Want to congratulate you on your loss. You sound very confident in your challenge and I am glad for you..

Thanks Patzi, i really appreciate all your suggestions and motivational tips! we all appreciate as much help as we can get from a successful "loser" ;)

snicker doodles are a success!!!!! :-) yum

I made the snickerdoodles this am and They are SOOOOOOO Good. just like oatmeal cookies!!!!
made 2 servings.
2 pkgs vanilla creme pudding mix
1 package of wonderslim oatmeal w/ apples (got a sample from Diet Direct) it's 1/2 cup. you can use 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal BTW, info for Wonderslim oatmeal (130 cal, protein 12 g, fat 1.5g, carb 19 g, sugar 3g)
2 beaten eggs
1 TB cinnamon or more (if you like cinnamon alot add more!)
mix and drop on cookie pan
bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. makes about 21 balls (i made them small about 1")
(we are supposed to just have this for breakfast....)

another recipe i had cut and pasted awhile back but havent tried yet is:
Brownie Bites – suggested by SouthernGal08
(2 servings)

Take 2 packets of the Double Chocolate pudding (vanilla creme works great too) and pour into a bowl. Take out one or two spoonfuls of the dry powder and set aside. Mix the pudding with just a little water - enough to make it stick together so that you can shape it with your hands. Roll the dough into bite-sized balls in your hands, then roll into the dry powder you set aside. Yummy!

Sometimes I mix the chocolate pudding for the center, then roll it into a little bit of the vanilla creme dry powder! Very tasty

One pound leads to two, etc. so I want to be 5 pounds under goal, and now I am 4.

I am not on facebook, so I asked my friend to post for me... She sent me your posting and your picture and my goodness, it is something. You should be so proud. You deserve the recognition for sure.

Congrats to all those that lost weight.

Patzi, when you do the Medi Quick, do you also drink the HNS during the day or just do the shakes for breakfast and lunch and then a regular meal?.

Bigdog...

I am doing the shake for breakfast& lunch. These shakes really do a job on my stomach.. Must be the artificial sugar.. I never took these unless I was on a plateau,or gained two pounds. However, I was told I could take an HNS in between, but I elect not to . There is so much protein in the shakes, I am going to try and do without HNS. We will know Tuesday whether it worked or not. I could have done the green menu, vs. the shakes, but I feel the shakes work faster, and my daughter and friends are coming in Tuesday, so wanted to be where I should be. If I want to go out and have a glass of wine or whatever, want the 5 pound wiggle room to do it.. Hope this answers your question. Have a nice day.

One two occasions I have done a one-day thing with shakes or creamies only till dinner. I put 3 in a big container with ice then sip on it all day till dinner. The ice melts during the course of the day, which makes it last. I also drink lots of water all day. I don't weigh every day, so I don't exactly know how effective this is, but I have had good losses the next WI both times.

I also hate to tell people. I feel my friends think of me as obsessed and always on a diet. And my husband has seen me go up and down, try, succeed, struggle, regain. I feel ashamed. But every time I tried to lose without telling him, I did not stick with it more than a few weeks. I felt dishonest. This time I explained all my feelings to him. He keeps his mouth shut and lets me control what I eat. I don't serve any of those recipes wit supplements to him, we just eat plainer, simpler food. I have not told anyone else, though, and don't intend to.

Hi ladies! Happy Saturday!!

Well, it is that "candy" time of year again :( Those of us with kids know what a challenge this can be...but I intend to have other things in my mouth at all times....like sugar free candies, gum, etc.... They are used to handing mommy the items they don't like...and I always ate them...NOT this time!

I am really working hard this week at staying stricly OP...I have 12lbs to go until my personal goal is reached, and I want to get there!!

I drove 45 minutes in pretty bad weather for my WI last week...it was our first real snow of the season, and the visibility was not great. Anyway, I lost 1lb...and was a bit frustrated with myself:( Risked my life for confirmation of 1lb!! LOL crazy....

Well, hope you all have a great weekend and a happy Halloween! Stay strong, ladies...:grouphug:

thanks Camaswa and Patzi,
some days i really don't feel like eating real food (get tired of eggs or salad, etc.) :-) so will do the shakes for breakfast or lunch especially on busy work days when i'm slammed. i have protein shake powder and also the chocolate pudding/shake mixes...guess i could use either of those. i get kind of confused w/ what is a meal replacement or a creamy HNS?
thanks for the info! :-)

yeah, people hate when you tell them about a diet. the funny thing is the two people that started on MRC and told me about it have both quit! one lost 10 lbs and one lost 21 lbs. one was on the diet where you take the HCG drops...she has now gained all her weight back and more. she doesn't even mention MRC at all to me and said she joined a gym and would never limit her food again. the other girl who lost 21 lbs when i texted her i lost 3 lbs this week, texted me back that she was pigging out and didn't care if she gained. LOL, not funny but oh, well. so neither of them want to know anythng about my progress so....anyway, my husband is a huge support! and you guys are awesome! i do have people tell me i look great and a few said i've lost weight but they don't know how i'm doing it....

Bigdog (and everyone following along)..I'm ordering my drinks now (going through Amazon b/c no tax and free shipping and had to order other stuff anyway). I'm going to get the Fuzzy Naval and probably the lemonade or fruit punch (not positive yet).. I would love to find the chicken soup for a good price. Still looking for that. They also have a chocolate truffle..have you tried that? Sounds yummy.

camaswa 10-30-2011 10:21 AM

My center said the shakes (premixed) count as a meal replacement when you have 2 at once, and as a creamy when you just drink one. It's confusing: would that mean any creamy could count as a meal replacement if you use 2? I dunno. It's hocus pocus anyway. The important thing would be steady protein all day and low carbs. I wouldn't do this very often. But to get a grip, break a stall, or just for a change of pace once in a while, I think it's ok.

i haven't tried Amazon...i'll have to ck their prices. Diet Direct has sales all the time and i get free shipping when i order $49 and i get two free samples. the delivery comes in 2 days! can't believe how fast :-) i like the Wonderslim variety packs of the shakes/puddings and variety pack of protein bars. i'll have to try the Nectar lemonade...the Chocolate Truffle sounds really good but wasn't sure if that would count as a clear or creamy HNS...
For the Chicken soup, could you just use cup of soup or just the bouillon? it wouldn't have the protein but it's very low in calories... or maybe add the bouillon to the packets? to make more and still get the protein?

thanks for the info, very good to know. i asked at the center and my counselor said he didn't know anything about Medi quick -- anyway, he told me to ask the "B" when i asked her, she said if i did that, then she'd have to pull me off the meta-slim green menu and then start me on a whole new diet plan. then started blah blah blahing about cortitrim and other pills, i wanted to say WTF? pardon my french. LOL! so i just come to you guys for info. one time i asked her about the Veggie burgers i saw in the grocery store and she said NO, you are not on the vegetarian diet and do you want to be? i asked them the other day about pumpkin puree and they freaked...said it was 35 cal. wow. we can have squash and i figured it was similar but guess not...anyway, i will stay OP and follow the rules but no pills, no way :-) i would do the Medi quick every once in awhile like if i know i'm going to be on the road ...or if i just happened to go out and eat and had cocktails. (to redeem myself) haha
