WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: I love food (doesn't matter what it is, I love lots of it) and it loves me. Moving in with hubby-to-be (and cooking for him) who places greater value in movies on the couch than on exercise and the weight just piles on. My gyno has suspected since I was 16 that I have PCOS; I will go for several months without a cycle then have a period that lasts 3+ months super heavy with large clots.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: In the past, it was always (it seemed) for vanity...to be skinny, to fit in, to not be ridiculed because my butt was more ample than my friends'. Although I still want to be skinny, it is now more about getting my out of whack hormones under control. I very much want to have children and hate that at this time, I seriously think I'm infertile and may only be able to conceive with chemical assistance.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? As if a PCOS diagnosis isn't bad enough, I was diagnosed 2 years ago with Uterus Didelphys meaning I have two Uteri instead of one, two Cervixes instead of one, one Ovary on either side, and a septum dividing my vagina into two sides.
I am very open and honest; there are not many conversations I shy away from. I am here for support (feeling like I need a lot these days now that we're TTC) and advice on what the best options are out there as far as medication, diet, and exercise.

BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Staying motivated to excercise (I can stay motivated about a week and then I'm tired of it) and not eating more than my dieting calorie intake (1300/day)
WHAT'S DIFFERENT AND WILL MAKE ME SUCCESSFUL: It's not just about looks this time, it's about my health - I have insulin resistance as many of you probably do as well, and I don't want diabetes.
ANYTHING ELSE: Diagnosed at 15. Or was it 16? I don't remember, honestly! Was very disappointed that it would be hard to have children. Now I'm on birth control to make me have periods, and with weight loss releasing estrogen I'm all out of wack hormonally. But hopefully when I'm done losing weight I'll be better - I want to be a size 8 by prom next year!

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: The fluctuations, seriously. I can't keep my eye on the prize. I'll stay in it for a week and lose it for a month.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: Treatment for my PCOS, and I am moving to a place with a gym right outside my door (in 11 days!).
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I'm a fighter, in both positive and negative ways. If I want something, I'll get it.. unfortunately for me (and my PCOS), that could be pizza bagels or losing 10 pounds. I am pretty easy going, once you get to know me. I'm 'loud and proud' but I struggle a lot as well, I capture just about every emotion out there. I've got a wall with this weight loss thing, and it's sometimes just too big for me to tear down on my own. Support system? Don't have one.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS:
Not eating processed sweets!
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I normally post in the 300 plus club, but thought I would say hello here. I found out I had PCOS ten years ago. I currently don't take medications.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I'm working on improving my fertility, my husband and I have agreed that once I get my degree out of the way we can start trying for a baby!
I've also discovered a trait within myself that is very much less than desirable and I know it stems from my own self image - I am a HUGE green-eyed monster! I snap at my husband if I so much as think he looked at another woman, I hate being like that, I was never like that previously. I just... hate myself and that REALLY needs to change!

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Regulating my carb intake.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I really want it becuase of the reasons below!!
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I've always wanted to lose the weight. A couple years ago I was 50 pounds lighter than this after losing a lot of weight...then I ate it back FAST. I didn't know how I could have possibly gained so fast what had been so hard to lose. Just last week I was diagnosed with PCOS and now it seems clear. I suppose I kind of always knew. I fit right into the mould of what PCOS does to a person. The diagnosis has really hurt me because it has made me realize what fertility means to me. I always thought it was no big deal, that if I couldn't conceive that meant I was supposed to adopt. My fiancé is on board with that, but my heart aches with the thought that I might not be able to conceive his child...a child I really want to carry and bring into this world. I will accept it if I can never conceive and carry a child, but not because I didn't do everything in my power to be healthy enough to do it. I'm not interested in much for fertility treatments or invitro, but I will do everything in my power to be as healthy as I can when we start trying to conceive.
So here I am...a tad down-hearted but hopeful that there's more out there for me than infertility and obesity. Happy to be part of the pack!

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Not exercising enough
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I want to feel normal and eventually have children.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, I had went to specialists, gynos...everyone. I disliked them all. I FINALLY found an awesome doctor who is checking everything on me and really working to help me. I have lost 45 pounds this year and now i am no longer insulin resistant and my testosterone level went down to *almost* normal. I still have a lot to lose, so I am really working on it. I have an endometrial biopsy this month and am scared, apparently my uterine lining is extremely thick and they need to find out why and how we can fix it. We want to have children one day and I'm not getting any younger. I want to take control of my health so I can be a mom one day
Thanks for listening. This forum has been awesome, I have lurked through so much of it already.

OCCUPATION: I have two jobs, one as a cashier at a local store, and one as a Behavioral Intervention Support Specialist at a group home for teen girls in the foster system
More about me: I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago, but in '09 I had my right ovary removed. It was completely enveloped within a benign tumor, and could not be separated. Since then I became severely estrogen deficient and have struggled with almost every symptom of traditional PCOS--anxiety, depression, acne, weight gain, irregular/nonexistent menstruation, etc. It's an uphill battle, but I'm ready to climb.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I started losing weight in November of 2012 and lost about 30 pounds but put back most of it. I am trying to lose the weight for good now! I've been diagnosed with PCOS for over 10 years and it has been quite a journey.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Probably a full on physiological/psychological food addiction, along with depression and boredom. Food rules my life!
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I'm so sick of doing this to myself. I was down to 168 lbs 2 years ago and have piled it all back on. I don't want to be overweight anymore. I want to invest in myself and maybe have kids one day.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I'm hoping to find friends, exchange support, and feel motivated. I'm sensitive, but trying to figure things out. I hope to fit in here and stop screwing up my weight loss goals!
More about me: I had originally lost 60+ pounds at one point. I quit taking my birth control and gained 50+ back. I quit having my menstrual cycle. I went to the doctor to see why all of this was happening so fast and he diagnosed me with PCOS. I tried Clomid. I ovulated, but never conceived. I really hated the way it made me feel. I am now on Inositol, B-complex Stress, and a prenatal vitamin. When it comes to how I feel about everything, I am not necessarily so focused on conceiving, I just want my body to work right...I feel so broken and I feel like I worked so hard to lose almost 100 lbs for nothing. I'm lost and broken
