Morning Susan! It is good to see you!

I have hit bottom and am starting over TODAY! My clothes are tight and I feel yucky!!!

We had a great time in Disney. There were some truly some magical moments filled with pixie dust. You know, the ones where you as the mom are looking more at your kids than at the goings on around you. Disney, it seems has its own exchange rate which stinks but if any of you are interested in going check out www.mousesavers.com lots of good info and links there.

I hear the little guy getting up!

Debkay, don't worry about it....When I got to the airport I realized that because of security you would not have been able to get down to the gate, and I wouldn't have had time to get out of the gate to catch my connection.

got to run....looking forward to feeling a bit more energized!

later,
peach

Good Morning,

Gee, everyone's down in the dumps lately....Come on over I'll cheer you up

Nothing new here. So far its day #5 on the "diet patrol" and I'm doing pretty good. Ahhhhhh but the weekend is here and thats a big problem for me cause I LUV to pig out on the weekend.... Pray that God gives me the strength. I actually got on the eliptical for 5 whole minutes last night.

Feel like shopping now that Deb mentioned Walmart the other day...so I probably will be heading up to NYS.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy shopping Leens!

Ruthie, I am so sure that Lucy will be a star at graduation!

I am off with my dh today who took a stress day from work. The wee one is in daycare all day so we are going to go get some Korean food and some pictures frames. Red face Morning all

Good Morning Ladies!

Seems when things happen, they all happen at the same time around here. The biggest one, however was my dicision to start a twig furniture making class at the store. (Came out of the marketing day) Sometimes I just think too damn much!

We need to create more traffic and attention to the store, so Im going to break down, and agree to trash (saw dust city) the store 2 nights a week. Im not sure how smart this is...but if it brings in the ppl..its great lol

Still OP and doing ok...for some reason, ive been really hungry after supper. I think its just me, and I need to do something after supper (walking maybe) to keep my mind off of it. Actually starting to feel the weight gone...undies are too big!! how cool is that??!! Decided to measure my waist this morn, instead of sneaking on the evil scale......and im pleased, seems to be an inch gone!

Peach, I hope you had a good time.......that's my next destination...dont know when, but its next.

Have a good friday!
Robin

Good morning guys! Today is mostly good for me, well, I thought so until just now anyway! I thought of a few bad things.
I have been in 'arguments' with somebody on a mailing list I am on...It is 11AM already and I haven't showered, etc and I have a TON to do before I get Cody from school, I have nothing here for lunch, and I have to go to WalMart twice in one week. An anxiety-suffereres ****! Hmm, well I will pretend it is the great morning I thought it was 3 minutes ago!

Robin, hope the class goes well! You are doing great with the inches and pounds, by the way!

Sue, it was nice to see you again! I am sorry you are in carb ****. I was there until Sunday, and I feel sooooooo much better. I know today will be tough, I will think about you. Remember, tomorrow will be much better!

Ok everybody, off to the showers. Shoo!

Angry Hi all !

Just another quick hello to everyone!

I'm still recovering. Today's surgeon check up went well but it's still a wait and see type of situation. The "wet / dry" treatments I'm doing is the worse pain I can possibly imagine. But they say is necessary to stimulate new growth. If all continues moving in the right direction I am scheduled for the TT & lip on 11/25 so that they can do the skin grafts with the excess tummy skin. Gee, it only gets better, huh?

Hope all are doing well and I'll check back in soon.

Oh, gosh, MamaJ, any time I begin to think about cosmetic surgery I will remind myself of what you're going through. I certainly hope it is worth it in the long run. I'd still like to have the lipo and tt. If and when I lose all my weight, I will be tripping over the apron of skin hanging down.
Jennifer I know what you mean about a promising morning turning into the morning from ****. I hope things improve for you as the day goes on.
Robin what great news about the lost inch. No wonder you're chirping ! I think your twig furniture classes are a great idea. I've seen some of that stuff and thought it would look cool in my garden but I wouldn't know where to start. I guess some twigs would help.
No time to respond to more posts. Just want to share my good news and my bad news.
The good news is I was rejected from the diet drug study because I'm too healthy. All the bloodwork the hospital did showed that my blood glucose is just a little too low to fit into their guidelines for the study. I'm just as happy not to be a participant because the drive into Vancouver and the parking are very stressful. Still, I would have liked to try out the new diet drug. I will look on the bright side though and be glad my blood glucose was low enough to keep me out of the study.
The bad news is that my doctor called me in to discuss the results of the bloodwork HE had done recently. It seems my LDL (the bad cholesterol) levels are on the high side and he doesn't seem to think diet modification is going to make all that much difference so he's putting me on Lipitor. Darn, darn and darn again! I hate taking meds but with my family history of heart disease, I guess I'd better face the music. Trying to find the bright side of this news but so far I haven't come up with anything. I guess I could consider it lucky that this was discovered and can be treated whereas in the bad old days, folks just had to accept that they were probably going to die young.
Well, I'm off to have a late lunch (not sure what yet but it will be low carb) and watch Y&R. See who's doing what to whom.

Well, Linda - that is good news bad news. Have you considered starting to drink red wine to fix that LDL (Lousy Damned Lipids)?
Works for me. Anyhow, Harry is on Lipitor and his levels are good now. You may want to try the meds before the wine cure!

All this chat about the American Thanksgiving! If I were not going out west just before that, I'd be inclined to sneak over the border for Turkey Day! I love turkey - particularly the smell of it roasting! Guess I'll have to wait for Christmas now.

Lucy did OK at class today and graduated with the rest of the furries. So silly! Diploma, biscuit and class picture! She will miss seeing her pals every Friday but we have set a couple of "play dates" - I wonder if we will follow through. Next training for Lucy is strict show training with the Trainer/Handler. I sure hope that does not start until after Christmas as she will be going away to "boot camp" and I will miss her tremendously. (She got Hersh and me up at 3 for a pee/poo break but we all got back to sleep for once. I think her new dog food is throwing her off schedule.)

MamaJ - you are having such a tough time of it! I hope things settle down soon - well, I hope they stay perky but you know what I mean.

Robin, that twig furniture looks so wonderful outdoors and can even be comfy if you give it the butt test as you work on it. I took a workshop years ago and made a loveseat - it was hard work, hard on the hands but fun.

Sue, so sorry that work and home are both stressful! Do you still have your European student? Extra people in the pack can certainly change dynamics.

The "lads" have had a wonderful deer hunting season! My friend Art is coming around with "steaks" for us. Last year the so-called steaks were marinated forever and ended up in a stew which only Harry and Hershey ate. I don't have a problem eating Bambi or Thumper usually but that stuff was awful! At least venison is low carb!

We are BBQing tonight because it is above freezing - a marinated flank steak! Must be sure DH takes the good flashlight because it sure is dark out there. I can hardly wait for the winter solstice when it starts to get brighter instead of darker.

Have a good weekend with some good ME stuff!

Red face A late post from me

Hello friends. Looks like alot of people checked in today.

My day was so-so. Not good not bad. It's what I call "dooable"

The kids did all of their work. DS#3 loves doing his school work and very seldom needs to be reminded what's to be done. He has initiative. DS#2 has some initiative but needs to feel secure about what he is doing. The poor kid second guesses himself so much. If I can teach him anything I hope to teach him to have confidence in himself. DS#1 is a different story. He's an opportunist and takes advantage ifs I turn my back. You know it's funny because I was so much like him when I was his age. Always trying to get one over on my parents. They werent onto me like I am with the boys.

After school was over dear ol' mom, thats me, took a nap. I have to stop this. I am dragging. No particular reason....well, maybe the benadryl has something to do with it. I also have a problem with low energy when I low carb. I'm wondering if taking supplements would help me with energy. I think I'll make a post asking this one.

I secretly am hoping that I get cancelled this evening. I know that probably sounds lazy and it is. I have to go to church tomorrow morning and help put the clothes in boxes that we had out for a clothing drive. It'll probably take a few hours and I'll be doing that right after doing an 11-7. I'll be dragging but I promised that I'd help and I wont go back on my word.

I have so much to do this weekend I wonder if I'll get it all done I still have not kicked my caffeine habit so you know that I'll be downing the coffee and dare I say Mtn. Dews...diet of course.

Chrissy--I find that a magnesium and potassium supplement really help with energy levels while low carbing. I'm finding they are really making a difference!

Hey DebKay; Thought about you tonight. I went to a high school football game to see my nephew play. Alvin said too bad the football team wasn't as good as the band.

I've managed to be OP all day, no cravings until night time. I've made a breakfast casserole that has to set overnight, for breakfast tomorrow.

Son Mark got to come home today, but he is still bleeding a lot, and I'm really worried about that.

Janice, glad you're feeling better. I'll be glad when this nightmare is over for you.
