Janice, I understand how you feel. They would not do my dad's surgery in town because they also wanted to do something to repair is atrial fibrillation while they were at it, and the only place in the country to do this was Birmingham, about 6 hours away. If I went, that meant taking Cody out of school and going down there and Cody would not have been able to handle it. They drove my parents down by ambulance the next morning. My Mom insisted all the kids stay here, so we did. It was awful waiting for the phone to ring, but it finally did. Mom had enough to worry about while they were in the hospital, and Dad knew we all loved him before he went, and they wanted it that way. Now that I look back on it, I was more needed AFTER the surgery. Recovery is hard to watch, and that was what Mom and Dad needed the moral and physical support for.
I hope you get better soon. I don't know what an inside out breast means exactly, but it doesn't sound good! Please take good care!
