I made the swedish meatballs, they were good but not Ikea's. I think next time I will use half pork and half beef. Also the sauce was just too thin, it needs thickening with something, maybe arrowroot.
How did yours turn our Miss T
take care

I never made them! I ended up eating alone so I just cooked some tilapia instead. I'm going to try them tomorrow though so I'll let you know. I've never used arrowroot; maybe I'll pick some up tomorrow so I can give that a try.

hey JonJax what phase of south beach are you on? smart ones are not really allowed on any phase of south beach because of the white flour in the noodles -- among other reasons, and popcorn is a very limited snack. just make sure that you let us know which phase you're on so that others, who are using this thread as a way of listing ON plan menus will not get led astray. Thanks!

Sophie, I made those Swedish meatballs tonight. My hb and I liked them! I did have to thicken the sauce, but it had a lot of flavor. I added some stock, too, since a lot of mine cooked away, and a lot more fresh parsley. I have to admit too I used 85% ground beef. And also regular cream cheese! lol There's only about .5oz cheese per serving, so the recipe still seemed pretty light. Anyway, nothing fancy but easy, different and CHEAP. We'll probably have it again.
