PATHETIC!!!

Bye - Kim

Marion - thanks for keeping the tally for us.

Walked and jogged at total of 4.25 miles early this afternoon. Felt pretty good, that's my longest distance at one time so far.

Howdy all!
So, are we starting with a new month for totals?

For 06/01/01 3.50
06/02/01 nada
06/03/01 6
06/04/01 3.25

Seems like Kim in Yankeeland is giving me some competition!

Trying to Dora ... but not this weekend I keep getting bouts of asthma - so I'm not walking until I stop wheezing. But keep it up because I like having someone to post with... WOW 6 miles!!! That's terrific. I just signed up for a 5 mile walk with my sister for fourth of July... can't wait!

Boy am I glad to be posting here. Sure wish my food journal looked this good.

Kim, that 6 was on an elliptical trainer. So, I wasn't totally outside sweating on the hot pavement or collecting blisters. But I was totally drenched inside!

Keep on walking!

Well I was finally able to get out there tonight with no wheezing.. I only walked 1.65 miles - but it felt great and I hope to get back in th swing of things.... Anyone else still walking for activity points?

Kim

3/2001 WW 239/222/140

it was actually 2.2 miles last night - I thought it was more so I measured with my car tonight.... guess I need to check my pedometer to see if it's working OK. (Kim)
