Started going to the gym twice a week but dont feel its doing anything, I dont think am doing it right. So we have decided to make go to the Aerobics 1 night and swimming the other rather than the gym. Dunno if its any better but hoping it will work us out better.

Well done Helen! Told you it was all in your head

CG - wow, think of all the weight training you did

Fee - have you got a programe you're following in the gym or are you just doing what you feel like? Are you doing weights or just cardio machines? I'd say if it doesn't feel like it's doing anything, give it another try, but increase speed on machines, increase weights when you lift, THEN see what happens

Well I went out with DH last night and sat in a lovely pub. I was supposed to be doing a 5K Race for Life, but unfortunately my knee was slightly grumbly so I thought best not to push it too much. I tried lamb for the first time, and I thought it was ok, but a bit greasy. They were lamb koftas though, so I presume they were deep fried, but tasty non the less.

Tonight we are celebrating our 6 month "anniversary" at another pub! It's officially tomorrow but DH and I are both out in the evening, so I'm missing kickboxing for some "quality time".

It was in my head indeed. Even after about 3 miles I was still trying to persuade myself not to go back with the shorter group, but I made it, and I was duly rewarded by seeing 150 on the scales again this morning. So that's the Easter weight gone just in time for another bank holiday binge

I'm going to try to do better this time. I've got free drinks after work tonight and tomorrow, but I'm going to limit myself to one each night - tonight I need to go home and pack, tomorrow I have to catch the airport bus anyway so have a good excuse to leave after one. Then the plan is to eat well, but not drink on Saturday, do a long run on Sunday (on holiday but it's my last chance to do a long one before tapering, and I've found a route that looks easy to follow and pretty nice), and then and only then I'll allow myself to let my hair down a bit, once the run is in the bag.

Jen - shame you had to miss RFL but best not to risk the knee if it's still grumbling. I can't believe it's 6 months already!

I've been in bed since Tuesday teatime and I have lost 7 and a half pounds! (I wouldn't recommend this diet though ) I feel dizzy still, back to docs tomorrow, I'll probably be in bed until then. I think my mistake was going shopping Tuesday...

Veggie... if its your BP making you feel so dizzy that you can't get out of bed then you should be in hospital. A couple of doctor's visits ago I had a really high BP reading - it was a hot day and I felt stressed - they made me lie down for half an hour in one of the treatment rooms and I was pretty much okay but DH was told that if my BP was still that high and/or I felt ill with it then they would have me admitted in to hospital immediately. Good luck for tomorrow.

Jen... 6 months???? OMG time is passing sooooo fast.

Helen, have a lovely run and a great weekend.

I'm not feeling at my best... time for a nap I think.

Morning girls....

Veggie, call that doctor today and have him come out to you. I think you should be in a hospital bed with them keeping an eye on you.

Jen, WOW indeed.... 6 months already, doesn't time fly. Enjoy your evening's out with hubs.

Well done on the 150 again Helen, enjoy your weekend... when you get to relax and let your hair down again.

Sarah, are you ok? Or just tired enough to want a nap to rejuvinate?

CG... that was a workout luvey... however did you fit it all in the van? Were you like the whoever they were with Granny on the roof coming home?

It's very spring like here, I've got my first load of washing to go out on the line and some serious cobweb cleaning to do today. There's a huge one above my bed, I reckon I must have eaten the spider that made it in my sleep. So the feather duster and polish is going to be flaffing around this house today...that'll be a workout for me!

Have a lovely day all.. see you later

Hello everyone!

I am so glad we have a bnak holiday on Monday! I am attempting to tody up my room. It is worse than when I was a teenager! I have clothes everywhere!

BritMJ - you would get more of a workout tidying me up instead of yourself. Interested???? Please??????

How about you Miche - you complain about your boys but how do you fancy tidying up after a 47 year old woman????!! Yeah somehow I thought you wouldn't! Some people are just not up to the challenge!!!

Well we had a lovely meal out last night - string beans in sesame and ginger, followed by the thinnest crispiest pizza with goats cheese and roasted veggie, then chocolate brownies with ice cream and I had a white russian I was well tidly! We shared everything and it was just lovely.

Tonight I'm off kickboxing so I think I need some Pepsi to pep me up a bit and some sugar!

2frus- drool drool! I love the sound of that menu. I don't often like pizza but I do love goats cheese. I haven't had a white russian for ages!
