Woo hoo
Rosey! You
should come to Vegas! Let me know when your coming and I can show you all the buffets that have healthy choices

Where abouts in AK are you? I was there a couple of years ago on a cruise - and yes, I behaved exactly like all the gawking tourists I poo poo at when they come here,

but just loved it there. Of course, it wasn't the middle of winter................
Welcome back
Lynn! you were missed. Great job on the smaller bra and the size 10s (she says as she turns green with envy) And, thanks for sharing that borrowed post - I like the idea of looking at dieting as a hobby. I think we are all doing a lot of that same research and experimentation but never saw it as actually being an enjoyable passtime. Sadly, I haven't seen Bobbi back here since the angry, frustrated post. I hope she's OK. Also haven't seen Birgit in a while. I know she was going out of town too but thought she'd be back by now. I really miss her sense of humor.
So,
Karen3, are you telling me that I'm not the only one who latches on to some idea I've read here and dissects it like a frog in a biology class? I spend the majority of my drive time to work and back bantering with myself about whether I should try something I read about in here - or how I can modify it to fit my plan. Had to buy a fake BlueTooth earpiece just so people next to me at stoplights would think I was on the phone rather than some space cadet nodding my head and talking to myself.
It's OK
Freda
- one day (or night) of a (spring fever?) food orgy won't completely undo all your hard work and all you've accomplished. Just shake it off and regroup. You'll be feeling great about yourself again in no time. And watch those kitchen sinks - they may be calorie free but they are murder on the dental work
Despite my emotionally poopie weekend, I'm right back in the groove. Found a thread in the fitness boards about reasons to stick with our exercise plans and seems one of the top things everyone likes is that exercise relieves stress - Boy are they right. Made myself get in there and sweat it out for the last two days and am right back to feeling positive - about everything, not just the size of my jeans

. Had a brief moment of panic when I realized I had tossed my sz 14s in the dryer with the 16s that I broil on hot as possible so they'll shrink and I can still get away with wearing them. I was thinking "well crud, now I'll have to wait another 10 lbs before I can wear them again" Wrong

still got them on and zipped with no muffin. Not as exciting as Lynn's size 10s but I'll take it.
Great job all you GGs who have been travelling and stuck with (or really close to) your plans

Not this weekend but the next DH and I have a weekend away to watch FIL in a bowling tournament (his big debut since getting his pacemaker so we MUST be there to cheer) I'm a little nervous since this will be my first time away from home since implementing The Plan. I'll be thinking of all of you and shamelessly using all of you for inspiration to make healthy choices.
Have a marvelous first day of the long awaited spring!
