Weighed in yesterday, lost .8 for a total loss of 6.4 in 4 weeks. I keep saying I'll be happy with 1lb per week, but sheesh... this is a glacial pace! I'm going to keep on truckin', though.
We're totally gonna need a bigger box of kitty litter.
That deserves TONS of dancing vegetables ---
zoesmom & vday, CONGRATS on your losses, those are awesome!!
fressca, that is also an AWESOME loss, you're still going down! Be thankful you're not going up or maintaining Sure it'd be great to see a bigger one but you're definitely doing the right thing right now.

Kitty litter box #1 down I think (35lbs was it?). Perhaps there's a big sale on on kitty litter - shall we buy in bulk, save ourselves some money, and go for another one?

Sadly, I was only down .2 this morning I would like to think that because this is the end of my first full week of my stepper/pilates six-day exercise plan, that I am building muscle and by being back at school and walking there every day that I am "reawakening" the muscles I was working before Christmas, but that might just be wishful thinking
Don't forget you NSVs, Free, I've been relying heavily on them lately. I tried on a bunch of stuff in cleaning out my closets yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at what fits me now. I guess I always had hopes of getting this weight off, because I kept alot of clothes that I couldn't wear .
Sounds like you're on that mini-stepper regularly, that's great! Have you taken some measurements? Also, once in awhile when you're walking at school take stock of how you feel, are there places that used to be a challenge (stairs, hills) that aren't so much anymore?
Great job losing, btw! Any loss is a gain, so to speak
crbowles, congrats on the -1.6! We appear to be WL twins this week
Jane, WTG on the -3!!! That's fantastic!!
freedom, 0.2 is still something! You're moving in the right direction and yes, your muscles may be to blame in which case that's GREAT news!
Who was it who said they buy giant bags of bulk kitty litter? Perhaps we can aim for one of those now instead; apparently my wimpy 35-lb box challenge was too easy for you guys.
As a side note, I just noticed the white board we have in our meeting space with the total weight lost per week by our members, and I was pretty floored by it -- it said that last week, something over 820 lbs were lost. 820! In one week!! My town is getting lighter by the minute!

We buy the big bags of kitty litter, but I couldn't tell you how much they weigh off-hand, unfortunately.
I haven't taken measurements but I think my biggest NSV so far is just being able to say no to things. Before, I had a really hard time doing it, not having that second piece of chocolate or some more potato chips, but now I have noticed that I have become a lot more picky about what I'm willing to spend my points on. Hopefully that will stick around! I alternate my stepper and pilates (stepper one day, pilates the next) with one day off and I'm surprised how easy it is to actually stick to. I don't make myself work too hard so once I am satisfied that I have done enough steps for the day (between 1600 and 2000 usually) I will let myself stop and this, because it's not too much exercise and doesn't take up too much time, seems to be working as I don't mind doing it! I think before I hated working out because I saw it as too much work and I was really tired and sweaty afterwards. Doing it more often in smaller bursts seems to be the way to go! Sometimes even on pilates day I'll jump on the stepper because I'm in that 'groove' suite was talking about on the other thread.
820 pounds? That is amazing! My aunt was making a joke about continental shift or something, due to the amount of weight we are losing in our little group (there's her and her friend in Vancouver, me over here in England, my Aunt on Vancouver Island, and two other friends in Ontario that regularly email each other updates, recipes, etc). It was pretty funny, and just a joke, but perhaps not that far off! 820 pounds is a lot! Think how much less of a force is exerted on the ground when 820 pounds less of people are walking around!
Anyway, thanks guys. Here's to losing more than 0.2 next week! I'll just have to make sure I take it easy on the cheese fondue tonight - and only have one martini!
OH, I just found you all today! How utterly inspiring! Congrats to all who have lost and all who have continued OP! My last weigh in (first for the month of Feb) was Feb 6--down 1.5. I better get in on this now as this week was not so hot over all. Hoping for maybe a neutral this Wed. Got 4 AP's today and going to exercise next 2 days too, so fingers crossed...
