Just wanted to stop by and say HI! It has been quite a long time since I have been on. I met my goal and started maintenance a couple months ago. Things have been going well. I go up some days and down on others. I love my new life and am learning how to live in it. Keep going everyone. It is worth it, you are worth it!

I was much healthier, felt, and looked great..well..3 years has gone by and I have slowly but surely worked my way back up the scale. I've gained about 30 lbs back and really need to get back on track. I'm thinking of going back to the center on Monday. I really need the accountability. However, I can not afford to buy the supplements and drinks. I have my own drinks and snacks still left over from the many times I bought them (I re-signed several times from 2008-2010). I think I can get 10 weeks for $79 and with the holidays coming up I can earn more weeks for losing over those weekends probably. I'm hoping I can get up to 14-15 weeks and lose 30 lbs again.

What do you all think? What's the average around here? I know everyone is different. But realistically, is 2-3 lbs per week reasonable to expect?

I have to get back to the gym and start eating right. I will try to come in here for support and to give support as well. This group was a HUGE part of my success before. I've struggled over the last year and a half with trying all kinds of different plans again.

**Ignore my ticker..I need to update it. I tried Atkins this year (along with other plans)..

i order everything from Diet Direct or Nashua . i buy the pink lemonade in bulk for my clear HNS. and Syntax Nectar orange. i also get the Vanilla Creme protein powder from Walmart. Jen has posted the new MRC menus and lots of other helpful info that you can copy or she'll email directly to you.(if you don't want to rejoin) i joined in Aug. and am paid up till December. i plan to not rejoin because i get more support, motivation and food tips, etc. from the members on these boards. i go in weekly for weigh ins right now just because i have till Dec. my center is only interested in selling me pills and supplements... (i don't take any of them) i'm sure i'd lose more than 1-3 lbs a week like im doing now prob. if i took them but my doctor told me once i stopped taking them, i'd gain the weight back. so my theory is, lose slow and keep it off!! i do love the plan. each person is different. i will lie to my husband when my paid plan ends in Dec. and tell him i'm still weighing in and paying big bucks ... haha!! he's an Executive Chef and his life is food! right now, i'll say, nope can't eat that...weigh in tomorrow honey! :-)

Yes, I am the stranger! It's been so long and don't even want to talk about how far behind I am. I don't think I've been on here for a couple of weeks. Shame on me!

We finally got moved into our house and I'm loving it! Such a nice quiet neighborhood. I mowed the yard for the first time this past Friday. What a work out! I haven't really been to the gym in about 3 weeks because of moving & work. This doing 2 jobs for the price of 1 is really starting to get old and I really wish they would hurry up and hire someone because the stress is really getting me down! And to add to the stress, my mom's car died and is going to cost over $3000 to get a motor.. and it's not even worth that much! So we've been having to share my car. I really don't know how everyone with kids does it! That has also limited me from going to the gym because I have to pick her up from work, take her home and at that point it's after 6pm on some nights and time to cook dinner. But a friend of mine is joining the gym I go to and we are going to start working out next week. I may just let my mom have my car, drop me off in the mornings, walk to the gym and then have my friend take me home. We'll see! :?:

I have pretty much been OP but eating at odd times and not really switching things up so my weight loss has slowed down a lot. I signed the 90lb board on September 27th but since then, I have only lost 4 lbs! Only losing 1lb - 1.5lbs per week but the consultants don't seem to be worried about it. It's getting a little frustrating but I'm hanging in there! I go in for measurements on Friday but can't really tell that I've lost move inches. My bra & pants still feel the same. I hope that hasn't stalled too!

Anyway - I did flip back a few days and saw a new face!! JenB!! You look FANTASTIC!

I actually created a collage of "My Face". So I'm attaching it here.

I will really do my best to try to check in more often. I've missed everyone on here. And, can't promise anything but I'm going to try to catch up on all the threads.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

You look amazing! I wish I had taken more pics when i started this program...but what a difference! You should be soooo proud of yourself!

Struggling Nicole..
How nice to hear from you. Jen started a maintenance forum for us that have reached it.. Like you, I am up 2, down 2 , maintain, etc.. I did go 5 pounds under goal as a buffer and I am glad I did..

Come by more often and say hello and let us know how you are doing.

Patzi

patzi 10-21-2011 10:28 AM

I had maintenance weigh in today and lost 1/2 pound, making me 5 pounds under goal.

I tried adding in peanut butter again this week, as everytime I did would gain.
I added it to my coffee shake, and no gain, so that is a good thing. I remember a time I would not dare keep a bottle of peanut butter in the house. Funny how , if you work at it, you can have a mind change, and a good positive one.

One thing I did not know. If I drink decafinated iced herbal tea, it is considered my water. I have been drinking lemon water or just plain water, ever day, today I brought decafinated peach iced tea with some fresh mint and some stevia for sweetener.. A good change, for me.

Wishing everyone a great weigh in. Remember, you are all worth it.. Hang in there.

SO close to 100!

Well - whatever I've been going through the last couple weeks seems to have ended this week! I lost 1lb on Tuesday and today down 2.5 more!!!:carrot:

Today is my 210th day with MRC for a total of 96.5lbs gone and we did measurements... drum roll please... 77 & 3/4 inches gone!! My ribbon is taller than me! I had to do the calculation to see how tall it was and if you know someone that is 6'5" tall... I've lost their height in inches!!! Holy Moly! Really? I'm kind of in awe at this point in time. So I have lost 13 inches in 30 days - which my counselor said that my body was probably playing catch up with my weight loss and that's why my weight stalled a bit but I lost a lot of inches. Not sure if I can squeeze out 3.5 more lbs next week to get to the 100 lb board but I know the first week in November, I will signing it!

I want to thank you all for being there for me and for everyone! I know I've been absent from time to time on here but I think about everyone on here everyday and appreciate everything!

Patzi: Congrats on the loss! Seems like maintenance is working for you or better yet, you are working mainenance! Truely an inspiration and I can't wait to join you.

Nicole: Welcome back! Glad you stopped by to say hi. Hope things are going well for you.

Tami: I think doing this collage kind of put things into perspective for me. Definitely going to make a couple copies and post them in my office, in my closet and maybe even in on the fridge! I have a 10 year gap between 1999 - 2009 so I'm going to try to dig out some pictures and add to the collage.

bigdog: thanks for the tidbits for Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving is usually pretty quiet. It's usually just me and my mom because my brother and SIL always go to a huge buffet with her family. So I know I can make things OP and not indulge. My center had a recipe for pumpkin pie - but now I can't find it, so I'm going to have to ask for another copy. Once I get it, I will post it on here.

Rocki: I'm newer to the group but welcome back! Good luck with the program.

Alright - I have to focus and get back to work! Have a great weekend!

GO HOGS! BEAT OLE MISS! WOO PIG SOOIE!

Tami, I agree about eating out- too much is out of your control. I had way too social of a weekend last week and it took me all week just to get back to where I was last Friday morning. In all, I lost .5 this week, which I am having a hard time not feeling bad about. At least no gain, but not good enough for all we have to put into it. I simply can't eat/drink off plan on the weekend and still lose. I think the lower carbs makes you retain water like crazy when you do go off. I did have them do my body composition today and that was good news - of the 11 pounds NO lean muscle loss. I've been concerned about that because that's one of the causes of re-gaining. This weekend I have another big social thing but I am NOT going to eat off plan. Not worth it.

Hi..
Has anyone had a problem accessing this forum? I have tried many times today, but it says error in database, and I hit refresh and nothing until now.I did get on early this morning when I reported my weigh in.

Candy congrats to you on weight loss. I am most interested in the pumpkin pie recipe when you get it.. I have not received any holiday recipes as of yet.

My center has a fashion show tomorrow, and I was asked to participate in it, but with working and all,Saturday is not a day I feel like driving anywhere. Need a veg out day to rest up. They asked me to at least go and have some fun,but I declined this time.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening..

Way to go, Candi!! woo hoo!!
I'd love to have the pumpkin recipe! i made the MRC cookbook egg custard and the cinnamon cookies tonight. seems like on the weekend when i'm not working, i always want some desserts! so figured they were OP and i could eat them. i need to take the protein bars and cut them in quarters and hide them! with only one 1/4 available at a time! plus keep busy so i'm not thinking about food..... i really want to get rid of a couple more lbs by next weigh in!

PamBlue 10-22-2011 05:08 PM

I just started this the beginning of October and did pre-conditioning for a week, then started on the program. I've lost 12 pounds already and 19 inches I think. I'm extremely pleased. This forum is very motivational and inspirational.

Candi--your progression of weidght loss in your face was awesome. You need to put that as your new pic on the forum!

saw this on another menu site... great recipes. found the mashed "potato" recipe in there using cauliflower. you can even sign up and they'll email you recipes. heres' the link:

Here is a blog site that has MRC recipes
http://mrcrecipes.blogspot.com
it has recipes put in categories based on ingredients.

Hi !
I am brand new! I just had my free consultation today and am hoping to start the program on Monday... I have an 11am appointment.
I am definitely nervous, but excited at the same time. I need to lose 51lbs.
I know that the preconditioning is pretty rigorous, but it seems that there are a lot of great recipes out there for later on.
My one question is... because some people said "diet"... do we need to use products with a lot of chemicals? I don't like aspertame or artificial sweeteners. Will this be a problem?
Also, anyone doing the program that has children?
How are you able to cook for yourself and your husband and have things for the kids? Do you just make things separate? I believe someone said something about custard with a protein pack. I don't think I should be giving that to my children.
Any thoughts?
