Default Daily, Friday December 20th

coffee is on! Strong and Black!

I hear the big kid up, sure hope he go back to sleep until 7am!

Cupcakes for the both boys' classes today along with shipping out the teacher gifts. Perhaps some cookie baking. I still need to put the lights on outside, strip my house of the daily nick nacks and put up the holiday "stuff". I am in good shape....considering the shape I am in.

have a good one..it all gets done...one way or the other!

Morning Peach and those to come!!

DD's last day of preschool was yesterday, DS's party at school is today and then 2 weeks off, he will surely drive us nuts!!

Have a teeny bit more shopping to do - one brother in SC that I need to FEDEX his stuff today - BUT FIRST I MUST FIGURE OUT WHAT HIS STUFF IS??? EEK

My parents are coming tonite from FL they are only staying til monday - have I told you how aggravating that is...we are cooking a turkey and trimmings on Saturday..then I get to do CHristmas Eve and Christmas Day again...no turley again to, I bought a PRime Rib Roast for Christmas - special treat.

I have to take the kids to see Santa sometime - not sure when that will be. i think Monday - nothing like cutting it close...DS asked me about it last night. I am a loser.

Well I just got off the treadmill - must go shower so I can go to work - off after today til the 26th. YEA!!!

Have a great day ladies.

Morning all!!

peachie.......need.......coffee.......please!!

Rachel I remember trying to get the kiddies to see Santa, always one of the last things on the list to do! Don't stress, just stand in line with everyone else oh sorry, I was trying to make you feel better. But really, I'm sure it will be okay.

Yesterday was a VERY expensive day for us. My tires and brakes on my van were over $600.00 and our portion of hubbies crown was over $500.00!!!!! Gee, I really wanted tires and brakes as a Christmas present and I know hubby just wanted a crown for Christmas. Oh well, it could be worse! Must always look on the bright side.

Today is cookie baking day for me. Number 2 son told me last night to make sure I had cookies going by the time he got up this morning........he wanted to wake up to the smell of cookies!!

dottie did you watch Survivor last night? What did you think of Brian winning? I didn't mind him winning, but I was pulling for Helen. The thing that bugs me about him winning is his wife....she to me, seems like a selfish such and such. Oh well, reality tv, ya gotta love it.

Have a good one everyone!

Quick post. I've been awake and up with cramps anda the runs since 3 and am heading back to bed for a bit. Great timing! I just hope it's not the Norwalk Virus or whatever it's called.

Anyhow the shopping is done and wrapped. I just need Fly-Lady to come and do the tree now.

Will check in later.

Default good morning!!!

i'll try to keep down the cheerfulness.. well, mostly because i'm just hanging on...

ate too many christmas goodies at work yesterday, so i made sure to swim my half mile last night. only problem: i forgot to take my asthma meds beforehand, so i was struggling. but in typical jiffypop fashion, whether it was the right thing to do or not, no matter how stupid it might have been... i kept going. it took longer than usual, but i did it.

and then i was hungry [no dinner yet] so i had a small wendy's chili, and hoped it wouldn't give me nightmares!!! but it was ok.

have to get ready for work... and some biking and weights beforehand [is this REALLY me??? DOTTIE!!! COME SAVE ME!!!!]

and dreading all the stuff that has to be done over the weekend, and i will try to get monday off but that damn office might have ISSUES with it... TOUGH!!! this is personal self defense.

peachie's house looks very un-christmassy at the moment. she always fixes it up so nicely, so i'll have to stop by later and see what she's done this year. and she's picked a rainy day to do this!!

Can you all spare a prayer or two for my friend margy? her mother died a couple of weeks ago, and they were extremely close. margy's only sister is in a near-vegetative state from end stage MS, and margy is so depressed dealing with all this. and she has no other family. yes, i'm worried about her, but she IS seeing friends and getting up in the morning and getting dressed. but some warm thoughts would help.

still haven't finished knitting my niece's scarf. nothing is wrapped. mom cleaned off the dining room table, and it looks nice, but she just dumped it all onto the dining room hutch!!! <Sigh>

next round!!!!!!

love you all...

Well, my cookie baking is off to a bang-up-start! I burned the you know what out of my thumb on a hot bowl of melted chocolate. Big beautiful blister. OUCH.........whine, whine, whine.

Morning!

Prayers will be said for Margy and warm thoughts sent her way.

My tree is up, lights are on it. WOOOHOOOO. I cleaned my oven yesterday, EWWWWW I HATE that job!!! Right hand is swollen today from too much scrubbing.

Scooby = I will pass on the Nanny if I have to take the hubby. Got more than my share of Testosterone in my house as it is!LOL

Well did not get at my lasagne's yesterday, took a look at my oven and felt it should be done before cooking anything else in it or it would fer sure set off the smoke detector, or as my husband calls it The Dinner Bell! Hmmmpfffff!!

Have a wonderfully productive, on plan, happy day!!!!

Well, I am the Christmas psychopath today--last minute stocking stuffers bought, prep for work tonight done, cleaning the house as we speak, batteries charged in the video cam done, out the door by 3 sharp to go and see Miree's Christmas concert (dad will be showing up at 4 when it starts), fly home, eat a quickie supper, go to bed and sleep for 6 hours till I have to get up at 11 to start my 12 hour shift by 12. Bought myself some Christmas Harlequins to pass the time--no heavy reading on an overnight shift! Also packed a wee treat for myself, some yummy pate and crackers to indulgeon at work--see, aren't I nice to myself?

Have a good one, got to go rescue the dog whining at the door....

Nothing terribly exciting going on here.
Ruth, I hope you're feeling better by now. What a nuisance to come down with a bug at this time of year!

Jiff, I'm in AWE of your commitment to exercise. You are truly an inspiration....if I let you be. hehehe I managed to weasel out of my swimming this morning. Such a lazy slug am I.

I got on the scale this morning (big mistake) but in spite of my best efforts I haven't gained any more pounds this past week. Gee, do you think that means I can eat even MORE goodies?

No time to stay and chatter today. Lots of humdrum chores and errands to do. Catch you later I hope.

inspiration??? ME???? ugh. i'm still too stunned by all of this to feel inspirational, or inspiring or anything like that. and actually, i didn't make it to the gym this morning. i stopped at peachie's and she said WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYE???? and i said, oh, it's still red? it itches. hm,mmm. maybe i'd better go to the eye doc [since it's the friday before christmas and who wants to have an eye infection over the weekend leading into the holiday????]

so, off i went. yep!!! i sure shouldn't have stuck that mascara brush into my eye yesterday morning. NO MORE GLAMOUR FOR ME, GIRLS. nope!!! i'm gonna stick to something simple like weight lifting!!!! [ACK!!!!!] [how do those southern belles do it???? the makeup thing]

and debk... STEP AWAY FROM THE STOVE!!!!! if you're suffering injuries, it's best to stop doing it. don't you think??? go find a good bakery instead, and put a pot of water with cinnamon, cloves, lemon peel on simmer. fools them every time!

by the way, have ya'll noticed that sherrie has said NOT A WORD about the BF??? why are ya holding out on us???

love you all... and thank you for the prayers...

Hi, MEW! I remember you! I'm wearing the Santa earrings today.
Went back to bed for a while this morning but felt better in the afternoon so the tree is finally up! Now we just need to keep Miss Lucy from hauling the stuff off it!
I hope everyone is able to gear down a bit this weekend to enjoy the holidays.
