Lisa, LOL, what a choice! Go to the hotel, the worst thing in the world is being sick and alone to deal with the kids! Hope you feel better SOON!
Beachy, LOOKEN GOOOOOOD! Your ticker says 10 pounds, sweet!!!!
Happy Tx mom, Im going through the start of a divorce. My husband has been out of the home for almost a month now, wow, 3 more days and it'll be a month! Anyways, he dosnet come around too often (hes got to work dont ya know) and all the raising of the boys is on me, 24/7. Yikes.
I told my bible study group this morning. I got some much needed support from women I admire and learn from. I also got some much needed support from some who are divorced and understand the conflict I am going through with what a "good christian woman" (Which I have NEVER been) should do and what I believe, truly, that God is telling me to do, divorce. I cant seem to get enough support!
Im feeling really good today, 100% OP! yay! the scale is moving again!
Be excellent y'all and kick some tush today! xoxoxo missy

Missy~ Congratulations on approaching the overweight mark! Doesn't that just sound so funny to say? lol I need to figure out what weight is that mark for me. I know it's a ways off- BMI started out at 31 or 32.

I'm kicking my own butt! Hope everyone else is kicking theirs too! lol Day 10 and 100% on plan with no cheats- I'm determined to keep the streak going!

I'm having a LOT of tummy growling these past few days. I'm eating like I'm supposed to... wonder what that's all about?

Lightbulb

I saw your feeding schedule (lol) but forget if you're doing every 3 hours or 2 hours? From 8 to 5, I'm going about 2 to 2-1/2 hours to avoid getting too hungry. Strangely, the time I feel most "ravenous" and like I could just keep eating "another course" is at dinner with the L&G. It's like I get real food and it kicks up my appetite a bit... Have you done flavored water with crystal light? I am constantly drinking that throughout the day and evening, and it helps.

Tonight I get a whole carton (2 cups) of eggbeaters for dinner. I cannot imagine how much that will make for scrambled eggs- heaps! I've only used 1/2 carton at most before.

Hey everyone,
Has anybody tried the MF Hot Chocolate? I tried it yesterday and I made the mistake of adding boiling water instead of mixing it with cold & then microwaving. It was very chunky, I wont make that mistake again. Does anybody substitute the MF hot chocolate for another brand that has no sugar added? I did try a chocolate/mint bar today and that is very good, it's almost like a cheat it was so good & sweet.

Dan-How are you? Miss ya! A little while back we spoke of substitiuting V-8 for our vegetables, did you ever do that?

Default Starting Medifast in a couple of weeks

Hi, I plan on starting Medifast in a few weeks.

I want something that I don't have to think about too much and this seems like it fits the bill. My fear is that I will start and end before a month is out because I get so bored with 'diet'. I can't seem to maintain anything for long.

How has everyone else fared with this? I would love some input. I have about 80 - 90 pounds to lose.

Thanks!

Terri

Hi Terri & welcome,
MF is pretty much a no brainer, you just open up the packets 5 times a day, add water and microwave, once a day you have a lean & green meal
(lean protein & veg). I have been on the plan for about 6 weeks now & I'm still OK with it. I'm one who will get bored quickly but I seem to be doing OK. One good thing about MF is that you eat every few hours. By doing this I for the most part am satisifed (hunger wise) through out the day. There are a couple of members here who have had great success over the past few months. Read through September & Octobers discussion started by Djay & you will learn a lot about the plan and of course we are here to answer questions.

Good Morning MFers!

Sorry I have been MIA for a couple of days...Work is crazy! The economy has us working long hours trying to make sure we are keeping our spending in line with what is happening in all the world markets. It's not pretty!

Still OP...YAY! Losses have really slowed as of late. To much stress at work perhaps? I know I am retaining water. I can tell that by my rings. Metabolism is still slow...Not regular at all...but things are moving. I am considering adding the Benefiber back into my diet regardless of the carbs. Someone said that the carbs from the fiber move straight through the digestive sytem without being absorbed by the body...I am starting to think that is accurate. I was loosing more steadily when I took it every day!

The only other change that could be causing water retention is that I started taking Glucosamine/Chondroiten as my doctor recommended. I have no intention of stopping!!! This stuff is a miracle supplement! and you don't even need a prescription! I have been slowly adding more impact to my workout since I have been taking it...and so far my bad knee has had no pain or swelling at all! I'm beginning to dream of running someday! Yikes! Am I taking this healthy living thing to far?

Enough rambling! Have a great OP day!

Hey TBTA! I am sorry, I have been nuts at work. lol. Ironic huh? I don't believe drinking V-8 is considered on plan as I haven't seen it on the list, I know it would be high in carbs for sure. So, No I have not tried that. I personally would rather Eat than drink my veggies. lol. But you can call NS or write them, I know they will gladly let you know. Hope you are well. I have missed you too!

I am Lovin MF as always! It rocks! Hope Everyone is doing super!

Angry

Hi All~~

I'm mad at the scale today... trying not to be negative or discouraged. It's not weigh-in day but I took a peek and only down barely a pound since Monday. But I look and feel thinner all over, and clothes are looser, bra is looser! So, scale... you know where you can go... I've not been off plan at all either.

Got the new bars and the stew! Stew is really really good- the best of the soups so far! And peanut butter crunch bar- good! Carmel crunch is pretty good- the carmel layer on top seems odd to me, like overkill but taste is fine.

Dan~ Do you keep your daily carbs at 80-85? You have done so great on the plan that I would like to hear what you're doing!

Hi Ashley, I do tend to keep my carbs at that level. I mostly only track my carbs on Old Bar days to make sure as I know if I just stay on plan the weight will come off, but when I eat one of the bars I track to make sure not going over and ironically, it's always 80-85 range! Thanks so much.

I LOVE the stew, haven't tried new bars yet, but plan too!

Hey hey all!
Welcome Terri! Ya know, getting bored on this program is up to you! (as is everything in life) But the best part is... you wont want to stop! You'll see such awesome losses that you'll be too excited to stop! Good luck chicky!
Djay, yes, fiber x'ls out carbs... 2gs carbs with 2gs fiber is like no carbs... net carbs is what they call it. If you gotta do it, I say DO IT! no fun being so uncomfortable, right? PLUS, you'll loose more of the, well... waste weight. ewwwwww. (it had to be said) the stuff thats sticking to your intestines... wipe 'em out, you may loose a few just from that!
My wedding ring fell off my finger the other day in the shower while soaping up so I put it on the windowsill. 2 days later, I realized I hadnt put it back on so I went to go get it and now I cant find it ANYWHERE! I wonder if thats a sign? Its a simple white gold band, thats all I wanted, I think it only cost us $150.00! It isnt worth much and considering that divorce is in the near future... I just wish I could find it, it doesnt make sense. Oh well...
Glad to hear everyone is so busy!
I guess I should get to work too...
Trying to find a job in southern CA right now... seeing what they have...
They dont have the same requirments down there as they do up here for massage. It makes it kinda hard because they do city by city requirments. I have to figure out where to move, what the requirments are... ick
Talk with you all soon
Ashley, way to be 100%! You inspire me!
Beachy, hang in there! add water, chew a pickle
Good to see you Dan-O! Woo-hoo! over 100 lbs.!!!!!!!
Today is an awesome day, dont discount it! do something great!

The past few days I've been feeling not-full-of-energy. A little headachy at times, and an almost constant tummy rumbling. I'm staying on plan and eating about every 2.5 hours. It's worse in the morning & mid afternoon, but I'm fine by late evening (just after dinner, up until bedtime).

Plus, like Ashley, I haven't seen the scale move since Monday. Not a single ounce. And it's Friday... and Monday (weigh day) is just around the corner....
