Finally Friday !

  • Good Moring All,

Coffee is on and I've already helped myself....feel free to do the same cream is in the fridge and splenda by the coffee maker.

    Busy day here...again!

School this morning and then off to the grocery store. I really need alot of things this time. I haven't been to the store to do "the big haul" as my DH puts it, for two weeks. I've been pinching pennies lately because we are trying to pay off some of our bills.

When we come back I want to have art class with the boys. I bought them some bisque Christmas ornaments and they can start to paint them today. I got most of them for the tree but some of the smaller ones I thought would be nice tied around their gifts to Mamaw and Pap with a cute ribbon. That way they too have a little keepsake from the boys.

Before work tonight I have to try to get some sleep. I'd love to be able to lay down around 6:00 P.M. and then get up at 10:00 P.M. to be at work an hour later. Why do I want sleep...I'm going to the outlets shopping tomorrow with a bunch of ladies from our church and I need to be prepared. Hopefully I'll have a 1:1 with a psych. patient tonight...they are my favorite people to work with !!

Have a great day and a relaxing weekend.

    Blessings to all, ChirssyB
  • Good Morning Chrissy and all to come.

Chrissy when doing your grocery shopping don't forget Aldi's, I really like that store. Only problem is, they are so limited on what they have, but for butter, cheese, baking supplies, kids snacks they can't be beat.

Janice I read your post from last night. I think it is probably for the best that you stay home and take care of yourself. I was telling my nurse friend about you yesterday and when I mentioned the green ooze (sp) she was a little concerned. Wanted to know what exactly they were doing for you and also mentioned that you shouldn't be around your Dad too much with an infection. This is the same nurse friend that was my Guardian Angel while I was in the hospital and who gave my hubby a shoulder to lean on for all those weeks. Take care of yourself.

This should be our last football game tonight, unless by some strange twist we win, than we play again next week. I'm making a double batch of choc chip cookies for the kids that hubby and I chaperone on our bus (it's an away game.) Wouldn't you know it, it's going to rain tonight, cold, rain, not the way I want to spend the evening.

Off to bake my cookies, hope you all have a great Friday.

    Debbie
  • Hey, Crissy and Deb, if you supply the coffee and a couple of those cookies, I won't have to swing by the grocery store before work. Please?

It's going to be a great day, that is my mantra today. Got plenty of sleep last night, finally! The work load is light, it's payday, and the boss is out of town. My favorite Friday!! Grandma is picking up dd from daycare, taking her for the weekend, and I'm going out for my early birthday celebration tonight. Don't quite know where I'm going yet, but I intend to have a good time. No cake yet, saving that for the real day. How about a steak instead!!

Ya'll have a great day, I'll check in later!
  • Morning all you chickies already up and at 'em, and those slugabeds yet to come....... Today will be a long one - I have to be at work at 3 today, but I must leave home by 12:30 to be sure I get to the Bronx by 2:30.... sheesh! I LOVE New York roads (NOT!) hopefully tho, the rain will hold out until I get back home tonight....... anytime between 8 and 9:30 .......

Chrissy, thanks for the coffee - I really needed it!

Deb, good luck on tonight's game (whichEVER way you want it to turn out!! ) - and especially with those cookies! I don't know how you do it: bake yummy stuff and not eat it - I could never do that.

    Sherrie, enjoy your fabulous friday.

Janice, take good care of those purple puppies - after all, purple and green are definitely NOT the best color combination! Soft hugs to you......

to everyone else to come: have a terrific day ladychicks......
  • TGIF, Chickies! It is snowing here in the boonies and the dogs are very excited! Lucy leaps in the air to catch the big snowflakes. Now we have mud and snow on eight paws but I don't give a hoot. Lucy decided to dig up her nylon bone from the garden and bring it inside for the winter.

Sort of sad today because Hershey is moving to Morna's house for her "confinement". Usually it would be another week but she is going now because I am going away tomorrow. She will sleep in Morna's bedroom the rest of this week but then move to sleeping in the whelping room for the week before delivery day - December 1. It will be so strange for us all to be Hershey-less. She won't be home until January when the pups are weaned. I will be visiting a lot, of course. Anyhow she had a special breakfast this morning - puppy chow, asparagus and sardines in spring water! Yick!

Janice, I am so glad somebody put the clamps on you and you are still home in Houston. It's true, your Dad does not need any infections around him. I sure hope the boob situation clears up fast for you. The ear thing sounds terrible!

Goodforme, cookies????? How about a good breakfast? If pure low carb does not appeal, maybe toast and peanut butter until your tummy decides to normalize? You really have to start eating more AND BETTER.

ChrissyB, I love hearing about your kidlets and home schooling. I am a teacher but really believe in home schooling in lots of situations. Quite a few parents around here HS and the kids are just great.

Debkay, you certainly are a great support to those kidlets! I hope the game tonight goes well with good weather.

Samsgram, safe trip to The Bronx. The thought of driving in New York gives me the willies - and I've driven in Paris and Rome! Rain and/or snow make any kind of driving tricky.

I'd better start my day. I still need to shorten the sleeves on a shirt/jacket that I want to take on my trip. Maybe I'll make sleeve garters instead. Haircut at 2 this afternoon and then I deliver my darling Hershey to Morna's.

    Have a great OP day.
  • Good Morning everyone!

Busy morning this morning cleaning out my rampaged office (yeah, still didn't get it done!) and some laundry to do. The wee one is in daycare and trust me these days that's a good thing.

I'm in the midst of planning, planning, planning. I have no less than 2 Christmas parties to attend myself and Miree has 4 parties to attend (Grammie's work, Daddy's work. drop-in, daycare) So that means lots of snackies to make. I also drew up my Christmas card list (yes, you guys included)--would you believe 80 people? Most of them are hand deliverable so I'm not going to go broke in postage! Made some arrangements with my Mom to take Miree for the weekend of Nov.30-Dec.1st since her staff party for the kids is on the 1st anyway. I will be cleaning and Christmasifying my house--the tree will go up. Dh will be at a computer show to buy a monitor to build Miree a computer for Christmas. It's time because she keeps asking to play games on ours and since we have all the parts for a computer he's going to make one for her. He is also going to build her a little computer desk and we'll park it in the living room, that way I can keep a good eye on her. I don't know if Santa is going to bring this one or Daddy--we'll see.

Janice honey, green stuff coming from your boob isn't good and I am sorry that you can't be with your Dad but I know you wouldn't want him to have the risk of getting the infection too!

Meowna, hoping things go well for your dh today!

Ruth, I know it will be hard without Hershey there but then you can focus on getting Lucy even better socialized. One on one time with Mom is always needed

Sherrie, I hope you're eating girlfriend--what did you have for breakfast?

Chrissy, do I have this right? You home schoolo your boys AND work? You are my hero!

Deb, have fun at the game and wear a parka!

SamsG, sorry you have to work, at least it goes by quick, right?

Hope you all have a great day!
  • WOW
I'm up and have the house to myself for the first morning in years!!! Brings back good old memories. Alvin has gone for his appointment withthe personal trainer.

Samsgram: I actually like green and purple together, but not on boobies

Jancie, you know your are in my prayers. I know how hard it is to have loved ones going through hospital stays when you can't be there. Even though there is nothing you can do, you want to be there.

Weigh-in went well today only 1/4 pound above my pre=vacation weight.

Are there any computer wizzards our there? I bought a program that was suppossed to eliminate spam your email, and after I installed it, it not only has eliminated the spam, it's eliminated the email!!!! I can't get outlook express to connect!!! Any suggestions?

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Good morning! I have a big day planned. Need to go to the bank, go buy vitamins, go to the card shop, Drug store, a shop I had a gift certificate for from Bosses Day but never got a chance to go shopping for, get a hair cut, and take Cody to TaeKwonDo and then to my Moms. Hey, I didn't say it was exciting, just busy!

This is my last day of 'real vacation' and I don't feel like I got ON vacation until last night when I finished the kitchen cabinets. Sigh. I am just really really burned out from my job. I will be counting the months until I can take another 2 weeks!

Ok, off to some spectacular scrambled eggs and DECAF coffee. I drank real coffee last night for the first time in ages and I was awake until about 2:30 this morning.

    Have a great day!

Janice, update us when you can!
  • Morning All!

MamaJ & Pooky- thanks for your wishes for hubby today, it is not serious surgery is oral surgery, but he had an awful experience the last time he went under (couldn't wake up for hours, and when he did he kept passing out every time he sat or stood up)and the last surgery left him botched up (nerve damage) so he is terrified to go under again.

I got more sleep last night, (only had 4 hours the nite prior), forced myself to go do my errands yesterday, even did my hair and put on some makeup! Didn't want to scare the shoppers with my glazed pms eye twitchin, wild woman look
My doctor says I am peri menopausal, think that is a dirty word!

Well today I am not the carrot, not sure what I'll be, but hubby will need me, and I will also allow myself to take some pain pills if my arthritis flares up again, (dreamt that someone was shooting fireballs at my knees, woke me outa a dead sleep to check them, sure enough they were hot and red, damm rheumatoid!)

Well I am planning to be op all day today, I will smile when I don't feel like it and I will overcome this PMS monster!

Mamaj - purple and green should never be seen, take care of yourself, get better soooooon!

Well chickys you all have a great day
  • Meowna! I planned on asking what surgery, then forgot. Shame on me! Good luck with it, I can imagine that he is scared. I bet since they know about it they will be extra cautious this time.

    Kick PMS Butt!
  • After yesterday's cookie fiasco, this morning I ate 2 boiled eggs. Felt fine until lunch, then a little woozy, so some barbeque and cole slaw, waaaaaaaaaaay too sweet. Nothing is made in the south without sugar!! Anyway, steak for dinner, so I've done really well today. Ruth, the tummy is still in turmoil, but the brain seems to be getting back in gear! Hope ya'll had a great night, I sure did. Just got home from dancing the night away, hope I don't regret it tomorrow. Last time I danced I had to visit the chiropractor! Talk to you tomorrow/today!
