Who is ready? now is the time to start thinking of where we want to be for halloween. lets make a challenge for our selves, and stick to it!
that was the start of my fall last year, and really never recovered till april of this, so i really need it i want to be in a great place before that time of the year hits.
My personal challenge:
to be in size 12. that will truly be an accomplishment( i have never seen that size, i went from a kid to 14's) that means a weight loss of about 20 lbs. I will still be having my personal trainer at that time, so that is good.
My goal is quite modest compared to other years when I haven't been as realistic. I'm hoping to lose 10 more pounds between now and Oct 31 and that includes my two weeks in Scotland at the end of this month. Hopefully, all the walking I plan to do there will help me at least maintain my weight loss. Still hoping to lose 5 more pounds before I leave on the 20th.
I am ready for some goal setting. I need a 1/2 way point goal, maybe Oct1st, then Halloween. I really want to be down some for a Dr appointment the end of Sept, I use the dr's scale for reality checks, and don't want a big
SCARE
when I get on it.
Oct will be busy for me, I am taking a course, and teaching a couse, for a total of 3 nights out a week, I expect to be stressed out, and want to start Oct in good shape.. Maybe I'll be too tired to eat! Unlikely...
By Halloween:
To have reached some level of sanity!!!
*Down 10 pounds
*exercise 5 days a week. (5 days of walking back up to 3-3.5 or more miles per day) or biking on my Italian 10 racer (that translates to a 35 year old bike) with 2 or 3 days of strong women exercises.
* some sane low to lowish carb WOE
I need some goals to get me on track again. Just starting Atkins over again. Missed about 2 weeks of walking too, so I need motivation. This will hopefully give it to me.
Put me down for 20 lbs by Halloween. I am at 182 right now so that would put me at 162. Might be able to get into those size 14 again by then. I can't remember what that was like!!!
I can't believe I hadn't signed up yet! Duh!!! But I've been planning my strategy!

A consistent excercise program of at least 4 times a week at the gym. Also little "extras" ie., not looking for the parking spot nearest the mall. Hey, every little bit helps, right???

My goals are not too lofty!
1. Be thoroughly on program. No more messing around!
2. Be 15 pounds down.
3. Be moving my round self around more (walking or tapes) at least three days a week.

Are you willing to keep track of our commitments? LOL Cause all I know is that I am truly aiming for 20 lbs by October 31st! I will happily accept 15 LESS than where I am as of tomorrow morning! I would love to have someone keep track of us!
I also have to admit that I will be starting my excercise regiment. SO, I will weigh AND measure tommorow to monitor my results! Best of luck everyone!!!
Oh. And you two probably thought I was kidding, huh? Well, this is what I do for a living, Ladies. I keep track of data and record fluxuations and end-results. (Believe it or not, I actually enjoy it! )
