HI,
Well, the juicing has gone great. I feel like I have more energy than ever. I even lost some weight, probably water weight as I was in the bathroom every 10 min. yesterday.
I got the advance tape from ebay yesterday. Anne, it uses the skipped breathe method and when she does the positions, she just stays in the position and for the next 2 breaths, she just reaches farther. It's done on the floor and I would say that you would want to be pretty good at the breathing and the first video, before tackling this one. It also had a cassette with it. She just has you do the skipped breathe breathing on the cassette-43 times and she counts along and does it with you. I did it and I got to tell you, that is hard. I didn't try the advanced tape yet. Think I'll wait til I feel more comfortable and not out of breathe with the first tape.

Angry Monday morning...

We are having such humid weather that you can see it hanging in the air. We also are having occasional tropical downpours.

Hope you guys had a good weekend.

nikki, glad that the juice fast went well and that you liked doing it. Were you hungry at all? When will you do it again?

ANNE, how is your weather? Are you getting this tropical weather too? I'm just glad that the sun isn't out for any length of time.

Have a great day

Hi, Ladies, I've been following your threads. I'm about to start week 2 of Atkins induction and just un-earthed my long forgotten BF advanced tape.

I'm going to take measurements now (yikes) and commit to BF twice a day in addition to my usual workout.

May I join you here to chat and report results?

PS- I found my old measurement chart in with the tape, I had gotten the tape right after giving birth to my second child, my first week, I lost 4 inches on my waist!!! Wow, why did I stop doing it?

Hi everybody!
TwoPillows, of course you can join us. I think we've all (everyone on this thread has) done Atkins at one time or another. I've done it twice and think it's a great way to lose weight. Currently, I'm not low carbing, but still try to avoid sugar, white stuff (potatoes, breads, rice, milk) and eat more raw foods. You know, I think that what causes us to stop doing things, is that we are always taking care of everyone else first and ourselves later. And later never happens. I'm trying hard to put myself first (at least for the first hour of my day) by exercising. I'm loving BF and find that I feel more alive everyday.

Aleka, I never was hungry. Every time I started to feel hungry, I just made some juice. I think I drank juice 4 or 5 times that day. I ended up going through 1 lb of carrots, 3 apples, 1 cucumber, 2 cups of cherry tomatoes, 2 stalks of celery, 1 cup of mixed berries and 1 banana. Not at all low carb, but I lost 4 lbs that day and another 1 1/2 yesterday. Guess I'll see if I gain it all back in the next few days now that I'm back on solid foods again. I think I'll do it once a week, which is what Dr. Weil recommends.
I picked over 10 quarts of green beans this morning and a huge bowl of cherry tomatoes. At least the weather is great today, cool and less humid, so I didn't mind being out there.

Anne, hope your doing ok.

Talk to you all later, Nikki

Good Morning All:

Nikkic, the new tape sounds challenging. It will be a few
weeks(I think) before our tape arrives. Maybe in that time
we will be ready to give it a shot. Each week I am trying
to "kick it up a notch" This week I have the cord twisted once
around the body flex bar and I am doing all but the one
ab exercise on my feet.

Aleka, our weather has been yucky Rain rain rain and more
rain.

Tuesday we are taking David down to get his blood work done.
I am hoping he co-operates.
He has a doctors appt. on August 15 so I want to be sure the
doctor has his results for our visit.

Hi Two Pillows, welcome aboard.

Talk to you later.
Anne.

Angry Hello everyone!

We are still in the humidity and tropical downpours. I am getting my exercise by running around the house opening and shutting windows! I heard on the weather that the dew points today are in the 70's. This is FL humidity. Thankfully though, I'm glad that the sun isn't out all the time. It would be unbearable. I'm not complaining too..too much because I remember what kind of winter we had.

Welcome TwoPillows! We would like it if you would join us..the more the merrier. I haven't done Atkins, but I've been on other low carb plans. I am not low carbing now, rather I'm lite carbing. Like nikki, I'm not eating anything with added sugar, white flour, potatoes, white rice, etc. Looking forward to your posts.

ANNE, good luck to your son with his blood work. Has it been humid along with all the rain? You are doing really well with the BF. You added 5 lbs. to the bar by twisting the cord around it.

nikki, congratulations on your 4 lb. loss! How did it go once you started eating solid foods?

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,
I used a pc cleaner and it erased a lot of stuff. It was only suppose to erase unnecessary things, but apparently, I wasn't logged into 3fc anymore, so I didn't get the email that you'd replied Aleka and I had to relog in here. Wonder what else has been cleaned.
Anne, hope your Drs visit was not too difficult and that things are ok. I think your as close to a saint as I'll ever know, I don't have any idea how you do all that you do.
I was twisting the cord of the body flex bar about 2 times and found that it was difficult to keep it like that, so I just tied the end of it around the bar. I had to tie it a few times to keep it from pulling loose, but now its not going anywhere. I bet a clamp would do the same thing. I know one thing, when it comes loose and slaps you, you don't want to get snapped by a big rubber band like that again.
Aleka, I gained back 1 1/2 lbs. I'm not too surprised, I know it's water. Still down 3 or 4 lbs. I'm getting muscle definition in my forearms and I flex them all the time. Nobody seems to notice but me
I know what you mean by opening and shutting windows, Aleka. Last night, we had the ac on. I went out this morning to feed the outside cats and found out it was cool, so I opened the windows. An hour later, it was unbearable, so I shut the windows and turned the ac back on.
Hi 2 pillows, hope your doing well,
Later, Nikki

Angry Good morning...

nikki, we've been running the a/c during the day too, mostly in the late morning to late afternoon. We're having awful humidity with some pop up tropical showers that appear without warning. We are also seeing the sun at times which creates T/storms later on at night. Gaining only 1 1/2 lb. isn't bad at all after fasting for a day. That's wonderful you still are down 3 or 4 lbs.

ANNE, how did things go with your son's Dr. visit?

Hi TwoPillows hope things are going ok with you.

Have to get ready for my walk before the heat, humidity, and/or rain showers arrive!

Take care and have a great day.

Hi Everyone:

Nikkic, I am laughing so hard reading what you said about the
elastic band on the body flex It could give you quite a
wallop I am still just doing one turn. At the moment this
is challenging enough for me. I can certainly feel myself
getting stronger. I really enjoy this exercise and toning routine.

Aleka & Nikkic, the lab appointment went well. I am alway so nervousbecause David is unpredicable and can go in a rage at the drop of a hat. He was waited 15 minutes for his turn and was starting to get uptight, thank God the technician called us in before the s..t hit the fan. He can make an awful scene and because he looks so normal people are scared of him. He is really a little lamb with a lions roar. The lab techniican withdrew the blood from his hand because he wouldn't hold his arm properly. He will be seeing his developmental paediatrian on Aug 15 and I will get his results then. He is now 13, taller than me and weights 200 pounds. He doesn't look really obese just big. Thereason he weighs so much is because of the medication he is
on.

Talk to you later.
Anne.

Hi!
I manged to BF yesterday and today in addition to WATP. doing it twice a day may be more challenging than I hd anticipated, maybe one the kids are back in school...

Atkins is the easiest "Diet" I have ever been on. I feel like it was made for me. Ah, the new WOE honeymoon...hope it lasts.

We have been having daily thunderstorms ,on cue at about 3PM they come rolling in nearly every day. The North Carolina mountains have been amazing this summer. Not too warm or humid and exploding with flowers and birds. I'm not ready for fall yet. Aleka your plan sounds a lot like what I'll be aiming for when I get closer to my goal. It just sounds sensible.

HI!
It's a beautiful day, a little humid, but over cast, so the temps are still in the mid 80's and not too unbearable. 2pillows, I'm jealous of your weather and where you live. It sounds like a great place. We have good things here too, but sometimes you have to look close to find them
I was able to get outside and pull weeds, spray my gardens with an organic tonic and spray the driveway with vinegar and salt (this is suppose to kill weeds, hope so). I picked my beans last night, thinking that since I did it late, I could forget about it today. But, when I went down there to spray, there were all these beans again. Guess I"ll pick beans again this evening, they truely are amazing plants.
I did BF once today and am taking a day off from the gazelle and other exercise. My shoe on my right foot is rubbing against my big toe and it is so sore. Then there is a cut on my other foot from running around barefoot. So, guess I'll heal up before I make it worse.
2pillows, what does WATP stand for?
Anne, I'm sure glad Davids appointment went smooth. My oldest daughter takes a medication that also causes weight gain. It is hard to deal with some of the side effects from meds.
Aleka, I tried a different brand of soy milk and it was aweful! It said it was suppose to be the best tasting, but I thought it was too sweet. It said it was the original flavor, so I never even thought to look at the ingredients and after tasting it, I did. There was sugar and vanilla in it, plus a bunch of artifical stuff. The brand was 8th continent. I usually buy Soy Sun (or Sun Soy can't remember the order for sure) and it tastes a lot like regular milk to me. At least on cereal.
Take care, Nikki

Angry Good morning,

We had a lot of sun yesterday which created some thunder storms to come through late afternoon. We had a couple come roaring through. One bolt of lightning and one clap of thunder was too close for comfort. It made DH, the dog, & I really sit up and take notice! After that it cooled off a little. It felt so refreshing. I think the humidity will be back today though.

nikki, sorry about the soy milk. I have seen that 8 brand in our grocery store. It's relatively new here. Hope your foot and toe are doing better.

TwoPillows, the mountains of NC sound like a very beautiful place to live. I have been through NC on my way to FL and have also been to the coast. It is a beautiful state. Which WATP tapes do you have? I have the ones with the weighted balls. I love doing them! I really feel like I get a good workout using the weights.

ANNE, glad the appt. went well for you and David. Does he mind it when he has blood drawn or needles in general?

Have a great day!

HI,
Oh, Walk away the Pounds.
Aleka, lightening strikes scare the cr-p out of me too! Our weather is suppose to really heat up now. The State Fair starts today, so that figures. It is always extremely hot, humid and miserable for that here. We are going tomorrow. I like to see all the vegetables and DH likes to look at just everything. I get to eat a BBQ turkey leg, which is my favorite food in the world. I'm also getting a funnel cake. Not diet food, but it's a once a year indulgence. I'm hoping my feet will be in good shape by tomorrow.

Hi Everyone:
Its a hot one today Aleka, David doen't seem to mind
the blood being drawn. I think its the waiting that iritates him.
Heck, I don't like waiting either

We are still waiting for those advanced BF tapes. I bet Greer
does more that BF to be in the good condition she is in. I really
look forward to my afternoon workout when I get home from
my day at work. He helps ease my stress level after a day
with I find my breathing is better than it is first thing in
the morning too. My nose is always slightly stuffy when I wake
up. Oh well, I am sure the morning workout helps too and it
fits so well into my schedule.

Nikkic, my favorite food is beef. I like steak, roast beef, ground
beef, all tastes great to me The one good thing about low
carbing it, is the protein you get to eat.

Hope you have a great day at the fair! enjoy!.

Anne.
