  • Just finished 35 minutes on the treadmill.

    GROUP TOTAL 12,530 + 35 = 12,565
  • Adding my walk from last night, got in 53 minutes....forum was down when I tried to post it yesterday. So, new totals:

    Personal Total: 845 + 53 = 898/310 - 588 past my goal.


    Group Total: 12,565 + 53 = 12,618
  • Swimming and playing with my niece for about 90 minutes.

    90+12,618= GROUP TOTAL 12,708
  • I did a strenuous hike, less than 3 miles but over 400 ft rise in elevation in less than 1/4 mile. I approximate that portion at around 30% grade. The total time was about 100 minutes. Plus last night I did 20 minutes of yoga and 15 minutes of yoga this morning. So that is 135 minutes total.

    Personal total: 510 + 135 = 645
    Group total: 12,708 + 135 = 12843
  • Lots of walking today as well as a 40 minute Push strength training session.

    Personal: 430/720

    Group: 12843 + 85 = 12,928
  • Wow. SO much to catch up on! I'm still out of town but have a quick chance to post... I've got 99 min over the past 3 days (gym, walking, swimming).

    Norma -- Just to add to what Misti said -- This thread started because I DID NOT want to exercise and was trying to find a way to motivate myself (and then Valerie asked to join). I am NOT a super jock but have slowly increased my exercise over time!

    Group total ~ 12,928 + 99 = 13,027 min

    We are going to break a record, for sure -- I thin kour biggest month so far was just over 16K!!

    Today I got in a 66 minute with DH so far. New totals are:

    Personal Total: 898 + 66 = 964/310 - 654 minutes past my orignial wimpy goal


    Group Total: 13,027 + 66 = 13,093
  • I am so excited I don't exercise on Sunday but we are in Ohio visiting the new grandbaby staying in hotel so just did 60 minutes of jogging in the pool.

  • Heather: Thanks so much for the info. You have lost so much and if you had trouble with exercise, like me, I know that I can do it.
    Misti: I checked out the treadmills. Thanks to a message from Suzanne3fc on advice to check out Consurmer Reports. She even provided the link! I will need to study on that.
    Good news. I found the bolt missing from my stationary bike so now I can get back on it and I bought the "Walk Away The Pounds" dvd, so I'm back.

  • Got in a 2nd walk tonight!! 32 minutes this time! EDITED TO ADD: Got in 40 minutes of strength training too - totally killed my upperbody, woo woo!! (Or as Lester Burnham would say "I'm going to wail on my pecs, and then I'm going to do my back" DH and I love that scene. ) New totals are:

    Personal Total: 964 + 72 = 1036/310 - 726 past my goal. Over 1000 minutes!

  • This thread is the *best* thing for getting me to actually keep my exercise committment. Weighed in this morning and have sweated off another 3.6 pounds! Then I got up and did 60 minutes -- TurboJam 20 minute cardio and 40 minutes doing TurboJam Turbo Sculpt.

    August exercise goal: 340/500

    New Group Total: 13,255 + 60 = 13,315
  • Personal Total: 390 of 1000

    Group Total: 13,315 + 30 = 13,345
  • I did 20 minutes of yoga last night and 15 minutes this morning for 35 minutes total.

    Personal total: 645 + 35 = 680 (of 900 goal)
    Group total: 13,345 + 35 = 13,380
  • 13,380+66=13,446
  • 20 min bike 14-21 mph + running up and down the steps a bunch of times. I hit my goal! I'm under 300! YAY!!

    20+13,380= 13,400 Group total!
