I've got all of my HNS & other things packed and I'm taking my small George Foreman grill and my digital scale so hope to remain as OP as possible. We usually eat out at night at a little seafood place, but I will be definitely going for grilled not fried
Wishing everyone a good week!
Have fun and good luck!

Okay ladies I have a question about food! I have been eating 1/2 of a light english muffin for something different for breakfast and my counselor informed me yesterday it was a no no. Weird b/c even with that I still lost 2 lbs in 4 days but wondering do any of the rest of you eat them or do your counselors tell you the same thing.

I don't see why that would be bad, as long as it's within the 40 calorie limit. If it were me, and I were still losing weight, I would keep eating it if I wanted to. Bottom line, the diet is to lose weight, so as long as it's working, why bother taking something else off your menu? I do a few things that aren't technically OP-- like swapping applesauce for broccolli if I just can't take it anymore (I don't like veggies, and I do that about once a week). I still lose weight, so I'm okay with that because it helps me stay OP the rest of the time.

Still, I don't know why she'd have a problem with your english muffin. It sounds okay to me.

Hi dla Oops...just posted a reply to your "rocks" on Take 29...basically saying thanks for the input...love your idea...I'm sooo getting the rocks today!!!

Hi everyone...crazy week for me. GOT MY BOOT OFF!!! I've been getting Ultra Sound treatments on my foot...I swear it's a miracle...who knew? Probably would be great for your knee, Meemo!

The "successes" and "emotions" shared in "29" Have me in tears this morning...soooooooo inspirational...and touching. ALL OF YOU!!! Newbies...and Returning friends too....I just love a good cry like this!!! My different family members have walked by me and just roll their eyes...smiling of course...they love it when I get back and visit my MRC friends.

Denise your pictures...your blog...what can I say?
Grad...Okay...I'm soooo ready for Metaquick...hmmm...you're probably already finished...I'm starting tomorrow...if you've already done it!!! I figure I have three days before I go out of town.

Besides my BOOT NSV...My doctor suggested I do a "Liver cleanse" then go in for my blood work-up...two months early. So...last weekend...I did my first "Liver Cleanse"...yikes, quite the experience...definitely would consult Dr. first...but, I was amazed with the results. Google it...check out the different cleanses...,I soooooooo would have done this when I was younger. Not often...maybe once a year...but...wow...I felt instantly revived!

ANYWAY...did my blood test...Holy Moly...My blood enzymes are down to the healthy range....25pts....my cholesterol is down 35pts...not quite healthy range yet...but he said keep up the diet for 20 more pounds and we'll test again...and everything else was just about perfect!!! Needless to say...I have been a bit emotional!!! I hadn't realized how scared I was when getting my original results in July!

I do want to thank all of you!!! Your continuous input...and your on-going "educating" are soooooooo important to me!!! You're the best!

I've also reviewed the recipe and HNS threads...for you newbies...always sooo much information there for all of us! I ordered the MRC 6 knock off...have used it for five days...seems to have the same results...so, there you are!!!

Okay...I'm going to dry my "happy tears"...and start on my new exercises that I can do using "BOTH" feet! What a joy!!!!

Ask them why. Seriously - it's 50 calories, right? (At least the light ones I buy are.) If they can't give you a really good logical reason, and apparently they aren't causing you any problems, keep on eating it!
I don't get specific anymore - I just write down "1x 40 cal" on the bread line.

Default Hi!

Just making my first post. Wanted to say "Hi" to everyone. I've been doing MRC since April and have lost 81lbs. I have about 90 to go. I've been struggling lately with eating the same foods all the time but I've done better the last few days. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

Have a great weekend and we look forward to hearing from you!

On a personal note I went in today and am down 2 more lbs. 11 lbs from my goal weight. Although the counselor today discouraged me a bit saying we would need to re-evaluate at that time. I guess we will see what happens but I truly don't want to keep forking over a ton more money! I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Have a great weekend!
Congrats on the loss! When is your time up? The shortest plan they have for a re-sign would be 10 weeks and that seems way too much time/money for what you have to lose. I thought if you were within 10lbs they let you slide a little. Don't let it worry you... just keep on, keepin' on!

Welcome! And GREAT job!!! So, in terms of the food.... take a look over at the recipe thread and see if you can switch it up a bit.

I find your words of encouragment to each other simply amazing. I am so thankful to be here. Since I started I've lost 6.5 lbs- but I know its not always going to be this easy. I figure it's a lot of water weight finally coming off because I haven't drank this much water in probably 6 months. But my spirits are high because of my self control and determination. Also b/c I get to wonderful ladies like you all! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm going on a hike tomorrow...little nervous. First time back in so long! Good luck fellow MRCers!!
Yes, Angel is still here!

Congrats on the loss! Keep it up and enjoy that hike!

Default Missing in Action

Just wanted to check in with all of you, as it seems to keep me motivated, not to mention honest. Maintenance is harder than I thought it would be...no set foods that you eat, like when you are using the food sheets. I need to get back on track and focused and this list helps me to do that. I've finally (after 5 weeks) lost 2 of the 2.5 lbs of my Hawaii liquor weight. This was a tough week, as we had to have our 11 year old lab put to sleep because of a brain tumor that caused her to go blind and become completely disoriented. I spent most of Wednesday in tears and had very little appetite but did manage to eat OP and not pig out like I would have in the past.

Thanks to Lv2ski for posting all of the Thanksgiving recipes on the recipe thread. Our Center had a Thanksgiving tasting last week and used these recipes, which were very tasty and didn't feel like diet food at all, especially the dressing. They also had the South Beach Diet's Faux Mashed potatoes, made with cooked cauliflower and potato buds. Take a look at those if you have to cook or take a dish to Thanksgiving dinner, as there would be at least something to eat OP besides the turkey. I saw Namaste/Denise at the Center when I was there and she is amazing. She looks terrific and is so wise for someone so young (same age range as my kids!). What an inspiration she has been for me and for all of us on 3FC.

I wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Judy
