Sunny!~Thank you re: my friend's brother. We're not sure what exactly happened because he was isolating himself from the family, but he had a gal friend and he was depressed and drinking a lot and then he had gallstones and pancreatitis and maybe hepatitis (which he didn't know about), and he just got very sick. Then in the hospital he had a seizure and had internal bleeding and then a heart attack. So very sad. I spoke to my friend last night, she's doing ok, hasn't slept much and was just exhausted. It's strange how you grow as a friend. I've known her since my sophomore year, but she's like a sister. We never thought something like this would happen to Davey. It makes you think of your own mortality and it made me think about my brother. But i'm glad we talked because she needed to, she told me that he prayed the prayer and they were praying and reading from the bible with him and she was very comforted by that.
I feel better today....i'm hoping that the long weekend will help along with this anti-inflammatory. I can't say it truly takes the pain away, but i'm sleeping better and hoping that it will help me. My house chores are piling up, but for now, i can't do anything about it.
Hello and I am so sorry I have once again been MIA. I have been so busy at work and my team has been going as support to another store as support help so I have been very busy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to go next week to the other store and help again. Plus they call me all day long to ask questions kind of makes me feel speical! I am feeling ok. I will always have pain but I feel mentaly I am doing great! I am feeling more like the old me that is always doing a project and fixing up my house. I am redoing my familyroom in the americana look. Bold country walls. It is a lot of work but I am loving it! My Mom gave me a early Birthday present of a sewing machine and I have been in heaven! I have made a curtain head board for my bed and found the perfect comforter set in kingsize with two shams and bed skirt and for 50.00 dollars! (I have been bargain shopping) I got matching panels and made the headboard it is so nice! I will painting the familyroom all day today! I have been at the home depot alot in the last few weeks and I want to do some of the speical effect painting on my furiture I am going to do the crackle I am so excited to try it!
Sunny-I am so glad the news was good about Joe. I have several friends who have gone through the sleep study and ended sleeping with a mask at night and they say it has made a huge diffrence in how they feel. Will pray he does well.
Ez-I am so proud!!! My DD just had a birthday party boy & girl she is the one who just got comfirmed. It was so cute to watch them together. because they have gone to school and church together most of them thier whole life you could tell they were kind of sad to see the group break up. My DD will be going to public high school I hate that but the others went and loved it. She is looking foward to a real art class. She has alot of talent.
Mkay-I have been MIA a lot. I have 6 kids really 7 now that I have a wonderful SIL. I work full time at TARGET in the HR office. I struggle with several health problems that cause me alot of pain. But I am so thankful for this group they help me through so much. Looking forward to get to know you better.
Mitchypoo-I pray your pain is better. I also took relfen and it didn't work for me. I also have been on lots of the other meds and the problem you have to watch for is they are hard on your stomach and they cause swelling and for me that causing me more pain. For me aleave does just as well as the high cost meds. The doctors are not going to call in pain meds if they don't see you first because of all the rules because of the abuse that goes on. I see a lot of the stuff that goest to our pharmacy and I can't belive some of what I read. One article I read talked about how the pharmacy had to make sure people were not getting pain meds who didn't need it. (how did it become the pharmacy's job to decide if I needed it?) A big HUG for you!!!! I will praying for you!
Angel Lover-How is your Son? My Brother is driving my DM nuts. He has a drinking problem and when his girlfriend has enough she kicks him out and he comes home to MOM. I am really worried about my Mom she has lost her voice and has to yell to be heard. It has been about 3 months now. I noticed the othere day it was a lot worse. I am so worried. She wont go to the doctor. She does have her reg appt. in two weeks.
Sue-I hope you are having a good time on our trip.
Sherry-YOu have been hit by the bug. Spy ware in the bug. It junks up your page so it closes down. We had to take everything off and start over.
Wilma-I would love some home baked goods. (of course healthy) So glad things are going well.

Good Morning,
And what a nice morning it is! I haven't walked today yet - I was really tired, so I slept in till 5:15 this morning and had to get Joe's lunch ready & get him out the door. I felt like I needed the rest, so will get my 2 miles in later today. And tomorrow I will go to Curves in the morning. Monday they were closed and I cannot go today...
What a day Joe & I had yesterday!
We had a nice breakfast out yesterday and then had a FULL day shopping! We went to Wal-Mart for bathroom supplies, the Pet Store for food supplies and cat harnesses (so the boys could go outside with us - they love it - just like puppies, so cute!), Lunch at Tony Roma's (they have a Low Carb Menu now-nice!) ~ I had Bar-B-Q Chicken (with No-Carb sauce), steamed broccoli w/garlic and a salad & Joe had a Chicken Ceaser Salad; then on to Target we went... We don't have a sleeper-sofa any more (& we have company coming in Aug.) so we got an air bed at Target. We got the Eddie Bauer Brand ($69.00-Queen Size) - it was allot cheaper and just as nice as the Aero Air Mattress ($179.00-Queen size). It comes with it's own compressor and inflates in 90 seconds and the compressor can be switched around to pull the air out when you want to deflate it --- we had it deflated and put into the carry bag it comes with in about 3-4 min. This one is battery operated with 4 D-cell batteries. The Aero is electric... but for as often as we would use it (& the price difference!) we thought the Eddie Bauer was a much better deal. Besides... you can use the battery operated one anytime or anywhere (no electric needed), which makes it very convenient. We just take the batteries out after we finish with it before we store it away. It's great! When Joe & I inflated ours yesterday we both *napped on it for an hour or so (*note --- only napped ) --- we were just so tired from the day --- shopping is allot of hard work ya know It's real soft on top and I like the color of it too. It's very comfortable and will use reg. sheets. We already have a Q-size bed, so we didn't have to buy any more sheets. So Nice.
So if anyone is looking for an Air Bed - that is my review

Hi *SAMI*
So nice to hear from you!!!!!! It has been so quiet on this thread lately, rather sad really - I miss everyone so much!
Sounds like work is really keeping you hopping !!! I was just at our Target yesterday (note above )... I sure do enjoy that store! They always have really different things there --- I just got some things there for my sister too. She is on the SBD and has lost 8 lbs. in 10 days, so I got her a reward gift since she cannot afford buy one herself. She deserves it, that's for sure. She is doing so well with her program. Now my mom wants to join in too --- just to great! Then all 3 of us will be doing the SBD together, it makes it fun to have it in common and support one another.
Your rooms sound wonderful!!!! Will you be taking any pictures so we can all see???? WoW! You sew like that!!? I wish I could sew like that - I get so frustrated with my machine! It would really cut costs if I could make my own window treatments. Come back soon and let me know how that crackle comes out --- I heard they have great products out now for that. Awesome Sami!! I am happy for you!
Joe is sleeping so much better on his side now that he knows what happens while he's on his back. I sometimes have to turn him, but not often. He got the worst cold after we saw the Dr. He is better now - he sounds worse then he is, but all weekend he was not feeling well. Yesterday was the first day he wanted to go anywhere and we had a nice time!

Re: your friend... My goodness, he suffered allot.
Awesome that they were reading the bible together --- proof that it is never too late! Again, I am so very sorry
How are you doing little lady??? Your emotions?? Your back??
I sure do hope that you had some rest time over the 4th and were able to rest that back of yours!
Were you well enough to do anything over the 4th?
*~*~*
Well, I really must be going now --- feels like I have been on all morning... what am I saying, "I have!"
*Have a great day everyone! I MISS YOU ALL* SunnyD <><
Where is everyone? I know, having fun with the family, enjoying the extra day off..........but it's Tuesday now and I miss my friends!
My 4th was uneventful....I literally was in bed since Sat. after work. I left a few times to go get coffee or food, but otherwise, that was it. I really thought I was doing better, but after getting up and in the shower this a.m. i'm not so sure. We'll see how it goes today. I go to the chiro toda after work. I think the traction helped so i hope he does it again.
I've talked to my friend who lost her brother and she's doing pretty good. I've tried to call her everyday just to let her know i'm thinking of her. Her poor Dad is not taking it well. He walks around the house with a picture of Davey just crying. I feel so sorry for the family, but my friend knows he's with the Lord. Our faith can be such a comfort sometimes.
If I'm up to it, i'm going grocery shopping after the chiro. Hope you are all well.
Oh Sunny, you posted at the same time, just beat me. I'm glad you are back. The airbed sounds comfy.....Sounds like Joe is feeling better. Glad you are back!

We didn't have an eventful weekend either, just played games and nursed Joe's cold... everything happened all in one day - yesterday. We made up for lost time.
I will be thinking of you while you are at the chiro today - sure do hope all goes well! Come back as soon as you are able to fill us in on how it all goes, okay.
Again... you are posting while I am writing you... too funny
