Default Food logs week of 11/11

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great OP weekend! I myself was significantly off plan this weekend. Too much wine and celebrating, and sloppy eating. I didn't eat straight carbs, but had a couple of breaded dishes and some beans. *sigh*. I didn't want to weigh myself this morning because I thought it would depress me.

And, I've decided that next Monday I am going back to straight, strict induction for a week. If I can just maintain at 148 until then I'll be happy, and hopefully start losing again.

Anyway, food for today as planned:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs with american cheese and bacon
Lunch: stuffed cabbage (stuffed with ground meat, feta cheese and oregano with tomato sauce on top), whipped califlower, green beans with butter.
Dinner: unknown. I will be going to a diner before class so something like tuna or chicken salad probably.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Yesterday I wasn't too sure what I was going to make for last night's dinner with the chicken breasts I had on hand. Well, I ended up cutting them in chunks seasoning them and sauteeing them in butter with chopped onions, green peppers, zucchini and mushrooms. After everything was nicely browned I added a half cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of water, seasoned with salt, pepper and some Italian seasoning and let it simmer until it had thickened up a bit. I then sprinkled on some chopped fresh parsley. Served it with cabbage that had been stir-fried with chopped bacon and onions. Very good.
Lately I've been making a yummy salad that even DH likes. I chop up green onions, green peppers, fresh tomatoes and raw cauliflower into bite sized pieces. Top with lettuce and toss with olive oil/flaxseed oil mixture, balsamic vinegar and salt & pepper. Of course other veggies go well in it too. I just use what I have. Peter prefers creamy dressings so often I leave the salad bare and I'll have the oil/vinegar combo and he'll have Ranch.
Today, so far I've just had breakfast
3 strips of turkey bacon
2 eggs scrambled
1 tsp catsup

Lunch will be leftover chicken from last night.

Dinner planned
Roast beef
Leftover cabbage/bacon mixture
Mixed salad.

Had a decent weekend. I see two things that I'm having trouble with. The first is I'm snitching bites of this and that. The second I need more water and less sodas!!

Breakfast

2 slices of turkey rolled around string cheese

Lunch

Bacon, lettuce, mayo and a little ketchup in a salad.

Dinner

Chicken legs done up like hot wings with some asparagus.

I have to at least get 64oz. of water in today.

Angry its weigh in day

I had a good weekend and stayed OP, however, today I have no intention of staying OP Its my anniversay, and my hubby wants to take me out......I'll watch what I eat, stay away from pasta's etc. But Im going to enjoy my night out and celebrate meeting my first goal. Im down to 219.5 !!! and 4.75 inches gone in the last week

My weight loss has slowed down considerably this week, and Im not sure why. Ive been walking more, and longer. However last week I had 2 adkins bars, and pork rinds for a few snacks. I think I'll cut those out, and cut back on the cheese and see what happens. Im still in Ketosis though.

Ok, here is whats for breaky, 1 egg (i was in a hurry)
Lunch. left over chicken from Saturday
Supper...what ever I want

Went for my walk today, and keeping my water intake up!

Have a good day ladies
Robin

Robin - fabulous!!! Don't worry about the scale. You have lost over 20 lbs. in just under a month! If you are still in ketosis and losing inches, you are losing fat, and your body is just holding onto water to even things out. There was a post about this not long ago. When you do Atkins, you tend to plateau, but in reality you are still losing. Have a great time tonight and congratulations on your success!!

I'm going to try to post what I eat, so I can see what I'm doing better. I have plateaued for awhile. I did measure my abdomin yesterday and found I've lost 6 inches since starting, so even though I'm staying the same, I think I'm gaining muscle and losing fat.

Breakfast-Atkins shake
Snack-pork rinds and homemade ranch dip
Lunch-chefs salad with a mix of veggies, turkey breast, feta cheese, homemade french dressing
Supper-chili, no beans with a sprinkling of cheddar cheese on top
Snack for later-boiled egg and celery

Default Monday

pretty good yesterday, it was my neice's birthday, and mom made the worst birthday cake you can imagine, I ate some, but she topped it with a mixture of coolwhip and sf vanilla pudding mix- sort of a sweetened, whipped creamy thing, not all that tempting! So I did OK, some wine, part of a roll, a few bites of cake...I can live with that.

Today:
b-broccoli with cheddar melted on top

s-1/2 serving bran cereal and 1/2 c. whole milk

l-big salad with some tuna, swiss cheese, tomatoes, red peppers

s-chicken drumstick

d-chili with just a few beans

that's it!

Default Tuesday

Hi everyone! Wow, I really can't believe this (after last weekend) but I weighed today and I'm down a pound. Soooo happy and motivated.

Dinner last night was as planned - chicken salad on a bed of lettuce.

Today:
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with 3 sausage links
Lunch: Stuffed cabbage with whipped cauliflower and green beans with butter
Snack: Tom Yum thai soup (I suspect there is a little sugar in this) with vegetables and tofu
Dinner: Probably will be grilled chicken with green beans and whipped cauliflower.

I've stayed away from the bars and I wonder if this is why I lost the pound. Anyway, if I reach 145 before Dec. 1 I am just going to try and maintain there before starting to lose again. Maintenance is my big problem, and I need practice. Hope you all are well today!!

O.K. my turn

Breakfast~~ Steak-Ums with some left over hot wing sauce and melted mozz. cheese

Lunch~~ Tuna with mayo on shredded lettuce

Dinner~~ Chicken breast and some asparagus with butter. I'll probably have a small salad with some creamy dressing.

64. oz of water . Breakfast was different I desperately need to go to the store. I've been trying to make due with what I have on hand but I'm running out of good things to eat....that's not a good idea!!!

Default Wednesday

Good morning all,
Well, dinner last night was different than planned. I pretty much grazed it. Here's what I had, thoughout the night:

cheese crisp with goat cheese and .5 avocado spread on
bag of pork rinds with goat cheese
little creamed cauliflower and one string bean

I was told by my dr. to avoid chicken and eggs until 7pm tonight (I received a holistic allergy treatment against them and you can't eat them for 25 hours after the treatment)

Here's today's menu, planned:

Breakfast: tea and Atkins Pralines and Cream Bar
Lunch: stuffed cabbage, creamed cauliflower and green beans (this is the last of this stuff for the week LOL I cook on Sundays for the week).
Dinner: planned - egg salad on pork rinds with broccoli sprouts

One thing I really need to address is the snacking issue. Now that I'm on track about the carbs, it's time to move towards behavior modification. Most importantly I need to sit down and eat dinner at the dining room table and not snack before/after that. At work I might allow myself a snack in the morning and afternoon if I feel like it, but I really shouldn't eat more than 5x per day - three meals and two snacks. The evenings have become just one eatfest after another.

Once I get the snacking issue down, then it's time to move on to lowering the fat a bit. I'll give myself until the end of the year to deal with snacking.
