Hi all. Just joined 3fc a couple days ago (my sad little saga is posted on the introductions) and am definitely up for a BIG start! Thanks, uoduck! I will have to get a more accurate starting weight, since I just ballparked it when I signed on and will update tomorrow. I have decided to try intermittent fasting (aka "fast five"), as I am fighting some hormonal/insulin resistance thing that seems to respond best to low/no carbs... but I just can't seem to stick with that for long enough to make a dent.
I just finished a 24-hour fast at 5pm (harder than I thought it would be!), to kick this whole new plan off... and now, I am planning to try the normal "fast five"-- 19 hours of fasting per day, with a 5-hour window when you can eat. So..... I am going to be VERY optimistic and shoot for losing 15 pounds in August! Let's do this thing!
