I think I'm in a bit of a plateau type thing...not really. I've gained and lost the same two pounds for now three weeks. I did Metaquick last week and on the first weigh in I lost 2 lbs, but when I went for the second weigh in I gained it back. I'm very frustrated and feel like giving up, but I know in my head I should press on. I feel thankful for what I've lost, but when I see others who have lost 25 or more in the same amount of time, I'm wondering if this is a realistic plan for me. Does anyone else feel deprived? I really feel like if I eat ANYTHING off plan that I will gain weight, and that is very frustrating. I know the end result will be worth it....but the cravings are horrible. Especially when I smell something that my kids or husband are eating. Any words of wisdom from veterans here?

I am on day 3 and had my first WI today. I lost 2 pounds since day 1 or 3.5 pounds since my free consultation. I am so looking forward to the change in the day 5 menu even though it isn't significant, it is a little bit more :)

Pondhopper - I do know that when you follow it, it works! When I was originally on the program, I followed plan exactly for the first 6 months and lost slowly but consistently. It does take a lot of commitment and for me, a lot of planning ahead, to avoid eating something I shouldn't. Keep doing what you are doing, and you will keep losing. And talk to someone at your center about your cravings (they say Cortitrim helps) and temptations. Oh yeah -- have an extra HNS when you're craving or tempted to have something you shouldn't... it does help. Hope this helps!

I have got to quit weighing myself so much! I seriously think I have a problem....LOL!
My problem is that my mood is affected by what my weight is each time. Also my food decisions are affected. If I show a big loss...then I think that I can reward myself "a little cheat won't hurt anything, I've already lost this week." If I don't lose, then i think why am I doing this? I could just eat what I want and not lose. Does anyone else have this problem? After my weigh in tomorrow at the center, I am going to make a commitment to trust the program and just weigh myself maybe one time in the week. I go to a "satellite" center and they are only open one day a week, on Wednesday. So maybe one weigh in on Sunday on my own. I just don't think I could go cold turkey. Also, I am going to start the enhancer tomorrow to give myself a boost. Anyone that is taking this do you notice any side effects? |

Thanks everyone. This is the longest I've stuck with any plan ever so I should feel glad. I think I just need a renewal boost to get motivated again. One the bright side, I was looking at my old doctor records and graphs. I haven't weighed this [I]little[I] in 4 or 5 years. That is certainly something to celebrate so I believe this program works. I won't give up. I just get weak sometimes. Thank you all for the encouragement and tips.

So how little is your cheat/treat? Are you totally in control and happy afterwards or do you teeter on the edge and start thinking about the next cheat and the next. My family and I go out to dinner on Friday-often to a Mexican restaurant; I weigh in on Friday. First 2 times, totally on program, well then I thought that I could have chips/salsa/cheese dip. Now I am eating and enjoying this big time. My husband was playing around with his phone and takes a picture of me. It stopped me dead in my tracks, first what I looked like and secondly as I thought, 'what if someone from my center would see me'! So now on Fridays after I weigh in, I make the broccoli cheese soup, or maybe I will throw a tsp of parmesan cheese on my veggies, or my all time favorite the lemon chiffon pudding blended with cottage cheese. I just feel like I am eating something really special. Oh, and I decided that Mexican restaurant, is temporarily closed for me! |

I used to treat myself with a trip to Applebee's on Friday and get the sirloin with salad and steamed veggies. Of course, I had to pick out the carrots and take my own salad dressing, but it really gave me something to look forward to during the week and was my way of rewarding myself for sticking to the plan during the week. Oh my I thought you were me for a second!!! :lol: I am the exact same way about the "well I lost...so I can reward myself" and I had to tell myself that I will not weigh til I go back to MRC on Friday. I was weighing myself 3-4 times daily!! Not good! I said on the Stabilization page that I asked my consultant at WI today if they would let me go on Stab 4 lbs early because I have been psyching myself out trying to get these 4 lbs off for the last 2+ weeks. They let me and agreed that it would do me good...mentally. Hope the best for you! ~Shannon |

Newbie here! My first post
Hi everyone! So reading these forums is what made me decide that i should do this program.. ive struggled with my weight up and down for the past 3 years.. since i started dating my fiance actually! haha* I saw the advertisement in the paper and thought WOW 30 pounds in 10 weeks?? Really??:dizzy: So.. i joined Saturday the 6th.. made it through 1 week of preconditioning which was tough.. i was SO sleepy every day for some reason.. Went in for the food instruction class..stocked up on all my goods..and started the MetaSlim Day1 menu on Monday.. it is TOUGH... the first day lunch i was miserable.. i hate cottage cheese and find it hard to eat SOOO man veggies..i move on to my next menu Friday and i cant wait.. a little more flexible.. someone told me of a recipe to help me get through and its WONDERFUL.. i mixed 12 oz cottage cheese with 4 oz water and Hidden Valley Ranch mix packet and blended it to make Ranch dressing..its SO great.. lots of protein and i was eating cottage cheese and loving it!! Great on salads and for veggie dip! My two questions are: 1) How quickly did you start losing weight? on average im wondering when everyone hits the 10 or 15 pound mark.. Im down 4 pds which is ok.. im ready to see more.. i know, im impatient :dizzy: 2) Is it healthy to take so many pills?!? I end up taking 28 pills a day.. thats crazy.. can your body handle it?? im a little concerned.. Just got MRC-6 today...they call it "liposuction in a bottle".. feedback on it?? Thanks guys!!
