Ok I'm in too but mine is bread and chocolate. Both make me feel horrible when I eat them but they taste sooooo good! However, I have been making my own with a different sweetner so it's not so bad for me and that has helped a lot because it doesn't spike my insulin and it curbs the craving. But the bread is horrible. I don't keep it in the house but when I go out once a week with my family it is harder. I am really enjoying this thread.

Hey Peds Welcome as well!! Yea, well ok what we can do is everyone throw in what they love and crave that is a big NO NO to us. Then if someone breaks that we ALL have to suffer with a punishment. Hmmm... I actually like the bread bet. I loooooooooove toast. MmMmm *Drool* I am trying to think of what is it that I eat that is very bad. I love carbs. Hmmm... I need to think about this one. Ok, I am going to use Peds idea no bread and no coffee

So, starting tomorrow (January 10th) we can not eat what we have decided to give up. And if one of us messes up (we must be honest) What will be our punishment??

Good morning ladies!

Sorry for not checking in last night. T and I had a great night at the gym, he did really well at his fitness assement and has another appointment next Tuesday for his second free session.

We're really considering buying some personal training sessions for the both of us so we can learn what our bodies need.

Still no fast food for me so YEAH!

Also, in non weight loss news my husband is up for shore duty orders and we both want Chicago. Well, we got the list this morning and there is a LOT of chicago on there so our chances are good

I'll make another thread for our bet

My husband and I are both originally from NW Pennsylvania... we're high school sweethearts (everyone together now AWWWW)

He's been in the Navy for 5 years, and we've spent all of that time in one duty station so this will be our second Military move. It's going to be a challenge, but one that I'm definitely up for!

Boo to internet being down. I'd go a little mental, I need my fix now and again LOL

Hello to everyone. I am in on the bet....Yes!!

Well, I went and had a good work out this morning and feel really good today. I have a question for all of you with PCOS.....I had not gotten my period in about 4 months. Now that I have cut down a lot on carbs and excercising my period has started. Do any of you guys have the same experience. A while back I lost about 40 lbs and that was the only time my period was regular. Just wondering if others have the same symptom.
I have not been on any birth control pills for about 6 years and last year my dr. gave clomid to help me ovulate so I took them one month did not work so I never took them again. I know, I know I need to give it few more months but I hate taking pills. Let me know you experience and your symptoms with PCOS.......
Thanks........have a great day!!!

Oh, absolutely!

When I was at my heaviest 262 it was NOTHING for me to go six months to a year without a period. Now that I'm smaller my periods are definitely more normal, although we're still pretty sure that I'm not ovulating.

My Symptoms:
Slightly more than average facial hair
Unexplained weight gain (before the insulin resistence was diagnosed)
Loss of cycle and ovulation
Infertility

I used to go to McD's and order just the Southwestern Salad, no dressing. Then they discontinued that salad so I am boycotting them completely now. Now I do Subway.

My weight definitely does the same thing to my periods. My doctor diagnosed me with something called Insulin REsistance that is very often related to PCOS and it explains why taking carbs out helps to regulate everything. So I eat no sugar and no flour (which spikes insulin like sugar) so that my system can regulate itslef without meds.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful monday
