  • Nicole, you look so great! You look super skinny!

Keystonemama, good luck to you on your journey!
  • Nicole..
You look so beautiful and so slim.. I am soooo happy for you.. Glad your birthday was all you expected, and be proud of yourself, Nicole, you are an inspiration to many.

Want to congratulate all that made it thru a plateau, and to all that lost .

I am a nurse, and I will not take any supplements that center tells me relative medical situations. Boxerlady, if doctor said no, I would listen to him/her, as the consultants have no medical training..

Wishing everyone a great evening and I will be back tomorrow after weigh in.

    Wow, Nicole, gorgeous!!
  • Hey Gang..

I've been MIA for a few days. It was a real tough weekend.. emotionally. There was a family emergency this weekend and I was at the hospital Saturday night from about 10pm - 2:30am, went home slept a little, up at 6am and back at the hospital at 8am on Sunday. Then I was there all day until about 5:30pm when they finally discharged my mom. Sunday, I ate breakfast and packed some HNS and a meal replacement bar. I was able to eat dinner Sunday evening at home.

Everything is going to be fine but now I have a new roommate... my mom. So in my previous post when I said I was single and lived alone, I'm no longer alone. This is a temporary situation but she will be living with me for a couple of months. She said she wants to eat what I'm eating so hopefully she can lose some weight without going on the program. With that said, I'm going to try to stick to my rule of not buying anything that is not OP. She does eat these peanut butter cookies - usually as a midnight snack. Good thing about that, I really don't like them. If that's the only thing I buy for her, then I will be just fine.

I will be going for a WI in a few hours.. hoping the stress hasn't caused me to stall. I'm SO close to the 50lb board and I want to sign that thing this week!

Anyway - Jen mentioned printing pics.. I've attached my front/back covers of my MRC notebook. I change the pictures up every couple of weeks and add different things to it. The ladies at the center love to see what I come up with next... I think they are actually fighting over who gets to see me when I come in

Mariah gave great advice - create your own boards! Maybe you don't have to sign your name on them - but decorate them with the date and pounds lost and add pictures to it. Then you will have a collage of your journey. I have my "inches lost" ribbons hanging on my office wall. Today is my 81st day - just 9 more days and I will get another ribbon! Cannot wait! I also keep my stones on my monitor at work.

Nicole - you look absolutely AMAZING! Happy Belated Birthday!

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats to all the "losers"!

I hope everyone has a great OP week!

  • Hi everyone..
Weighed in this morning and lost .4 pounds, making me under the 5 pound goal for maintenance.

I am happy with this as I ate out, using the fat and carb blocker and this week on maintenance I added the following, but not the full amts.

    Walnuts
    home made oatmeal cookies
baked oatmeal with nuts this time and fruit
    1 soy sausage patty.

Someone mentioned a counsultant told them not to do heavy weight lifting, I think that is what was said, until towards end of losing. I have to disagree with that. I walk every night for a good hour , brisk walking , 7 days a week, however, when I went on stabilization, I started doing weights for upper arms and bottom inside of arms, as there is such loose skin and wrinkles. I wish I had started this at the beginning, as this is not a good looking thing. I do weights every day, and am up to 60 per day, so hopefully it will tone the area. Just my opinion, does not mean I am correct, but for me, wish I had started at the beginning of my challenge with toning.

    Candi...
I sure hope all turns out well for you and your weigh in turns out the way you want.

How kind of you to share the front and back covers of MRC notebook.. Great job, for sure. This is one of the reasons, among many that you are so disciplined and on your way to your goal.

  • @ Candi- you are amazing and strong. You are such a beacon of light for me on my adventure. You can make it through this! Prayers are with you and your mom!

@Patzi-Congrats! I so hope to join you one day on maintenence.

Cravings are nasty today....they want to win, but i'm not letting them! I bought a size 16 jeans that are super cute and hung them outside my closet...those are my goal and motivation for now..lol
  • What a GREAT day!
Well, I was feeling a little down earlier when I typed my post but now I'm beaming!

Went to the center, signed in and everyone commented on how great I'm looking. Then one of the newer consultants grabbed my file (I was the only one waiting) but then she asked Allison, the center manager, if she wanted to speak with me about the things they had talked about earlier. I got a little worried and said "oh no, am I in trouble?" They laughed and said, absolutely not.

When Allison finished up and called me back, I said, "just great, I haven't been in the principals office in a LONG time." Allison laughed. Then she told me all the consultants have been talking about me and how great I am and I am their model client. I was surprised. She went on and on with the compliments from everyone and they want to feature me in July. I've always wondered what the board is when I walk in and see someone on there - it shows how much they have lost, inches & pounds, and pictures. I'm going to be THAT person in July! She said they usually pick someone that is in stabilization or toward the end of their weight loss journey but I guess the consultants have all been talking about me for a couple months. They are even going to pay me! $25 in Metabucks! Yah!

I have to come up with 5-10 things that keep me motivated, OP and what habits I have changed.

After all that and talking about my weekend.. we went to the scale room... I was so nervous because I wasn't sure with all the stress what my body was thinking. Well, it was thinking good things... I lost 3lbs over the weekend! I'm only 1/2lb away from the 50lb board! Allison asked when I would be back. I laughed and said possibly tomorrow just to see if that .5 is gone! But more than likely, it would be Friday. I'm going to try to make it to class tonight - Nutritional Labels 101 but I'm sure that .5lb won't be gone by then.

Thank you guys for all your support and all the kind words!

****I'm using the Edit function - but don't want to really change what I typed above - After I submitted this post, I went to update my ticker - to 277.5 but then did the math in my head, which I'm not great at, and that is a 4lb loss. I called the center just to make sure 277.5 was the number and it is!!!!!!!!!!! I lost 4lbs so I should have signed the 50lb board! I'm going back up there later tonight and signing it!!!! YAH! I think I may try to do a cartwheel.. ok maybe not.. but definitely dancing a jig!!!
  • Nicole, you look awesome in your dress! Happy Birthday!!!!

Yay, Candi!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! Can't wait to see you update your avatar (signing the 50 lb. board).

Patzi, Congrats on maintenance! I hope to be like you one day soon.

tredican, Stay strong! You are stronger than any craving that may come your way.
  • Candi,

I am SO thrilled for you. You are an inspiration in so many ways.
  • I'm heading to The Great White Way in the morning. I'm worried about going totally off plan in a major way.

But part of me knows whatever happens I can deal with when I get back.
  • Ok gang! I went back up to the center after work to sign the board and get my stone.

I just updated my avatar And yes, I got my hair colored to hide the grey.. and I straightened it! well, I used the flat iron this morning. I'm VERY low maintenance so this was a task for me. But everyone loves it! I probably won't use the flat iron everyday and when I don't, it shrinks up about an inch with the curls.

Hope everyone is having a great week!
  • Awesome work Candi!!!! Great work!!!! You are a great motivation!! I am on my 3rd week and I have gained 2 lbs. (TOM)!!!! Hopefully I will loss it and some more when I weigh in on Saturday. But I am so proud of you!! You go girl!!!!!

You are such an inspiration! I have been dinking around the last couple of months and finally, am getting back on track. I am very excited to WI tomorrow morning. I know that scale is going down! For the past couple months I have been wavering between 35-44 lbs. I think I will surpass this tomorrow! I also started using Phentatrine (sp?), and I think it's getting me through. I will update you all tomorrow!
  • So, between the end of school year craziness and 2 weeks of vacay, I have 8lbs to lose! Back to meta-balance for me. So good to know that I know what to do. I wish I would have paid attention when it was 3lbs, though - not looking forward to the next few weeks! Wish me luck!
