Hi . . .
SSDD -- Snowing, eating poorly; cats still sick -- won't bore you with all the details; just wanted to check-in. See you later. |
Hi Ruthxxxxx,
I got the recipe from the Defragged lady's site before she stopped letting people look at the recipes unless they were her clients. I signed up for her daily tips and she said I could have them for 14 days without buying MF from her but she cut me off after 2 days. It's okay the pictures on her site are still very inspiring to look at her before and after, and she still has some great infomation there. I just prefer to buy MF from MF. nuff said. I have also seen this recipe on this board somewhere, and on the official MF site, It's the 5 pack oatmeal, 1 pack pudding with the splenda and the Davinci Sugar Free syrup etc. So sorry Meowee to hear about your babies, FAB50TX |
Fab, go ahead and post the link to her site. I googled this morning but couldn't find it. I think I'm going to need some inspiration!
Went to my sister's place for dinner last night - my L&G with a bit of deviation. She had sweet potato fries and applesauce for dessert. Nothing too horrible but not really on plan. No scale damage this morning - still 200.5 but no loss either. I am freezing cold lately and am wondering if it's the plan. Of course, being 0ºC out there could be part of the problem! Ya think? I'm going to wrap myself around some nice hot chili for my afternoon snack. |
Hi again . . .
Nothing has changed around here . . . for better or for worse. Since nothing is worse, i think I'll look on that as a good thing. Got a little more eye medication into Purrecious this morning (snuck up on her while she was sleeping). Keep fighting the good fight, gang. See you later . . . :carrot: |
Ruthxxx,
Her website is www.defragged.com, she has lost 100lbs and the pictures are really inspiring, you can see in the before pictures how unhappy she is and the after pics she is smiling. I admire her dedication. Well it rained buckets this morning in Houston and now it's very chilly, finally cool weather. yay! Fab50TX |
Hi everyone! I've read through the posts and I'm amazed at your discipline! In your experiences, is the roughest patch the first weeks? When does it get easier? Does it become habit or do you get SICK of the same old meals?
Sarah, it was interesting reading those old threads. That Mrs Jim really wanted to make her point... Meowee, sorry about your kitty troubles. Interesting photos maya. lettingslender, I've noticed that a co-worker has lost weight, but I feel rude acknowledging that she had weight to lose in the first place. Does that make sense? When people feel more secure, they'll start congratulating you. I was listening to a morning show where they asked, "What would you give almost anything to get?" I thought and thought about what I really want, and the only thing that came to mind is that I want to be thin. I'm going to begin the program Dec 28th, the day after my baby's 17th birthday. I am, however, going to a New Year's Party.... I'm a sucker for alcohol and munchies. That will be day 4 - probably stupid, but I've put this off for a very long time. You are all my inspiration! |
Hi everyone!!!!
Everyone just keep AT it, because this season will indeed be over, and we can all go back to some form of NORMALCY!!!! Michelle, just make it through the season as best you as you can. We all face the same struggles and the same issues, and we aren't perfect, so do your best and keep posting! It really helps! Ms. meowee -- your kitties will get better, and it sounds like Ms. Purrecious is getting some meds into her. This too shall pass! Ms Fab -- is Defragged a "health advisor"? I got spammed by some of them when I joined, and apparently it is against the MF board rules. The way these advisors work is that ANYONE can be an "advisor" -- they just offer some program set-up advice (as if this was hard to do!) and if you purchase through them, they receive free products. So, the more they sell, the less they pay for their own program. Quite the controversy on the boards, and this issue has caused SERIOUS drama in the past. So, I'm not surprised that tips aren't shared unless you are a client! Ms. Ruthie -- you are doing really well during this season. As long as one slip doesn't mean a one-month binge, you'll come out all right!!!! Ms Cam! 14 lbs!!!! You WILL totally make it at LEAST to the un-obese line, for sure. Just keep at it as best as you can. We are all rooting for you! Ms Berkie -- I LOVE reading your posts! Where do you get all the fun icon-thingees (I AM SO COMPUTER ILLITERATE!!!). Glad you're here, and I love reading your posts. I don't think I can ever go to McDo's again, not the least of which is because I had a bad McDo's incident that rivalled my Frankenberry catastrophe of several years ago... Ms. Slim -- SO glad you got quick shipping! I must have a tag on my name that says "MAKE THIS DIFFICULT FOR MS MAYA", because I usually have trouble, for whatever reason, with delivery of stuff...You might want to also try some Capella drops (www.capella.com) because you can add flavors to your shakes and puddings that makes them really nice. The MF says that the drops are a "condiment" and must be regulated, BUT the product info says no calories, no carbs, no fat, no sugar. So I use them freely. I think that flavored SYRUPS are an issue, but I haven't even asked about the drops because, quite frankly, I don't want one of my only joys taken away!!!! Anyways, I've battened down the hatches for our big winter storm, expected to hit tonight/tomorrow. Happily, my new furnace and water heater were installed on Friday, so pipes won't freeze! And, although the shingles AREN'T yet on the roof, a full ice/water shield is, which means that the roof is indeed protected. I asked the guys if they could just PAINT the shingles on, so I could save some $$$, but they weren't too keen! I know that they left their ladders and stuff out on Thursday and didn't put them away, so Monday will be fun watching them dig out from under 40 cm of snow!!!! NOW, you ALL have to realize that I have a CRAP memory, so if I haven't said HI to you personally, I'm really, really sorry. Usually to do these posts, I have to post, re-read the thread, edit, post, re-read the thread, post, edit, and so on!!! Anyone else have this problem? Maya :) |
Good morning from snowy Delta! They weren't kidding when they said it would snow. There's a big drift on my back deck and another at the end of the lane. Somehow I suspect I won't be making it to Church for 8:30! The storm is going to last into tonight and then head for Meowee.
Weight is still 200.5 this morning but I'm expecting a drop for tomorrow's weigh-in. When I get into ONEderland this time, please lock the gates behind me. Thanks for the link, Fab50 - I'll explore later. And thanks for sending us this storm! (Actually I love being snowed in - it's a nice break.) Maya, yes, Monday morning will be interesting when the lads dig out their equipment. I'm glad you are going to be cozy and warm. Michelle, I find the MF shakes and soups pretty boring. However, there's a trade-off because the kitchen stays nice and neat and I spend very little time on meal prep. I think you are wise to wait until Dec. 27 - I sort of wish I had as there has been a bit of slippage. Maria, five pounds in five days is great! You've got the formula. Meowee, batten down the hatches and snuggle in with those furries. We're sending you a storm. Big wave to everyone I've missed. It's time to plan my MFing day. I may plan some sort of comfort supper for my lean and green tonight. Pork tenderloin or chicken? |
Morning All,
Yes miss maya, she is one of those advisors. She asks for your phone number. Due to my odd working hours and my DH's too, can't have anyone calling here. I have not had the ringer on the phone now for many years. Many solicitors call me several times a day, so frustrating when you are trying to sleep. I understand that she is trying to make a living from her Medifast, but I didn't want to subscribe to that. I was just interested in recipes and tips but if I dig deep on the Medifast boards I can find stuff like that. But the pictures she has are still so inspiring, the ones of Genie Francis don't look to me like she has lost any weight, or the other blonde one either. Well I forgot to defrost something for my L&G this morning, I have the vegs and I guess it's either a can of tuna or salmon (packed in water of course) or I might just have a shake and call it a day. 37 this morning in Houston, chilly. Is everyone done with Christmas cards yet! I am still working on them! Fab50TX |
The mf boards now have a clothing exchange, which is something I would like to see on 3FC as well.
I'm having a hard time with the holidays. Not the temptation, that's not even an issue right now. Just with the simple logistics of eating while shopping, wrapping, packing, mailing, shipping, etc. I ended up eating an extra bar yesterday and I was not happy about that. But I was 20 miles from our house, starving, and on a roll shopping so I ate another bar from my purse. I have to plan better. |
Lettingslenderin, clothing exchanges are a great idea but 3FC doesn't allow them just as it doesn't allow selling things. In the past there have been problems so now those posts are just deleted and the member advised of the policy. Some folks still do PM or email each other but advertising on the Forum is a no no.
My power is blipping so I may have to be offline today. I guess I should cook my lean and green this morning so I can heat it on the woodstove if the power goes off completely. I also need to fill the tub for washing and toilet flushing. City folk don't realize that no power means no water for those of us on well water. Stay safe and warm. |
Storm warnings out the 'wazoo' for Nova Scotia . . . but not as bad as what I'm hearing for Ontario. Try to stay warm and cozy everybody. :grouphug: |
15 INCHES of the stuff already. I can't believe it!!! Thank GOODNESS I have a roof now! Although there is some snow blowing into the garage and the new addition. As long as there isn't any melting into the basement, I'll be fine. It is weird, though, to have closed off pretty much the entire house.
I have lovely neighbors who are letting me park in their driveway, so earlier today, I went out to shovel it out. The least I could do...I have an ergonomic shovel that has a bendy part in the middle so you don't get back strain. Well, I was pushing the snow, and the bendy part actually bent in TWO. I broke a shovel. Had to go to the Orange Scourge (Home Depot) for a new one...Never thought I could BREAK a perfectly good, new shovel...sigh... Well, I'm off to shovel again! Maya :) |
Hey ladies!! (I assume we're all ladies.....)
How about this?? I'm starting the 28th, as I said. Can I have bacardi and diet coke on New Year's?? No carbs and all that... Thanks for your response Ruth. I was on Jenny Craig a few years ago and almost died from boredom. I'm afraid of my lack of will. :( On the positive side, I bought a magic bullet today. Oh JOY! Stay strong women, holiday season 2007 is almost over!!! |
Good morning from snowy Delta.
Maya, I have drifts blocking three of the four outside doors of my house so today's exercise will definitely be shoveling. I'll try not to break my shovel! Too funny! Michelle, the good thing about MF for me is that I don't seem to be hungry and feel quite energetic. I have to remind myself to eat. Never thought that would happen. Meowee, I watch CTVHAL a lot and see that the storm is going to happen for you. I hope it's not as bad as it was/is here. Well, weigh-in this morning was 200.5. I'm afraid I had a "comfort supper" last night - pasta with a veggie sauce! I am going to have to stick firmly to the program this week if I'm to get into ONEderland by Christmas. Losing 3.5 pounds in two weeks is not really exemplary, however, I might have gained 3.5 if I hadn't been MFing. No gym this morning unless Ed come to plough me out but shoveling to clear the doors will be a good work-out. Have a great day, Chickies. |
