Rachel, You did great! I went camping too and have a lot more course-correcting to do than you, ha! Seriously, camping is kind of hard. Everyone goes for simple things like sandwiches. My husband loves to make desserts on the campfire with a Dutch oven. He makes cobbler with bis quick and canned fruit in a sweet syrup. Its not even that great, it's just a tradition. And it seems there's a lot more snacking and beer around. I came home just .2 pounds up, which is good, but I had wanted to be down. Onward...
i copied that and put in my MRC folder...i keep this folder on my desktop w/ the MRC info that i refer back to often :-) we are thinking like thin people think - it's a lifestyle change and i love it! i do wish they made protein beer though, that would be awesome! haha

I so agree with you especially with warmer weather Your preference is Mich Ultra right?
WI today - same weight again. So the manager and I had a nice talk. She really believes that if I don't cheat - no licking, tasting, sampling anything other than items OP, that I should be at stabilization in 2.5 weeks. So, away we go

love mich ultra but has to be ice cold in ice or even in freezer before serving :-) when i'm on vacation, i'll mix vodka or tequila and sugar free margarita mix (10 cal.) with the Roadside lemonade HNS (Syntrax) or pink lemonade HNS (Protidiet)...that works too! of course if i didn't drink, i'd lose faster. i do try to alternate cocktails w/ water and afterwards, chug a lug even more water! and exercise more. i usually end up dancing when i'm drinking so get more activity in anyway - haha!
you prob. already know this but when you weigh in, make sure you have light clothes always packed to change into - makes the biggest difference to avoid disappointing weigh ins...and cut back sodium the night before...we as women retain water like crazy!!
With all this I'm reading about drinks, I must confess to a margarita tonight. Ironically I found it too sweet! It had agave syrup in it, which I didn't realize when I ordered. My entree was salad with grilled shrimp, which was delicious. Afterwards, my sweet cravings were out of control and I started foraging at home. This would have been the time to have a protein bar on hand, but I didn't. I snarffed raisins and almonds. Feel crappy because that was a lot of off plan calories that weren't even satisfying.
You know, I wonder if I brought this on by getting too hungry earlier. I just did shakes today and was starved by six pm. Not sure even one MetaQuick day is good for me...
What a rough few weeks this has been. Not doing too good lately. I've dealt with 2 stomach viruses and now I have a middle ear infection that hurts like you know what. I'll go to my weigh in tomorrow, but I'm dreading it.
Jen - Big hugs to you! Hang in there! Sending healing thoughts your way!
Love to Fish - Go, you! You'll be in stabilization in no time!
My weigh in is today ... not sure how I'll do due to the small cheats over the weekend, but we're moving on. I know I shouldn't have had the s'mores, did it, did extra exercise and water and now I'm over it.
Dropped another pound, so I'm happy. I am a little worried because I'm leaving on Thursday for grad school, and I'll be gone 10 days...at a resort, eating out every meal. I think I've got myself under control, but it still makes me a little nervous.

Congrats! Remember: salad, protein, veggie, salad, protein, veggie, repeat, repeat, repeat. Take some Nectar protein powder so if there isnt enough protein available, you can get it in that way.its not MRC branded, but has no carbs and is 24 grams per 100 calories.
And what is your grad school program,if we may ask? Sounds exciting for you and great to be starting out confident that you look and feel so much better.
Congrats, Cochick.. You are doing so well... You will do fine while you are away... Don't worry, just enjoy the great challenge of grad school.
Jen.. Hang in there.. Hope you are feeling better soon.
lovetofishandrun, you are almost there.. So happy for you.
I am a bit down with the 2 pound gain, and need to get out of that feel sorry for myself mood real fast.. I just lose weight so slow, that 2 pounds is a lot for me, but I will do my best to get it off by Tuesday.

Can I buy Nectar Protein in a store, or is it only available online? Because I won't have the time to order something and have it arrive in time.
My degree is in creative writing/screenwriting. And I LOVE it.
Great job to everyone, and hope anyone who feels sick gets better soon. We can do this!
Okay... just got back from WI. Stayed the same... and I jumped up and down for joy! I was happy with the same after the s'mores and 1/2 ice cream I split with my hubby. I didn't feel deprived at all this weekend and felt in control of my eating... for the first time in a long time. I sampled what I wanted, added some exercise to off-set it, and moved on... happy day for me, guys.
COChick - congratulations on the grad school! You got this! You can do anything you set your mind to... just plan, plan, plan... get your water in and do the best you can with eating. Lots of salad (dressing on the side or replace with oil/vinegar combo), grilled chicken and fish and whatnot, lots of water to offset the extra sodium... as a side note, do you take the Fat/Carb blocker? It seemed to help me in the past.... Anyway, so excited for you! Remember, you can do it!

I get it at the Vitiman Shoppe and Super Supplements. GNC does not carry it. And I had a feeling you might be in creative writing - not many other grad programs that I know of are low-residency. I have an MFA from U of Montana, which was one of the first schools to have a writing program bsck in the-ahem- day, and was a fabulous experience for me. Good luck. Watch the drinking, ha!
Haven't posted in a bit, but caught up on all discussion! Welcome to those just starting the program...and others who are keeping up the great work!
Oh the joys of Maintenance...I am up one week, down the next week, concerned one minute, confident the other minute! Continues to be a journey, just from a different perspective
I was introduced to a couple of new menus this week...my counselor has challenged me to try for just a couple days here and there. I really don't like hovering so close to my "red zone" weight every week because it stresses me out. So..dropping a bit might help this. Problem is that putting tight restrictions on my diet again sounds soooo unappealing now that I have been able to introduce everything back in You quickly recall just how disciplined we have to be while losing..I don't really miss that phase so much, but am grateful for the tools and menus that can get me back on track at times like this
I continue to find much motivation sharing everyone's journey on this forum. There is so much confidence and good advice!! Regardless of what phase we are each in, having the support of each other is priceless to me.
Keep in up ladies! The "lifestyle" change is for real...plan to use the tools you are learning forever!
