Default Breakfast Foods On Induction

I was wondering if any of you had any ideas for breakfast food for someone on a budget? Some of the recipes in the atkins book are rather expensive...I cant afford lobster The last few days I have been having two eggs for breakfast, but would like to know if there is anything else I can have? Something quick and easy as I dont have much time in the morning. It doesnt have to be traditional breakfast foods...just something easy so Im not tempted to make toast and cereal Thanks!!

Pre-cook a pound of bacon and keep it in a zip lock bag in your fridge. Put 3 slices on a plate. Cover with slices of your favorite non-processed cheese. Nuke until cheese melts into the bacon.
Quick and filling.
Beat your 2 eggs with a little bit of artificial sweetener and a drop of heavy cream. Pour into a buttered fry pan and let it cover the bottom of the pan. Do not stir. Dot with bits of cream cheese or cottage cheese and sprinkle on a 1/2 tsp of Crystal Lite granules (strawberry flavor is nice) When the eggs have set, gently fold it over and serve. It's kind of like a Danish.
Cut ham slices thin and fry. Top with thin slices of cheddar cheese and roll up. A nice take along.

check out the recipes thread... nasus has posted a ricotta pancake recipe that sounds FABULOUS, but heaven forbid that i actually COOK!!!

and i think it's scooby [or it might be pooky] who makes cream cheesy eggs... she makes hardboiled eggs, then mashes them up, and adds a tbs or so of cream cheese and then nukes them... i've tried it with other cheeses and it's great!

i'm a firm believer in deviled eggs, preferably with hot sauce.

cottage cheese, if it's not too many carbs right now. forget about yogurt.

chicken or tuna salad. wrapped in lettuce leaves or not.

a tip from the chinese: i LOVE the dumplings, but i only eat the meat part dipped in that yummy soy sauce that has garlic and fresh ginger in it.

cooked italian sausage crumbled up and nuked with some cheese.

Breakfast can be anything. Sometimes I have slices of roast beef from the deli nuked with cheese on top. Or egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad on lettuce leaves. Or just a piece of cheese and a slice of tomato. Hmmm, let's see, what else....don't forget you can have bacon with your eggs! Cheese crisp with cream cheese on top. Slices of ham and cheese, rolled up. Or any other deli meat rolled around a pickle spear with mayo.

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Whats great about this, is I am not in the least bit hungry. I am also not the least bit tired, or feeling deprived. Its wonderful!!!

Hi Amanda, Ive been eating a scrambled egg usually with come cheese grated in it, add a bit of taco seasoning to it for some change. Rolled roast beef slices from the deli, dipped in mustard....works good when your in a rush.

Forgot to mention the Fabulous Fake French Toast you can make with ground up Pork Rinds. It goes something like this but it's a very flexible recipe. Use the plain, salted pork puffs and crush them in a plastic bag. Mix in 2 eggs, 1/4 cup cream and 1/4 cup of water. Let is soak until the pork rind crumbs are soggy. Add cinnamon, baking powder, artificial sweetener. I've made it with 2 tbsp whey powder as well and it's good. Heat some oil on a griddle. Cook like pancakes. Top with butter. These are great with a sugar free syrup (Da Vincis makes a good one I hear), or later in the program you can have some artificially sweetened berries and a dab of whipped cream on them.
