Back online!

Hello All,
Due to computer problems I have been unable to use my laptop. I have missed you all. My puppy broke the charger and I found out that I could not find this particular one anywhere! Finally went to a computer repair store and found one, they gave it to me for 1/2 price. I think they felt sorry for me since I came down with bronchitis and had trouble breathing.
Wow, had pages to catch up on! You ladies rock!
Good news is that with all that stuff going on I lost 2 pounds overall. Gained 1 in the begining and lost 3. When I challenged myself to rethink my ways of dealing with stress I never thought I would have so many chances to practice that!
I am proud of all of my online friends that have stuck with the plan through cheats, plataues and the junk that life throws at you. Remember that you are already fabulous, strong and beautiful. You are just trying to give the world a glimpse on the outside how you are on the inside. Lucky World! How sad for the world if we continued to hide our light? Otherwise, everyone we come into contact with, their lives would have been a little dimmer and empty and they would have never know why.
You all inspire me.

Thanks everyone for the support on the weigh in issue. I think having an official "at home" weigh in is a great idea! Thinkin about getting hubby to hide the scale and have him weigh me once a week (or at least get the scale out for me....lol) in between my center weigh in. I have found that if you are tempted it is better to just remove the temptation than to try and fight it all the time.

Everyone have a great OP day and those of you just getting started, this program does work - just trust it.

THANKS for the inspiration! I really needed that before I head to work today!

After wieghing in with a loss I ask myself, how much more could I have lost if I hadn't cheated. I, unfortunately, have not experienced a gain. I say unfortunately because I think that if I had a gain it might hit me that I can't cheat. I am 1 lbs away from the 20 pound board. I am hoping to sign it on Thursday!
I have really cut down on wieghing myself at home, that only seems to perpetuate the cheating.
Has anyone else been attending the behavior modification classes? I am really not getting much out of them, but do enjoy hearing the personal stories of those who are attending.

I have attended 2 of the 'finding the connections' classes and honestly haven't taken much away from them. I doubt that I'll be going to any more of those. But like you say, it's nice to network too.

Hi everyone! So reading these forums is what made me decide that i should do this program.. ive struggled with my weight up and down for the past 3 years.. since i started dating my fiance actually! haha* I saw the advertisement in the paper and thought WOW 30 pounds in 10 weeks?? Really??:dizzy: So.. i joined Saturday the 6th.. made it through 1 week of preconditioning which was tough.. i was SO sleepy every day for some reason.. Went in for the food instruction class..stocked up on all my goods..and started the MetaSlim Day1 menu on Monday.. it is TOUGH... the first day lunch i was miserable.. i hate cottage cheese and find it hard to eat SOOO man veggies..i move on to my next menu Friday and i cant wait.. a little more flexible.. someone told me of a recipe to help me get through and its WONDERFUL.. i mixed 12 oz cottage cheese with 4 oz water and Hidden Valley Ranch mix packet and blended it to make Ranch dressing..its SO great.. lots of protein and i was eating cottage cheese and loving it!! Great on salads and for veggie dip! My two questions are: 1) How quickly did you start losing weight? on average im wondering when everyone hits the 10 or 15 pound mark.. Im down 4 pds which is ok.. im ready to see more.. i know, im impatient :dizzy: 2) Is it healthy to take so many pills?!? I end up taking 28 pills a day.. thats crazy.. can your body handle it?? im a little concerned.. Just got MRC-6 today...they call it "liposuction in a bottle".. feedback on it?? Thanks guys!!

Welcome!! I hit the 10 pound mark, if I can remember, about 3-4 weeks in. I'm not positive about that. I just remember the big inch loss after 2 weeks OP (19 for me). I take a total of 34 pills per day so I totally feel you on that, but honestly I've gotten use to them. That may sound silly but it's the truth. I don't gag or anything. As far as MRC-6, I've heard it called that too. All I know is my inch loss is amazing and I take both MRC-6 and Cortitrim. After 4 weeks of OP, I had lost 32.5 inches. I'm anxious to see what my inch loss is next week after 8 weeks! Good luck and you're doing awesome!

I used to hate cottage cheese and little tips like the ranch dressing really help. I have also mixed it with the strawberry banana jello, throw it in the blender and it is really good. Also when you can have a creamy HNS, mix it with the lemon chiffon pudding. That is my new favorite. I have also just mixed it with a dry HNS packet. I haven't done the ranch dressing, but will make that soon!

It is quite a few pills to get used to; I have added some and then stopped some. I have been out of the MRC 6 for the past month--I do believe it enhances your inch loss, but think 'liposuction' is not quite correct and I still had inch loss even without taking the MRC 6.

I have averaged about 3.5 pounds a week while on program so that 30 pounds in 10 weeks is quite possible.

Good luck from a fellow Floridian! You will do great!

Yes, I know what you mean. I only weigh in once a week, Wednesday. When I did the program the first time, I cheated on Wednesday. I still tried to make better choices than I did before the plan but still wasn't OP. I'm going to work on that. My family loves Mexican too and that can be costly in the weight department.

:welcome: FSUprincess. This program does work. It still takes time and work but if you keep with it, you will see results. There are alot of pills but as someone else said, you get used to it. Keep up your good work and congrats on 4 pounds. That is super:cp:!

No MRC 6

Congrats to all who are doing so great OP.

I have seen several people talk about the supplements that are available and everything, well all the centers in CO are out of MRC6 until a week from Friday at the earliest. I have been taking it since I started the program, so it will be interesting to see how my inch loss compares this month to last month. I started taking the Corti Trim a week ago, so maybe there won't be much of change without it for a week. I'll keep you all posted.

Picked up the Now Cider Vinegar Diet Formula at Natural Grocers for less then $11.00 for 180 capsules. The ingredients are comparable and since money is an issue for me, I am going to try it for the next month and see if there is any difference. If you try it, make sure it is the diet formula since there is a similar product with different ingredients. Off to get my tire fixed.

We just got it in stock at my center. They were really suggesting I take the MSM as well. For both it was like $55.00. Went to the health food store and got the MSM and the equivalent of the MRC6 for $23.00. I know that the supplements is where the centers make their money, but we have had a lot of extra bills lately so I just can't justify any more MRC money!

Welcome FSUprincess! When I first started the program, I was averaging about 10 lbs a month. As I lost more weight and had less to lose, that dropped to about 8 lbs a month because there is a smaller difference between the calories you are consuming and the calories your body is burning at a lower weight. It's a great program, though. Once you get through the first two menus, your choices will open up. MRC-6 is the only pill I buy from the center. I also take flax, a multi-vitamin, and calcium, and I get those pills elsewhere. I do like the MRC-6 a lot, though.

I have a bit of a confession. On Monday, I was in a politically difficult situation where one of my major professors treated me to lunch...at a sushi bar. I knew this was an off-plan venture, but I didn't want to rock the boat or seem like an ingrate so I got the lunch special Bento Box knowing that it was going to set me back three days and that I would probably put on some water weight pounds from the sticky rice and the soy sauce. I was okay with that and immediately got back on plan with dinner and have followed the plan perfectly since then. What has been frustrating is that my Bento Box unleashed a flurry of cravings that I've been fighting since about an hour after I had the sushi. Lunch tomorrow will mark my 9th meal (isn't that the magic number for getting back in the zone?), and I am so hoping the cravings will dissipate. Equally disappointing is that I really didn't enjoy the meal. All I could taste was salt.

I totally agree...I went off plan a couple of weeks ago for at least one meal for about three days in a row. It was like I had to "detox" again. I had to go through the cravings and hunger all over again. As long as I stay on plan, I really don't seem to have many of those cravings. And looking back, the food I ate really wasn't that good.

Hello everyone, well I did not have enough time to pack a lunch today! Any ideas of where I can eat. I am on the beige MetaSlim Plus Menu. Thanks!
Have a wonderful day!:o

Life happens doesn't it? You did the only thing you could do. Just get back on the wagon and get on plan. Don't beat yourself up over it. That tends to make matters worse. You know you can follow this plan. You should be proud of yourself and how much you have accomplished so far.:dust:

I had my first wi (again) and lost 7 pounds. I know it was water but it sure does make those clothes that were feeling tight feel a little better. Anyway, good week. BUT I have several "social" things to attend starting tonight so I'm alittle worried...but I will do my best to make good choices! Hope everyone has some good wi's this week!

Are you thinking restaurant or grocery store? My choices in that situation would depend on what is close by. I have gone to Burger King for the grilled chicken salad and apple 'fries'. Sitdown restaurants are a little easier, salads with grilled chicken or cheese and skip the dressing.

From the grocery store, you could get hard cheese, already boiled eggs, low sodium deli meat, head to produce and pick up a piece of fruit and cucumber or some veggies pre-cut. I have also been able to stay pretty well on plan doing this--even at Target by shopping their frozen food selection.

I also bought the shakes for this very reason, keep a pouch here at work.
