Oh it's actually pretty good (the dry shampoo) but it just doesn't work the same for sweathair as it does for oilyhair - at least for me haha. Otherwise, if I have hair I washed 2 days ago and didn't exercise, it leaves my fringe looking like I just washed it - however this was before I was exercising nearly daily haha. I'm guessing you also might have a better choice in brands over there in the US!

It's only about 4pm here - but it's a horrible rainy day so I think I'm going to force myself to do some Wii fit. Thanks for the hug. I think perhaps I'm experiencing extreme PMS - I never usually get any symptoms but I am craving chocolate haha. It just feels so silly to be sitting at home crying by myself so I think I need to get busy doing something - my Wii is at my boyfriends so I'm going there now.

Only managed 14 minutes before giving up. Pretty lazy I think. Something was clicking in my leg or ankle and it felt very uncomfortable so I gave up. I'm not usually a giver-upper, but I think since I planned today as a day off, my subconscious was stubborn to keep it that way haha.

rainbowstripeyour hair ius pretty! I used to dye mine red. hmm I hate post workout stringy hair. I have loose curly hair and it doesn't do well with daily washes. So I just air it out and pray I don't look icky. It was your day off so don't sweat it. My day off is Sunday.

flythinlyns ooh! the banana roll! they do that on P90X! so effective! you'll have spanking abs in no time!
let me know how the dry shampoo works out. I would love to look good after my workouts.

As for me I had a great time with DH surfing today I am going on the evening for hot yoga. I made a deal with my neighbor about watching each others kids when we can. So I am going to take out a monthly pass for yoga and go every other day. I LOVE YOGA! specially HOT YOGA>
hope you all have a rocking day. Will check in later

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining in on this thread here. I've been away from here for a while and need to get back to being healthy. I've gained up into the mid-high 160s and would love to be happy with my weight once and for all. I'll be counting calories and running 3-4 times a week, with some strength training sessions at home as well.

stargzr you're most welcome! Good luck with your goals and post here whenever you want to keep accountable!

sun Thanks for the compliment! I really wish I could do my hair like that myself haha.

I'm feeling a bit better today...but I woke up early this morning after having a terrible dream that my boyfriend had died. When I woke up he wasn't beside me so that was kind of worse, and when he came to say goodbye for the weekend (he's going away for 2 nights) I grabbed his hand ( I was still half asleep) and didn't want to let go. I hate dreams like that. I had trouble getting out of bed this morning but I did. Got in 40 minutes on the stationary bike. I'd only planned 30, but I wanted to keep going so I did.
Struggled through it with some TERRIBLE period pain - it's weird, I feel like now I'm healthier, my period comes a little bit earlier and the pain is worse for some reason - but last time the period itself was also shorter and lighter so maybe that's a bonus - I'm on the pill so I only have my period once every 2 months - nurses/doctor said it was fine to skip every second one since they're pretty horrible periods. Anyway, just a weird observation.

Have to go to work at 1.30pm (it's now 11.30am) so I should go shower and stuff. REALLY don't feel like working but it's only for four hours and then I get fish for dinner! Yay!

Hot Yoga! It sounds so intense...but then again, yoga in general sounds pretty intense to me - I am so unbalanced I think I would be terrible.

Stayed right on plan calories wise, but didn't get them in the best way. I had hoped we'd be having fish for dinner but my mum didn't want to buy fish or cook it (I would have been happy to...but she didn't ask) so she took us to the mall to get something there. Had grilled chicken with peri peri chili sauce and yes...some fries...damn TOM making me crave the salt and stuff. Funny thing is I couldn't eat the whole portion of either the chicken or fries, so it was actually not that bad and I was under calories when I got home so had a couple of snacks.

Trying to think of something fun I can do for exercise tomorrow (Saturday). It's just about midnight Friday now and I am thinking about sleeping. Couldn't be bothered going out tonight or anything, period pain and a headache are keeping me company instead haha.

Hope you all have good weekends!

sunI so know your scale frustration, I've been facing some of that for the past two weeks. I've decided to stop weighing every day or every second day - or if I do, I won't count it as my "weigh-in" per say.

I kept on plan with calories all week, though last night (Sunday) I ate my four mini cookies as planned and REALLY wanted more. I swear I haven't had these kind of crazy wanting-to-eat-everything cravings during my TOM before, but maybe I have and just didn't notice - and ate everything haha.

Woke up feeling terrible this morning (Monday), just so tired and really didn't want to get out of bed and go to work. I was tempted to call in sick, my mood is so terrible - but since it's sole charge I kind of can't call in sick unless its really urgent. I need to sort out this mood of mine but I'm not sure what to do to shake it. I think it's just feeling like I'm in this mundane work/exercise/days off work routine. I don't do anything worthwhile with my days off work. I'm scared to get back into my painting studio. Just a small rant!

stargzr- Hi! Sounds like your on a great plan. I'm always in awe of runners.

sun- I love how your mixing it up surfing to hot yoga, very cool. I'm going to get some dry shampoo with my next paycheck so I'll keep you posted.

rainbowstripe- I know what your saying about feeling like you've wasted days off, I was in that rut about a month ago. It was particularly annoying because I always had such big plans for my days off, but ended up on the couch all day. But on a happier note, you paint?

Okay so I'm bursting with news. I just got back from my first 4 day trip since Feb, and I'm so pleased with myself I exercised twice on my layovers. (Something I haven't done in maybe 2 years). In Canada I went on an 8k walk, which ended with climbing 202 stairs. My pace was more turtle than hare, but I was outside and loved it. Then the next day in Utah, I went for a walk around a small lake at the hotel. First lap was just walking, second lap I walked and then sprited (only on the parts where nobody could see me). Then I did my 5 minute exercise routine in the hotel room, and it ended up being more like 15 minutes. It's baby steps I know, but I'm enjoying it, which is a novel concept to me. However, I'm a little ticked off, I haven't been restricting my eating, but I have been eating way less, and moving more. Yet tonight when I stepped on the scale I was expecting to see a loss, instead it said I gained a pound!!!! I don't usually weight myself at night, so I'm not too worried yet, but I really want to see a loss in the morning.

flythinlyns Yeah! I'm meant to paint. I mean... I studied at university with the aim of furthering my skills/ideas and becoming an artist. I've been out of art school 2 years now and I have a studio where I'm meant to paint. I've had a few group exhibitions... but in the last few months I've had no inspiration and I'm kind of scared to start painting again. I haven't even been in my studio (which I rent) for over 8 weeks now.
Weighing at night is always disappointing haha - I find that I'm usually a kilogram heavier at night! And go you on exercising on your layovers! That is awesome! Baby steps are amazing - I was about to share one of my own!

So my achievement baby step is - and for me it's actually pretty big because I've been avoiding it, dreading it, not wanting to do it for ages - is that I just did my first actual outdoors-on-the-sidewalk jog/run. YAY! I went 2.5 kilometres in 24 minutes. I feel great. It was hard. I got sore, the air was cold and painful going into my lungs, I got stitch/cramp, but I never stopped. When I couldn't jog, I slowed to a fast walk. I feel good! Aside from the fact I seem to have developed a cough in the 40 mins I've been back at home....

Way to go!!!!! Running outside is way harder than inside, so that's quite a big achievement. I know what your saying about the cough, I got that the other day, somehow I don't think that's the "burn" everyone talks about.

Weighed myself again this morning 181.2!!!!! Down a 1lb. (Never thought I would be celebrating that number, but a loss is a loss)

Are you going to try the outside jog/run again?

sun - Good to see you too!

rainbow - Thanks for the welcome! You sound like you're doing great so far! And such great progress!!

fly - Aww, thanks. It took a while to call myself a runner, but here I am and now I can't stop, lol.

Well, I did come in here for accountablility and I will be accountable from here on out. I didn't do super this weekend, not horrible, but not super either. Today is a new day and so far I am doing superbly! hehe
I'm off for a run tonight after work and am looking forward to it. Then over to home and eating dinner (not sure what just yet). I hope you all had a lovely weekend!!
