I was in Tescos yesterday and noticed that their own brand states how many weight Watchers points it contains!

I might write to them and say 'what about us Slimming world lot???'

Hi everyone

I have been thinking of joining for quite a while now and have finally got the courage to do it I joined slimming world and lost 6lbs in my first week, however the second week wasnt so good dont know what happened as I can honestly say that its the easiest diet I have ever been on, well anyway its back on track next week I have always had a weight problem about 20 years or so, but am getting married in march 2006 and have decided that its now or never!

you all sound like a great bunch of people, if anyone else is on slimming world and can give me some tips I would be grateful.

Thanks

Brenda

Hi Brenda and welcome!!!

Congratulations on the impending wedding!

I've been on the Slimming world diet 5 weeks today and can honsetly say I don't even feel like I'm on a diet. I think I've lost about a stone (I have crap scales which regularly change their mind!) and my clothes are gettng looser!
I don't think I ate this much BD (before diet!)

I have a long way to go and am off to the states in 12 days (not that i'm counting) so am dreading feasting on their yummy food

I've bought loads of the Slimming world cookbooks, food directories and magazines which really do help and give you loads of ideas!

Oh and my tip of the day
Options drinks with some of your milk allowance when you get a sugar craving! YUM!!

Thanks for the welcome Heavenbug

Are options drinking chocolate a free food or does it have sins? The reason why I wasnt fully on program last week is because I had the dreaded sugar craving and just succumbed to it, thanks for the tip

Brenda
Most of them are 2 sins. I had a raging sugar craving (TOTM) last week and they really helped. The oranage one is lovely and I have a turkish delight one all ready to try!

I've also stocked up loads of 'fun size' chocolates which are great when you need a sugar hit.
Milki way is 3.5 sins
Mars is 4.5 sins
Aero is 3 sins, and an aero snack size is 6.5 sins.

Have you got a Slimming World food Directory ~ it's a good investment! Tells you all the sin values.

Well all my good intentions went to waste. I have still not got back on the wagon after going on holiday. I am back to the SW meetings tomorrow though and I am sure that my huge gain being made official will be a huge kick up the backside - lol. Fingers crossed for me.

Turkish delight was nice but the Orange one is in the lead at the moment!

Have the toffee and mint ones to try next! Watch this space!

See - theres a good reason to stay at SW
Do you live in Manchester? Like your friend that recently joined?
If you do - come along to my class You have proven that SW works for you - losing over 3 stone proved that!! It may be that you just need a change or "fresh start"?
It's in stretford - monday (good night to be weighed me thinks - start of week) 7pm.

Course ignore this if you live in Edingburgh
