sorry for having you worried ladies but had a very bad weekend the weather here is dreadful all day friday and saturday we had very bad fog so bad you could only see ten foot in front of you so with it being damp i suffered craig went off to football on saturday and dh was at the pub and conner had a new computer game to play so me and cleo settled down on the setee for a nap after about an hour the phone went with the very bad news that my uncle who is also my godfather had had a massive stroke and was not expected to live so i had to jump in a taxi to get to my dads as he was on his own and was very upset my uncle pud was my fathers best freind and had married my dads only sister who i am named after we lost her two years ago and my uncle hasnt been the same since so in a way it was a blessing he went so quick his 5 sons are bereft but bless them all they have all found time in there greif to vcall me and make sure im okay i feel as if a huge piece of my childhood has been stolen from me as i spent a lot of time in fife with the family i was the honorary daughter and sister and was spoiled rotten so hence the absence as i had to sort out my 0own feelings before i blasted them all over the world thanks for missing me anyway back to semi normal the washing machines fixed and the washing caught up with didnt sleep all saturday night so decieded to clean so i would sleep last night so i washed all the windows and changed all the curtains and scrubbed the floors and did the ironing MEL YES YOU GOT THE CHAIR i am so glad was it worth waiting for ??? thanks for the hugs and thank jen too SHAD you wouldnt last 2 minutes at a footie match over here unless you know all the curses under the sun and all the songs and you are not allowed to drink in opur football grounds but glad you enjoyed it??? HAPPY people should be told of the damage touching these poor delicate things causes the butterfly farm here does not allow touching if they land on you you have to stand still and wait until they move i saw a very unusual british butterfly on the tv on gardeners world it was a british swallow tail and it was lovely will try and track down a picture TEEL way to go on the weight loss im so proud of you your trip to london ,must be coming up soon ?? youll be looking forward to it MEADOW very inspirational posts im afriad im a mudsucker and not likely to get out anytime soon but you cope glad your here NAE how goes it in your neck of the woods?? good i hope how did everthing go with your bereavment has the funeral already passed ?? i got a very beautiful poem sent to me in a sympathy card i will post it here soon anyway havent done the tea dishes yet or much of anything yet so im off and ill pop back later the good thing is i havent been doing anything too energetic today but as its been raining since 3 am thers not much to do or i can be bothered doing so ill pop back later and see what everyones up too

Went to the mall and got lots of self-help and motivation books for Mel's search for inner peace. I will be ready in my mind for the bad times yet to come. Not a depressing thought but I just like to be "ready" for things. Know what I mean?! LOL A new DVD and a new bag for the side of the wheelchair. All the book giftcards are gone and I'm ready for reading this winter! LOL
Two people took me to lunch. Haven't had a lunchdate in years! They surprised me at the mall and we had a great time!
Jen just left after looking at all the "loot" and she's already borrowing it all in her mind!! I could see the wheels turning!

Gonna be a quick post as I am way behind in my things to do list. My ISP decided to spit the dummy overnight and there was no internet this morning. Actually I think it had been going down since yesterday afternoon as there was no mail all afternoon. Not a normal occurence since I usually get some sort of junk at least.
Linus, I am so sorry to hear of your Uncle. I know how I felt when the last of mine went a couple of years back. I hope you are dealing okay with the grief and the loss.
Mel, glad to hear that the shopping spree went fine. I love the sound of the chair bag - just keep darling daughter away from the spoils. She can have them much later.

Deary me some chicks aren't half going through tough times on this thread currently. But I am glad, as I know the rest of the chickies will be, that you did not succumb totally to the virus and need to go and visit the hospital. Take good care Kirsty, mind that poor body of yours;mega stresses like the one you are going through can wreak havok with already ailing joints and bones...
This is a quick post from me. I am so darn fed up with waking up so often during the night I decided to occupy the brain cells for a few minutes. It is 02:55hrs as I and I think this is the 3rd or 4 th time I have woken up since I went to be at about 22:45hrs. Of course raging thunder didn't help much as I got into bed....

I meant to press go advanced and pressed post entry instead. Sometimes I wonder. Anyway I have been down at the DS's house since sparrowf*rt this morning as the floor man rung yesterday to ask if he could move the day forward following a cancellation. I said yes then checked with DS only to find that he didn't go and lift the hall carpet, nor did he take the shelves out of his wardrobe. So I had to get up very early this morning and go do it myself. Grumble; grumble. Anyway, I'm off back down there when I get off here to pick up some of the tools so I can work here. Hoping to get a few tiles done on the bath this afternoon and then have a think about the frame for the cabinet.
So I can't hang about here. Sorry I haven't checked out all the posts. I'll be back to reply later to that which I can!!!
Must be getting time for a new home as well. I'll deal with that this afternoon.
