Default Good number to look for at first weigh in?

Hey! I am a newbie to the diet. I began last thursday and i have 50 pounds to lose. I read A TON of things on here about the program and decided to join. I go in tomorrow for my first weigh in and I was wondering what to expect as far as first weeks loss on the preconditioning diet. I feel like i am eating ALL THE TIME and a ton of food on the preconditioning diet. Did anyone else feel like that? I have been weighing the food so i know that i am not over portioning but i still struggle with fitting in all the food they want me to eat. I look forward to posting and getting responses! Good luck everyone!

I would try to NOT look at the weight loss so much at first and instead think of your body changing habits and getting used to that preparing to lose weight. My weight loss was very gradual and very slow....perhaps you will be different....but in the end you WILL lose the weight....takes a lot of persistence sometimes. Not meaning to discourage you in any way....just help keep a sense of possible reality. I go on stabilization Thursday....it WILL work over time.

I also have about 50 pounds to lose. I didn't not lose after the a week of pre-conditioning but I did lose 4 pounds after 3 days on the yellow menu.
Good luck...

from what i've noticed its the people who are very heavy who lose large amounts weekly. or those who have a lot to lose. mine has been slow, about 2 lbs a week. in the begining i would be able to have a few cheats here and there and still have a loss, but now its getting harder and i really need to follow the plan 100% to see a loss, even with exercise. i didn't even have to exercise in the begining to lose, but maybe if i would have i would have averaged a higher loss rate.

My week of pre-conditioning gave me a 5.5 lb loss.

I totally agree with you skinnyby25, I have noticed the same thing.
If there is a lot of weight to lose it seems that you lose more weekly.
I had around 30lbs to lose and I have just barely been losing 2-3lbs.
The holidays really got to me, and I'm having a hard time totally staying on program. My birthday was this weekend and I decided to eat off plan again.
I was already hitting a plateau and can't get back totally on program.
I gotta get my mind together and get focused. The small cheats are now affecting me. sexyrene
