Flower - I've followed a diet group on a site called health unlocked in the past, called Weight Loss NHS - although it's NHS, there are many on there not from the UK.
You're meant to follow the NHS 12 week plan, which gives you something new to focus on each week, but again, not everyone does. They do weekly weigh-ins, challenges, and just general tips too:

Thanks Lisa! I ear ya. It's lik I have all the logical answers. But the carb devil has a grip on me. Maybe the Candida has proliferated again. My logical mind has all the great answers. But that lower mind is craving. Jus had fish and baby power greens. And still chips and chocolate. I will figure out how to shift this pattern. Just will take so,e ingenuity.

Hi everyone. So in my last post this weekend I said I had plans in the afternoon and was wondering if the friend that made these plans would cancel or just ‘forget’. I arrived 5 mins before the scheduled time, and texted her, and she replied she was running late. Guess what. She arrived 2 hours later. She did apologize- she had known she was going to be late and thought she had texted me but realized she hadn’t.

Anyway the weather was nice and I ran into other people I know, and by the time she arrived it was nearly time for me to head out, but at least she apologized. But I swear this is the kind of thing that happens often to me with various people and that’s what irks me and makes me wonder if I stress too much or if I am just hanging out with the wrong kind of people.

Anyway today was an ok day and hope the rest of the week is good. I bet the work week will seem extra long sonce last week I had the holiday off.

Hope everyone is well

Panda, i am so sorry your friend arrived 2 hours late. idk if my words will help, of make matters worse for you. I could not tolerate making plans with someone who disrespects my time that way. Of course I have had habitually VERY late friends. I honestly feel there's a line it can cross where it does become about disrespect when they did not let me know in advance about the schedule change. Of course there are exceptions. Could not use the phone during an important meeting. Babysitter didn't show up and the phone was out of service because a bever gnawed the cord. Or a drive by thief snatched her bag and She had to panhandle in order to get the money to call the poliece. But then could not find a pay phone...you get the idea. Seriously, this would have bothered me. But the good part is you got to talk with other people.

It's improving, flower.

My eating hasn't been great lately. I need to get back on the wagon.

Hello friends!!! I am SO very sorry I haven't been here at all!! just working alot, and coping with the heat, as flower said, it's crazy hot for Vermont, we had a 6 day stretch of every day over 90 degrees, that's unheard of for us!! I've had to do my trick of wetting my clothes completely and that helps a ton but its a struggle. Then coming home to a hot house, we do as much as we can to close up but the afternoon sun beats on the front of the house and we just cope til it cools down at night. BUT IT'S BETTER THAN WINTER
Lisa congrats on the kittens!!! so glad to hear Sasha is a good mommy.
Panda that blows about the friend being 2 hours late!!
flower, Hi
Coop, wow you have only had rain twice since April?? sounds like you're trying to cope with heat also.
Yes my flowers are loving the heat and sun, I just have to try to keep up with watering.
Went to the doc for a checkup yesterday, his scale showed 145 but that's with clothes at home it was a low 144. I'm pretty okay iwth that, just need to tone!! I haven't worked out since MAY
I did get a shingles vaccination today! i have a co-worker who has been out of work for 2 weeks due to shingles...she sent a phone pic and OMG the poor woman has a huge rash all over her chest and part of arms.
I'll try HARD to keep in touch better!!

Thanks Flower. I’m trying to get better about my frustrations but it helps me a lot of that I can post here for support.
I try to be a good person; I think some of my friends should do same.

I was so tired I took a nap around 4 and work up at 7:30 and went outside to buy some beverages. It’s humid out. I had no idea. When I get home i should turn on the ac. I usually leave it running but lately it’s just too cold for me 72 so I shut it off.

Panda - wow, I think I'd have left after half an hour if one of my friends didn't show! It's pretty bad... I'd definitely reconsider where you meet up with her in future.

Holly we've been in the 90s quite a bit too - it's back down to the usual 70-80F now, much better I hope your workmate gets over her shingles soon! It can't be fun in the heat either fingers crossed your vaccine works

Hi ladies,

Hello to you all.

Kittens eyes are starting to open. I need to take pics.

It's ungodly hot here today and it's not changing anytime soon. Triple digits for several days.

My cpap machine took a pooper yesterday. I had to go to a sleep Dr today and meet with him. I got a loaner machine, thank goodness. Last night was awful.

I got some healthy groceries from Wal-Mart today. I think I'm going to make tuna on lettuce wraps for supper.
I'm hungry.

I've lost 8 more lbs.

Hello Everyone! After a wonderful vacation with my family in Ireland, we had one day at home and then headed to Cleveland Clinic for my daughter's bladder surgery June 28th. She had a VERY difficult time after the surgery. She is just now beginning to feel better, although she is battling a bit of depression, which is very uncharacteristic for her. It will be awhile (maybe several months) before we know if the surgery is successful, so the uncertainty is difficult. It is hard to be patient... especially when she is still healing from the surgery and experiencing some complications from it. I am just hoping and praying so much that it will all be worth it in the long run.

Lisa, that is SO exciting about Sasha having kittens!!!
Congratulations on being a kitty grandma! I would love to see pictures of the kittens!!! Also, congrats on your weight loss and joining a gym! Have you started working out there yet? Can't believe your weather is in the triple digits. Yikes!!! Please do your best to stay as cool as possible!

Holly, congratulations on your new car! I'm so happy that you have nice, reliable transportation with some new extra features. You deserve it! I am in AWE of your baking skills! All of the yummy desserts you describe sound delicious!

Panda, I am so sorry about the way your mom has treated you. You definitely do NOT deserve it! I hope you know it is about her shortcomings and not your problem. Regardless, stressful to be around. You are doing so well putting yourself out there and meeting new people. You should be so proud of yourself! You sound like a very hard worker, too. That's awesome!

Flower, I feel your pain about carb temptation. Carbs are my enemy right now, too. I have really slacked on exercise for quite awhile now and my eating has not been great either. I don't weigh myself often. The few times I have, my weight hasn't gone up too much, but I have been horrified when I see myself in photos recently. I am SO out of shape. It is really a shame. I feel like I need to make drastic changes... but realistically, I need to start with some gradual, "baby step" changes. I hope you will be able to get control over those carbs! I am sending you to go along with the link to the diet site Coop gave you. You CAN do it!!!

Coop, way to go on your incredible weight loss!!! How is your OH doing? Are you still following his eating plan for the Celiac disease or are you back to a regular diet? Whatever you are doing, keep up the great work! You are an inspiration for all of us!
