Hi Again Everybody: Believe it or not I have accomplished a few things today besides playing on the computer LOL. Anne it was Malignant Melenoma on the lower back. It was a mole of a type that is not supposed to go cancerous but fortunately I had one of those weird home accidents, I fell on the soap in the shower, fell out and lliterally scalped my self. Anyway my DH rushed to emerg. for stitches. My daughter was helping me wash the blood out of my hair and said She couldn't beleive the mole was o.k. When it can time for the stitches to come out my dr. was away Thank God! so my DD took me to her Dr. She had the Dr. look at the mole and sent me to have it removed. There were 3 tries at Credit Valley hospital to remove surrounding skin and it was at that point I was sent to Princess Marg. to have the group of lymph nodes removed (the skin drains into the lymph nodes). They did the tests to see which set of l.n. and my skin drains into 3 sets so surgury could not be done. Because I was the only patient that they had seen this in they keep close tabs on me. They also found out that My fibroids were bad ( I new that) but I had on that was so big if it pulled away I would probably have hemoraged to death before I could get to a hospital. They did a complete hysterectomy. I beleive if I hadn't fallen hadn't gone to a differant dr. and most of all my DD speaking up I wouldn't be here today. Needless to say I also firmly believe ther is a "master" plan and it was just not my turn to go. So life is good and I try to enjoy everyday because I CAN!!!. I LOVE cookbooks, the internet has become my big cookbook. A day doesn't go by without me printing a recipe. My DH remembers when I once went 3 months without making the same thing! I am a tad food obsessed. Well that it for now. I will now type all your names so you get a copy. Anne, Aleka &nikki Later

Wow, Lynn, God does work in mysterious ways and it does seem like at the time, something is bad when it actually is a great thing.
Good for you for living each day to it's fullest. It is the best way to live life!

I don't think you have to type our names for us to get a copy of this. When you make a post on any of the threads here on 3FC's, your automatically subscribed to that thread and will get an email when someone replies. Generally, you will get an email for the first reply after yours on that thread and no more until you visit the thread again. I still get replies from threads I responded to a year ago. You can stop the emails by unsubscribing to the thread.
Have a great day, Nikki

lynn, nikki is right when she said that God works in mysterious ways. You were so fortunate. Good for you for listening to your DD. What a great positive attitude you have about living every day to its fullest. I also love to collect cookbooks. Unfortunately I hardly ever use them.

ANNE, I'll be praying that your Dad has a good checkup this year. I know how you feel each year. I have a dear friend who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor 13 years ago. So far so good.

nikki, what you said about chemicals in food is true. When I was growing up in the 50's & 60's, everyone ate "real" food without all the chemicals you find in foods today. In all my years of schooling, I don't remember anyone having leukemia or any other form of childhood cancer that you see today. So, you do have to wonder.

Have a good night everyone.
