I'm in for a goal of eight pounds in August. I'll post my start weight tomorrow. I'd really like to be able to wear all of the work clothes I bought last fall when school starts up again (they fit when I bought them but I gained about 30 pounds over the last school year).

I'm going to shoot for 8 lbs this month. I don't know if 10 a month is a realistic goal for me anymore. I'd be thrilled with 8.

I'm in! I will be aiming for 15 lbs this month. I know that is a little high but seeing as I am restarting my weight loss program, I know the first month that I can lose anywhere from 10-20 pounds.

I want in too! Now that I've figured out why I was stuck for so long and got that behind me I feel so empowered. It's time to charge back into the fray. I'm going to aim for 5 lbs.

I'm up for challenges. I feel like i have been trying for so long so anything to give me a bit of motivation.
Hmm my challenge to me is at least 1lb per week and 3-5 exercise sessions a week. I need to confess all naughties to make me accountable.

Great! It sounds like we have a good group going. I personally weigh in on sundays but i am going to hit the scale tomorrow just to be accurate. I am also counting calories, trying to stay around 1500. I have given up fast food (with the exception of In n out when i go to california in late august) and I joined another challenge where I am trying to exercise 6 days a week. I also just added a new ticker just for the month of August! Good luck everyone, post if you have any updates or need extra support!

Alright ..... tomorrow is The Day!!!! For some reason I am super excited this time around, I am really looking forward to getting through this month with you guys. I wish you all a successful 1st day, one day at a time and before we know it August will be over and we'll be that much closer to our ultimate goal.

Well, my start weight is 175 even, which makes my goal 167 by August 31st. I really want to drop some pounds, but I'm getting frustrated. I know it's my own fault - I seem to stay on plan fine for a while and then completely blow it for a couple of days before getting back to business.

Well girlies. Sticking with my weight from Mon. It's all a ritual now. Anyways....naught as had a twin pack biscuits at work as was running out to a meeting thinking I wouldn't get lunch and sods law I got there and they gave me lunch. Doh. Oh well the combat class should hav sorted those calories. Just need to have a healthy dinner. Have also decided to try 1% challenge to make a dent in my debt. Grrrrr motivation!

I'm in! I'm just starting, would love to lose 10-15 pounds this month.

I'm doing general low carb/low GI eating (aiming for less than 80g carbs per day to start), and for exercise I'm doing DDP Yoga (higher cardio, strength-building yoga), as well as just using more active pastimes, like bowling, or reading while walking

Thumbs up I am in!

Hi all. Just joined 3fc a couple days ago (my sad little saga is posted on the introductions) and am definitely up for a BIG start! Thanks, uoduck! I will have to get a more accurate starting weight, since I just ballparked it when I signed on and will update tomorrow. I have decided to try intermittent fasting (aka "fast five"), as I am fighting some hormonal/insulin resistance thing that seems to respond best to low/no carbs... but I just can't seem to stick with that for long enough to make a dent.

I just finished a 24-hour fast at 5pm (harder than I thought it would be!), to kick this whole new plan off... and now, I am planning to try the normal "fast five"-- 19 hours of fasting per day, with a 5-hour window when you can eat. So..... I am going to be VERY optimistic and shoot for losing 15 pounds in August! Let's do this thing!
