Anyone interested in an august challenge?
 
Hello!

I am a senior in college who gained about 20lb the past few terms. I am hoping to lose 10 lb the month of August. Then perhaps 5 in september and 5 in october...

Anyone want to join the challenge for August?

I have time to exercise this month, so if I burn at least another 100 cals/day I should be able to lose 14lbs this month!

What plan is everyone doing?


For most of my dieting life I've done low carb and have dabbled in calorie counting have had success on both. Low carb keeps the hunger at bay but I tend to get bored. Calorie counting works also but then I get a little loose on my choices and end up with too much sugar which leads to acne break outs and cravings.

So I think I'll monitor portions and added sugar..... we'll see.

I'm in! I'd like to lose another 15lbs by the end of August.

I am counting calories so trying to eat 1500 calories a day and exercising 6 days a week for 90mins :)

I'd like to join as well...my goal is to lose 7lbs this month! I've been doing Weight Watchers but also tracking calories. I've been struggling latetly, so have decided to do calorie counting and attempt to limit (not eliminate though!) carbs. I love Weight Watchers and had success on it in the past, but it's time for a change.

I'm doing South Beach diet phase II while also counting calories. My weight's been stuck for a few weeks, so I'm bringing it for August.

I would like to do this. I really need some motivation. I am so tired of fighting this battle alone. I'm not a new member to these boards, but I might as well be. Haven't been here in ages.
