Good Monday everyone! Well it just occured to me the reason for my recent grouchy-ness and blue mood and overwhelming cravings the other night! TOM is on his way for a visit. Sad as this sounds....I glad that's the reason rather than this whole MRC thing is just turning me into a grouchy ol' lady! :) But I'm kinda getting I also may not see the scale move this week cause of it either...:( Good luck today ladies - I just know you all can do it and have a great OP day! Also good luck for those of you with a WI!

Good Morning! It was a busy weekend here for posts!

ShineOn WOW!!!! Congrats on the 5lbs lost, the 90lb board and the size 10's! I would be on cloud 9! You are doing so well!

MomOfBoys Great job at Valentino's... You made good choices and should be very proud of yourself.

Gma Say you on the news (I did look it up on the web and was able to watch). You look great! I was so happy to see you! I even called my son and husband over to watch! I also read your comment about the lentils. You made the choice you thought was right at the time. Don't feel quilty about that. Also, you mentioned the "lose the guilt" class. Let it go. Don't "should" on yourself, as Ruben would say! And, you are doing just fine! Are you still coming to peer inspiration tonight? I'd love to see you, and give you a hug! I'm pretty nervous too!

Rocki Do what you feel is right. See what 125 looks like, and if it doesn't look/feel right, keep plugging along to 120. You know yourself better than anyone.

jstuckly I love the ranch dressing from the cookbook (you are talking about the one with the cottage cheese, dry ranch seasoning and water right?) It's my favorite!!!!

Well, thank god you aren't just grouchy! There's a reason! ;)

Double up on your water and you can do that B6 flush everyone is always talking about.... but you'll have to ask advice on that one because I always forget how it goes.

If you don't lose this week, you'll have a big loss next week. You never know though, I still tend to lose during my TOM..... Don't let it get ya down!

Good morning everyone!
I am on my way to my second meeting/food class (??) I somehow gained 2 pounds on my first day of this yellow menu. Who knows what my body is doing. Maybe since it was starving, it was holding onto everything I ate! LOL I know that is not it. I just have to remember to take it slowly and know that the human body does some crazy things sometimes, but it will all work out in the end, right? Right?? ;)

I had already consumed 64 oz of water, so i drank a diet rite. (as of this minute, I have had 112 oz of water.)Then i made myself wait until 4:00 for my HNS. I was starving again an hour later and stretched myself to 7:00 for dinner. I blew it when I ate about 6 olives and 2 cubs of cheese at 8:30. :devil:Then I realized when I got home that i missed the dinner bread, so i ate that at 9;30. I am already hungry again!!! I hope this is just psychological. I go to my second class tomorrow and get my instructions for the next menu which I will start on Thursday.

Do not beat yourself up about it. Just keep trying and it will get better.

I am on the yellow menu also and will go WI into day, not really sure how I feel about the yellow menu... I guess like you I will see in a few.... Good luck to you

JSTUCKLY 07-21-2008 02:08 PM

OK went to WI lost 1.5 pounds since Fri. She said I average about 3 pounds a week. So I will go back Thur. or Friday, also I moved to the blue menu. I think that opens a lot more food in the cook book.

Total loss so far is 4.5 pounds

Good luck to you! I was up 1 pound. I knew I would be. They didn't seem too concerned. I know every other diet I've ever been on (especially WW), it took me 3-5 days to see my hard work pay off-and vise versa. I told them I was starving and of course they tried to sell me more stuff. I took the fiber drinks-mostly because I have issues with that so I can always use extra fiber. I guess it worked because i drank it during my meeting and then came home and ate my huge salad for lunch. Now I am sporing a sexy HUGE belly!

I have a question for all of you veterans. How different is the men's menu? I may try to get the boyfriend to join me-he will not take all the herbs and pay money, but if I can get him to see the actual menu, I could stop him from being a "feeder" and join me! He is 6'3" and weighs 275. Could stand to lose 35.

JSTUCKLY 07-21-2008 02:21 PM

It will get better, The blue menu looks better, but I am allergic to eggs, nuts and fish so it make my choices harder, Chicken or Turkey and toast in the am! lol that is why I got the cook book, I have not really tied anything other then the Ranch Dressing.

momofboys 07-21-2008 02:42 PM

Denise - You are so wonderful - always have the right things to say- Thanks!

Shannon - You cracked me out about he sexy belly! :) I feel like that more often than I'd like! As far as keeping you full - I've been making a "slushie" with crushed ice (crushed even finer with my blender) and then adding either crystal light to it or a HNS. It usually works for me - it also makes me think I'm getting something of a treat.

I think I may attempt to make the ranch dressing today - I bought the spritzer kind of ranch but it just doesn't do a thing for me - I made the MRC mayo and I actually like that...so maybe, just maybe I have good luck with something else too! :)
