Cloudy with occasional showers here today but still quite warm. Everything looks so lush and green and the flower gardens are looking terrific. Only I seem to be concerned about all the weeds lurking beneath the flowers.
I finished making jam and sliced frozen berries out of the two flats of strawberries I bought on Friday. Lots of strawberry jam and I hope it lasts dh at least 3 years.
I have a loaf of bread baking in the bread machine. Usually, I just get the machine to make the dough and then divide it into two small loaves and bake in my oven but it's a bit warm today, even with the rain, to turn on the oven.
I washed all my washable floors and cleaned the main bathroom but I really must tackle my ensuite bathroom. I'm the only one who uses it but it's always messier than the main bathroom. Hmmmm, I wonder why.
I have NOT been OP, which I've confessed before, but I still have hopes of getting back on. I'm going back on SBD with Ruth on Wednesday...after daughter's birthday tomorrow and Canada Day on Tuesday. I got on the scale this morning and the damage hasn't been as bad as I'd feared considering all the junk I've been gobbling up. Still, I did gain 4 lb and that's not the direction I want to be going. I really, really want to beat this cursed weight problem once and for all but it's so hard to stay motivated when I lose so slowly. Thank goodness for the Chicks and all your support. I don't know what the heck I'd do without you all.

just stopping back to say hi-

we worked at the house painting and cleaning more in the basement. DH really came thru, and pulled out all this old lumber(some 50 year old shelving) and painted a big closet. We also took down a wrought iron railing inside that was ugly. It feels so much better all in all. Tomorrow a contractor coming to combine 2 closets into one large one in a room that will be an office. can't wait!

supermarket shrimp cocktail and leftover steak. the no-cook dinner- I am too sweaty to go out!

hope you all are having fun. this is my second day OP, I remember this, it feels good!
